Went to Chevy El Dorado for the 6.2 engine recall. During the diagnoses they said I needed 2 tires so I agreed to get 2 tires, an alignment, and rotate the new tires to the rear. I picked up my vehicle on Thursday at 4pm and went straight home. I have a work vehicle so my personal vehicle stayed home Friday. While running errands on Saturday I heard a loud metal object hit the bottom of the vehicle. I pulled over and couldn't find anything. Proceeded home and heard the right wheel knocking when I turned. Took it back to Chevy el dorado and was told oh everything we did was fine but you are missing at bushing bracket. We can take care of that for $300. I don't believe in coincidences, just be honest and say I'm sorry about our mistake and we probably didn't tighten the bolts to the bracket and will take care of this for you. Once I left, I received a call from the manager Robert and he listened and understood that it could've been their mistake but it's hard to say. He was kind enough to take care of this issue! I visited El Dorado Chevrolet/Mazda on 11/13/2025 after seeing a 2025 Mazda CX-50 advertised online with 14 miles for $34,495. After driving over 40 miles each way and agreeing to terms based on that listing, my wife and I learned the vehicle actually had about 2,600 miles and had been used as a loaner--information that was never disclosed beforehand. Had the mileage been accurately represented, we would not have made the trip or proceeded with credit checks. Our salesperson was professional, but our experience in the finance office was extremely disappointing. The finance manager spoke to us in a condescending and belittling manner, making us feel uncomfortable and disrespected. Between the misleading vehicle listing and the unprofessional treatment in finance, our visit was a waste of time and resulted in unnecessary credit inquiries. Every thing else after I sat in Finance manager, forgot his name. Buff typical Chad looking, and acting. Name started with G finance manager. I walked into his office a happy customer for life and all that changed when I left. Long story short he told me there was no deal when I was sitting in his office and that the front office made mistake and that they are incompetent at times and he will go save the deal. Came back ran me credit in 4 other places added $3500 of extended warranty dint really show me the deal just the s teen when I sign and said I did it and saved your deal. The payment just went up by $50 and before i could see it folded the papers and handed me the envelope like he saved the world. When I go home and see all that and add the numbers I went to by a t buck advertised for $35000 online and ended up financing $41000 with $1200 down for exact same truck. I'm not an experts but the math doesn't add up. Shame on me for not checking the final paper work but there was so much in and out of the room on his end like something serious happening and he created confusion I just singed and left. That just speaks DISHONEST to me. So you lost a customer that would have come back for life over some Nickle and dime for multimillion dollar company like yours, it can take a snow ball affect, as you find ways to make customer cheated. Well I'm not sure which way to lean on this. I have a 21 2500 z71. At the time of service my truck had 61k miles still under warranty. I unfortunately experienced transmission failure and torque converter failure, which was from the previous owner not towing properly. I took it in to the service dept to have a diag done, i was told 2-3 days tops for it to be done. 7-8 days later it was completed which i get Gm Is having issues. The warranty dept is the real problem, it took 21 days for me to get my truck back. I've read all the reviews about this dealership. I feel like it's a bit or miss. But after calling 2 different service advisors and getting 2 different stories about my truck i can see how the ratings are what they are. All in all, again it's the warranty company. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP We had a terrible experience with Bryant McDowell and the GM, Dillion. After our Tahoe died due to a factory recall, we were in a tough spot and needed a reliable vehicle fast. I specifically told Bryant I wanted the new version without the same recall issue. He told us they had two: a black one without 4-wheel drive and a white one with 4-wheel drive. I wasn't thrilled about the white one due to the interior color, but we trusted him and moved forward with the purchase. Once we got home, we found out the white vehicle also did not have 4-wheel drive--the very feature we were told we were getting. When my husband contacted GM Dillion, his idea of making it right was offering us floor mats and a detail. That's insulting considering the situation. This dealership took advantage of us during a stressful time. If the GM won't hold his team accountable for lying and misleading customers, that says everything you need to know. This time, their Service Department has had my truck for three days without providing a single update on a repair fully covered by the factory powertrain warranty. They won't answer phone calls, return voicemails, or offer a loaner vehicle so I can get to work. The lack of basic communication and customer support is unacceptable. My first bad experience was more serious: when I purchased my last truck here, they mishandled the registration paperwork and accidentally sent my plates and registration to someone else--and sent theirs to me. About a year later, I was wrongfully sued for $1 million over an accident my truck wasn't even involved in, because the registration mix-up and a false accident on my CARFAX report tied me to a vehicle I didn't own. When I later traded in the truck, they undervalued my vehicle. Only after legal proceedings did they refund me a vary small portion of the trade difference and nothing for the time I lost dealing with the lawsuit. I was wrong to trust El Dorado Chevrolet again. I definitely would not recommend taking your vehicle to Eldorado Chevrolet for repairs. I took my vehicle in to be repaired for an item that was covered per GM. It took Eldorado a week to just to diagnose my vehicle this was after me calling them a couple of times to check the status of my vehicle. Once they did diagnose my vehicle for the covered items. They also said that $2000 of additional repairs were needed on my vehicle. That didn't seem right so we declined having the additional repairs done. As soon as I picked up my vehicle I took it to another shop for a second opinion, this shop said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my Vehicle and it had no signs of any of the issues that Eldorado said my vehicle had. Be very careful if you take your vehicle to Eldorado Chevrolet for repairs, they may try and get you for repairs that you don't actually need on your vehicle. I have taken my vehicles to Eldorado Chevrolet for years , I was definitely disappointed in this experience and for sure will never be back!! read more

