I came upon this place last year after several unsatisfactory experiences at different audiology places. I am so happy to have found SoundPoint Hearing @3443 N. Campbell and the staff here. Naomi, Kim, & Martin are wonderful. This office is beautifully decorated with warm lighting and comfortable seating. It is exceptionally clean & quiet. The various hearing devices and supplies are neatly displayed. My mom and I were greeted by Kim at the front desk. She was friendly, professional, quick, and efficient, getting us checked in & checked out quickly. We were greeted and assisted by Naomi Hedrick, Hearing Instrument Specialist who assisted my mom last year and remembered us. Naomi spoke with us about my mom's hearing, asked if we had any concerns, answered all questions, and conducted the hearing tests. She is kind, friendly, knowledgeable, professional, caring, easy to deal with, empathetic, and she truly cares about helping people. She has the calmest, most comforting demeanor. She made my mom feel totally at ease. We never felt pressured to make a purchase. She presented us with some reasonably priced options and my mom was able to leave with a hearing aid that was within her budget and much better than her previous pair. It is evident that Naomi truly loves her job and helping people. Naomi provided one on one VIP customer service. We never felt rushed or pressured in any way. After two weeks, we returned for a scheduled follow-up. Same great service! Naomi asked my mom how the hearing aids were working, if they were comfortable, and if she had any concerns. She checked & cleaned the hearing aids, and changed the filters. We chatted for a little bit, checked out, and were on our way. I am so impressed with the consistently great customer service here and I am so touched by the care they've shown to my 88 year old mom. Thank you Naomi & Kim! Highly recommend!

I found Soundpoint Hearing Center over 15 years ago and have been happy with my experiences there…read moreever since. I have a traumatic brain injury that impacts and complicates my hearing issues. The audiologists and providers at Soundpoint have always gone out of their way to help me. They have consistently found hearing aids that work for me and then helped me learn how to get the most out of my aids. I hadn't received that kind of care from other audiology practices and was frustrated; I had almost given up looking for someone who could help me with my hearing loss. My long time Soundpoint audiologist retired last year. Cynthia helped me immensely, and I'll miss her. However, I was delighted to find out that "Hearing Instrument Specialist" Martin Verdugo had taken over my case. The yearly hearing test is never something anyone with hearing loss looks forward to. Martin started doing my hearing tests several years ago and I found him to be thorough, detailed oriented, and a good listener. He's very responsive to his clients needs and concerns. I am very happy that he will be there to help me with my hearing needs. This is the fourth pair of Starkey aids that I've worn, and they are the best yet. They utilize a cutting edge technology that updates regularly and they allow me to make changes to them when I am in different environments. No, they are not cheap, but I have a severe hearing loss and aids meant for a moderate loss do not help anymore. My Starkey aids help me to hear in many situations that I couldn't before, and that makes these aids worth the price. My hearing aids are comfortable to wear, and that is also important to me. The price of the aids includes follow up visits as needed and free cleaning. The follow up appointments are important to get the most out of any hearing aids. I can whole-heartedly recommend the Soundpoint Hearing Center on Campbell Ave in Tucson. Hearing aids are not like glasses: they do not correct your hearing back to the equivalent of 20/20 and any aids will be challenged in a noisy environment. A person has to wear their hearing aids regularly, so their brain can adjust to the new input. Wearing hearing aids that help you to hear better has been shown to reduce your chances of getting dementia.

