I called Roseville and said I needed a taxi to the Airport and my flight is at 1pm (by this time I called it was 930am) he said "I'm leaving right now, meet me at the gate and i'll get you there in time." Sure enough I got to the gate and he was waiting for me and got me to the airport just in time. Nope you basically follow the El Dorado Trail and see people's backyard with the Gran Finale being the Walmart auto service center. Doesn't sound like much, I know. But believe me when I say its quite the memorable ride! Plus the smile on your kid as he waves at the people walking along side the trail makes it worth a thousandfold its price. The trains are loud, old, original, and bumpy! This is what we paid for! A chance to relive the good ole days when our ancestors had it worse than us and had to endure long rides on a bumpy cold train. It sure made me appreciate my heated seats! The staff consists of passionate volunteers who dedicate their entire Sunday morning (perhaps even more,) to keep the train rides running safe and efficient. You're greeted with nothing but smiles and approachable folks eager to share their knowledge of the El Dorado Western Railroad! Ps. This was their first time re-opening after Covid-19. From what I heard they're trying to work their way up to travel further and fuller! Stay-tuned!