Worst Experience of my entire life, had an insanely pushy sales person who manipulates and takes advantage of people. (Adnan Adwali). Technicians and team seem to not do their work. I took my truck in to get lights re wired and they gave it back claiming that it was good but actually didn't do shit. Called them multiple times and would not bother to help me at all and won't even answer the phone most times. These people do not care about helping you, they just take advantage of you and once you made the sale you're fucked. There was SO MUCH hidden fees that were not discussed, they were not only hidden fees but BULLSHIT fees, one of my fees was a tire fee for $5000 claiming that all the tires were good in a road nicely, but that could not be farther from the truth. I made a down payment of $7000 on a MSRP of $25,000 and I've paid off my loan for six months and still owe $30,000. So many fees and bullshit it's insane. They don't care about customers. If you go there, take your time, get your way, and read everything, don't trust them. The only nice thing is a man named Dylan who works in the paperwork side of the company. Strike Three, You're Out The service department of this dealership has a lot of Yelp 1 star reviews and they're all true. I have had three bad experiences in a row with this dealership. 1. I took my truck here for its 1 year oil change and they underfilled the oil by nearly an entire quart. I didn't double check their work until I got home and found that the oil barely registered on the dip stick. Rather than drive 15 miles back to the dealer I just bought another quart and topped it off. STRIKE ONE 2. They send me an email to review the service I got and I told them this in the review. They emailed me to apologize and said they'll have the service advisor call me back to arrange a complimentary oil change for my next service as a way to correct their mistake. Well, I waited and waited and no one called me back or emailed me to arrange for the complimentary oil change. STRIKE TWO. 3. I bought a GM tonneau cover from their service department and it had a part that kept falling off. It was still under warranty so I went back to El Dorado to get a replacement part ordered. I waited over a month to get the part and followed up only to be told they won't order it as they didn't install the tonneau cover. Please tell me where on GM's web site (where I ordered the part) that there would be no warranty if they didn't install it. STRIKE THREE. I will never set foot in this dealership again and will tell all my family and friends so they avoid the place too. All the 1 star reviews are absolutely true. We were told the car we were actually buying was at a sister dealership and the salesman would pick it up the next day and deliver it to us. Then the next day we got a call from the salesman who said our car was sold to someone else but they would sell us one of their loaner cars for the same price. Basically a used car for new price cost. This was either incompetence, poor policies or we were lied to. Either way, if they can't get sales right then what about service or parts or collision. Had my first service on a 2025 Silverado RST. I had to take a day off work because I had to go with the only date and time on the online system because during 4 calls to the service department nobody answered. They changed the oil and rotated the tires but they never reset the tire pressures so the fronts were way high and the rears way low. Drove like a pig, dangerous on bumps! when I got home I fixed the tire pressures and noticed that every lug nut was damaged, rounded scored & misshapen. Contacted the service advisor told him the story, sent detailed pictures. The response from them was can you come on Monday and speak to our director "we don't think they are damaged". So I am a liar because I'm trying to scam them out of some lug nuts and I should take a day off work and drive 100 mile round trip for them to tell me I'm wrong. I was already approved via my bank, asked salesman if they could hold vehicle and I would even put down a payment to hold until we could get there on the weekend (we live over two hours away), he said he could not hold the vehicle, and of course it sold. I had taken my vehicle to El Dorado Chevrolet in Mckinney and their techs claimed that my car needed $7,800 in repairs. I went to an independent mechanic and they gave me a 2nd opinion and I ended up paying thousands less. I had a loose oil filter that was causing oil spillage. The chevy dealer did not even check my oil filter. Instead they presented me an estimate that included replacing the rear main seal, oil pan and valve cover gasket. The independent mechanic tightened my oil filter and now I have no more spillage. I had been a faithful customer of El Dorado Chevrolet for over 7 years and I will no longer be going back. I received a call on 04/15/25 from Phil the service manager and he proceeded to justify the conclusions of his "master tech". He to told me that it was "strange" what I was explaining to him. I realized that the service manager simply wanted to defend his mechanic. Over the years I have received "5 Star" service from my service advisor (Michael Mcdonald) and for this reason I was disapointed that their "master tech" did not inspect the oil filter and proceeded with a $7,800 estimate for my oil spillage. To make matters worse, they charged me $368 for the "inspection". I filed a compliant with the Texas Attorney General on 04/15/25. On another note, I emailed the owner with a copy of my AG compliant and I have not heard back from Stan Gaff, owner of El Dorado Chevrolet. I emailed him 2 days ago and have received no response. The MSRP $38,145 so with the Chevrolet $6300 rebate and the $500 Educator's discount the price Should have been $31,345. They charged $589 for window tinting, a little steep but okay. Total before fees and Taxes should be $31,943. But not, it at El Dorado motors. Been working in this deal for a month and no one said anything about a $2500 "market