I checked the area for audiologists covered by my insurance and found Dr Jill. She got me in right away and was able to order one aid using my 2025 benefit and two weeks later ordered the other aid using my 2026 benefit. This saved me nearly $2000.00. Not only that, but when I saw her yesterday to take delivery she gave me another tone test and discovered a large deposit of dirty dried wax against my right eardrum (no wonder my right aid was squealing on and off). Rather than sending me to an ENT clinic as past audiologists have done, she removed the wax. I am most delighted to have found Clarity Hearing Aid Center and Dr Jill. She was very pushy and rude only focusing on making a sale even before performing the hearing test. She never took the time to explain a warranty or other benefits I was entitled to. When questioned why she was attempting to sell me the hearing aids before the test, she told me that she had taken the time to do another patients hearing test first, then they never bought them. Her aggressive personality was very rattling and disturbing. I'm not the kind of person who gets pushed around but she really did a job on me. When I asked about hearing aids made in Germany, I hadn't seen them listed on the laminated sheet that she was offering to sell, she pulled a random pair out of the drawer and offered to sell them to me as long as I wasn't inputted into her computer yet because she was contractility obligated not to do so with United Healthcare. (She actually did tell me that) She acted desperate to make a sale. She was attempting to make a side deal with a pair that she no longer sold or offer any kind of warranty. Talk about dishonest. Everything was so disorganized and disturbing. I ended up giving her my credit card number to pay for the pair I was buying, made a follow-up appt and returned 2 weeks later. Upon arriving 1/2 hour early for my follow-up appt, she was again behind and blaming her patients for being late. She was unable to find me in the computer and acted frantic! Brought me into her office where she found the paperwork from my 1st appt behind the computer on her desk and the hearing aids were never ordered. I had several appts and errands to go to and since she was already 1 1/2 hours behind, I told her that we would reschedule for a later time. I repeatedly told her this and each time she insisted that I stay (my husband also had an appt for a hearing test). I finally told her "When you get your act together, call me for a follow-up appt). She wasn't happy but I was determined that she wasn't going to continue showing disrespect and act as though my time didn't matter. When I got out to my car, I went through my checking account for any charges she had made for the hearing aid. She hadn't charged my account yet so I called her from the parking lot. When she answered (her lady at the desk had called in sick and we were told she wasn't doing a very good job anyway) and I told her not to order the hearing aids. She informed me that she was doing that at that very minute and I told her that if she put the charge through my bank that I would reject the charge. We never went back. "

Be very careful if you use this clinic, as their billing/insurance practices are VERY suspicious…read moreand warrant review. After obtaining a medical hearing exam from a physician showing that I need hearing aids, I contacted Sonoran ENT for an appointment to discuss purchasing the devices from them, as they are a "preferred" provider for my insurance company and my insurance would cover $5000 in cost for the aids with no "out of pocket" to me. Sonoran ENT office staff informed me at the time I made my appointment that they would charge me $100 for my appointment, but that amount would be credited to the cost of the hearing aids when I purchased them. My appointment with the audiologist consisted of her showing me a brochure with her recommended choices and the costs of those options (all in excess of $4,000). When I told her that my insurance would pay up to $5,000 towards the cost, she warned me that often they (Sonoran ENT) are only paid $3,100 by insurance companies, and since that amount does not cover the entire cost of the hearing aids, the customer must sign a document at the time of ordering stating that they will pay the balance. I left the clinic and immediately contacted my insurance company and verified with them that my benefits would cover the cost of the hearing aids up to $5,000. The insurance representative called Sonoran ENT and spoke to the office manager to assure her that my policy would pay for hearing aids costing up to $5,000. The office manager informed the insurance representative that they (Sonoran ENT) are only willing to invoice my insurance for $3,100, and if I want to buy the hearing aids, I need to sign the document promising to pay the balance out of pocket (which in this case would be a minimum of about $1,400). The office manager stated that if I am not willing to do that, then I should not buy my hearing aids from them. What I learned is that it is not my insurance company putting the lower benefit amount on my purchase. It is Sonoran ENT manipulating the process to benefit their bottom line. Also, I paid $100 to Sonoran ENT to be shown a brochure and to be told: "Sorry, we will only take part of what your insurance will pay for hearing aids, and you have to pay us the balance." Make sure you ask questions up front about their billing practices. I feel completely cheated out of $100. I did immediately contact another clinic in town who was more than happy to contact my insurance provider to verify the $5000 coverage amount and to fit and sell me a pair of hearing aids that are priced within that benefit amount and will be paid 100% through my policy. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! There is something fishy with the insurance billing process being conducted by Sonoran ENT.
