Second time I have been here the first time I ordered the mole enchiladas and they did not have them this time they did. The chips they give you are not the best each time they were a little stale. Their mild salsa they give you was okay I wish it had some more depth or heat to it. The enchiladas some packed with chicken and the mole was rich and flavorful. The sides are forgetful I am not a fan of refried beans to begin with I wish they had healthy alternatives like black beans or something. I ordered the posole with blue corn tortillas. I thought the posole was a little light on the hominy and the pork came in big chunks. I like my pork a little more easier to handle then dropping a big chunk and roja splashing all over. The blue corn tortillas were made fresh. They were good. The service was a 5. Chips and salsa are chips and salsa. Posole garnished with cabbage, red onions, and lime. It tasted good. I will give this place another visit to try something else next time. read more

Two stars for the friendly, albeit understaffed, service. The food is flavorless. I'm guessing it's catered to the Green Bay demographic of vanilla Midwesterners. I ordered a burrito. The contents were cold and the rice was, I suspect, Goya. The tortillas are homemade. Which is lost on the lack of seasoning and care put into the remainder of the ingredients. Our server was very sweet. She had many tables and was only getting busier as we dined. I did see folks cleaning in the kitchen and the dining area is clean. All really great things to observe. Being this is a restaurant review, I think the focus should be on the lack of flavor and heat present in the food. They work hard to prepare scratch made items but fall very short by under seasoning things. Was excited to have found a authentic Mexican restaurant like the ones on the south side of Milwaukee, didn't look at the menu ordered a side of guacamole it was very smooth with a little tomato cilantro and onion taste like Sysco packaged, ordered pulled beef chimichanga looked odd? Used my fork but it was to tough to get through beef way over cooked and no cheese tasted like a whole-wheat tortilla very dry. Asked server if they put cheese in there chimichangas she said yes we do. I said look mine had none she laughed told her tortilla was not good she laughed again and said sorry, very nice girl but horrible experience. I will never go there again. This place is delicious!! Finally got to try this new restaurant after eyeing it up for a while. Partner and I came around 7pm on a Saturday night. Place was clean, parking was plenty, and it smelled amazing. The staff were all very kind. They had a taco special that night you could order two with a side of rice and beans for $8 which is what I got and what's pictured (got one steak and one chicken taco, Mexican style, one on corn tortilla and one on blue corn) and my partner got their fried chicken (he asked for a substitute side and they were able to do so no problem). Chips and salsa were free and delicious (clearly homemade and chips hot). We waited maybe 15 mins from the time our order was placed to when we received our food. I was happily surprised by how big and filled their tacos are. All the tortillas are obviously homemade and I could have eaten them just by themselves, that's how good. The beans were the best I've ever had maybe. Not sure if it's always, but there's a window looking into the kitchen which you can sit by and I noticed it was a kitchen fully run by women - I love that. Only small downside is that they only serve beer for alcoholic drinks so no margaritas which was a bummer. read more

Very good food and drinks. Missing one star for speed and logistical smoothness. Steak and chicken were very flavorful. Enchilada piping hot. Real gooey cheese melted. Isn't this what we all hope for in Mexican food?!? Dining room is sparkling clean. Order carefully. Specify you want your beans and rice hot, as the final cheese melting heat doesn't warm them past tepid. Returning the food to be heated was a long delay and my co-diner was done by the time my food came out. The sauces were good, plus they served additional table salsas. The pineapple and mango waters (not on menu) were very good. We saw a big lemon shakeup go by that looked wonderful but we were warned it took a long time to make and we could tell there was only one woman working the entire front of house so that is not advised unless you have time. They also have a nice selection of Jaritos and tall glass bottle Pepsi etc. read more

Where to start. No tortillas with my fajitas or cheese for them. The 3 tacos came without cheese but with sour cream when we asked for no sour cream. They also came all squished together so you couldn't eat without a fork. The chimi was supposed to come with no beans and extra cheese that I paid for... it came with beans. To say it was disappointing is putting it mildly. This was THE WORST Chimichanga I've ever had. I got the beef, and the meat was chewy and full of gristle. I expect beef to have some gristle, but this was bad. It had zero flavor, except for the taste of rancid oil. Beans were watery and flavorless. Delivery lady was unpleasant. Preparing from scratch only works if you use decent quality ingredients and seasonings. You couldn't pay me to eat this food again. read more