adjustment." The price was now $34,443. They claim that everyone does this but they don't. I drove to Classic Chevrolet on Grapevine and. I market adjustment. Ordered a 2023 for the same price without the extra $2500. Listen, I understand that some people get off on greed but at least be honest about your greed from the very beginning. Left it there so I could try to save up the 15 thousand and I was about $2000 from the goal when they told me I had to move the truck. So I moved the truck to an independent in Gainesville . Tell me why he had the engine tour part within 24 hours and repaired within two weeks on his spare time and only charged me 3020 $2500 for his time and he diagnosed what caused the failure and put a chip in there to fix that. I dropped off my 2020 Silverado for a problem with the Engine. I got a call back from Mike telling me that the aftermarket security system messed up the wiring and that that would have to be fixed before they could do the diagnostics. I approved it. The next day Mike called and said that the Onstar module was missing (It was removed when the vehicle was stolen so it couldn't be tracked) and would have to be replaced before the vehicle could be diagnosed. He also advised that the part was on back order and we couldn't have the part until December at the earliest. I asked if I could find the part elsewhere or a used Module if that would that work, Mike advised that would be fine. Mike provided me with the part number. When I was searching for the part I was advised that the part number was updated and that the one Mike gave me was outdated. I called Mike back and he confirmed that the part number was updated. I then asked Mike what the part number was at the time of production? Mike advised there was no way to find that information. I did a lot of research and was able to find what the Part number was at the time of production and asked Mike if he could confirm it, He advised he could not. I called Brandon in the parts department and in less than 2 minutes He was able to confirm the part number I was able to find was the part number at the time of production. I got in contact with Word Parts direct and they were able to do a search with other dealers and confirm that none were available for any of the part numbers and they would have to wait for back order. I was able to find a used Module for sale that had a matching part number for the date of production. I called Mike to advised that I had ordered the part and Mike then advised (two weeks later) that he could do an additional search of other parts dealers to see if he could find the part OEM. I'm not sure why he had to wait almost two weeks to tell me he could have done additional searches to fine the part and made me all the work. I dropped the used module off at 8:30 on Tuesday 28th and emailed him to confirm that he received the part. I called on Friday and spoke with Tim. He advised me that used parts can not be re-programed. I've now wasted time and money chasing parts that I shouldn't have if I had been correctly advised in the first place. Tim also says that the Tech is waiting to be authorized on if he can fix the wiring and remove the aftermarket alarm system. I advised to Mike the first week to fix the wiring and he didn't do it. I then emailed him repeatedly today asking him if I can just talk directly with the Technician working on the vehicle and he is just continuing to gaslight me by saying Its my fault and that I asked about aftermarket instead of used which I did not and refused to let me speak with the technician. I finally spoke to the manager David told him my problem and he let me speak with the technician and the vehicle was fixed and running the next week. The repair they did to the wiring was terrible and there were wires hanging down by the pedals. Mikes response was that's what they had to do to fix the wiring problems. The OBD 2 port still didn't work correctly. I Emailed the manager David again and he ignored my emails. I had a different technician look at the wiring and he said the person that did that job should be fired. The service advised Mike does not know how to do his job the manager doesn't care that his employees are terrible at their jobs and the Technicians do the absolute minimum and still charge the full price. If I could give this place a 0 I definitely would. I bought a 2024 XT5 in February of this year. After negotiating a price there were many fees added to the final paperwork. It was several thousand. One of the fees was called a reconditioning fee but the low tire light was on when I drove it and there is several places on the inside trim that would have been touched up if they had reconditioned anything. A couple weeks after I got home I noticed the front passenger door was hanging up a small amount on the front fender when opening and closing the door. I took it in to the Cadillac dealership to have the door adjusted which should have been covered under warranty since the car is still under full factory warranty. They told me the fender had had repair work done on it and wasn't fitted properly and would cost $1900 to fix. I was told the car didn't have any wreck issues when I bought it. When I called the dealership to talk to them about the issue the salesman immediate denied any knowledge of there being any damage. When I asked to speak to a manager he started laughing and speaking in Spanish to someone while I was holding and continued to laugh. When the supposed manager (it was still the same person I had just talked to) came on the line he put me on speaker phone. I explained what I was experiencing and he continued to deny any knowledge. This is a horrible dealership and it's very evident they don't care about you once they've got your money. When I checked the Better Business Bureau I see they have a D- rating. I made an appointment on my new 2024 Silverado with only 1000 miles on it. The problem is a concern about the transmission being very tightly coupled to the drive train. So much so that when I put it in gear it will squeal the tires if the brake is not firmly pressed. When I arrived at my appointment time I was informed that the appointment is just to meet with the service advisor and get the vehicle into their system. I would need to drop it off and It would be at least 2-3 days for a technician to look at the vehicle. This was maybe a 15 minute job for someone to check out and I needed to wait 2-3 days for it to be looked at. Very disappointing. I am currently shopping for another shop. read more
