Great atmosphere and prices, but too much cheddar cheese on our burritos and enchiladas. Never seen that before at a Mexican restaurant!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. Great service, friendly people, and a fun place to be!

El Erradero was a great Mexican restaurant, looks like a local favorite as the restaurant was mostly full at 6pm on a Monday. Our food was great - we recommend the shrimp/scallops and rice and the arroz con pollo. The food was tasty, servings were large, and the service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and our drinks were refilled often. If I'm in town again, I would definitely eat here. 5 stars! read more

BE WARNED, if you are paying by credit card or debit, they will go ahead and take it upon themselves to write in their OWN TIP even though you already left one. For a $30 meal they went ahead and changed the tip from 30% (which they didn't deserve in the first place) to 6 dollars when you check your account a few days later. So if you leave a more than fair and gracious tip for their sub par service because you are a decent human being, they will decide that hey that isn't good enough let's go ahead and give ourselves a 40% tip or more. Ridiculous. After they pulled that I decided I won't go back. Before that, the customer service had really gone down hill. The food is only okay because this is really the only Mexican restaurant that is in the area. The food is really over salted and honestly the only decent thing to eat was the chips & salsa. You wait a long time just to get your order taken, you have to get up and track someone down to get silverware AND order your drinks because they didn't bother to ask you before they rushed off with your order. You are ignored by the waitresses. Repeatedly, at the end of the meal the waitress just drops off the check without checking to see if anyone else wanted desert or anything else. You will literally say, "excuse me can I order..." but they just walk away even though you are speaking clearly. At that point you just figure I don't want anything else anyway because they didn't bother to ask, nor care so you just want to pay and get out of there. And forget about ordering to go, if the phone line isn't busy and disconnects and you actually can get through to place your order, you will notice that they really decrease your portions when ordering take-out. They're untrustworthy, their service is terrible, the waitresses are rude, they change your tip, and they don't care about the customers. You're better off making your own food at home. At least you won't get screwed over. read more

Love going here food is so good but i hate the service. Everytime i go in i have to wait forever or go hunt a waitress down just to get anything like extras or for the ticket and a to go box for some examples but the food seems to be making up for it cause its always good and sooo much food i always take it home. The service and ambiance are good. They gave us more chips and salsa that we didn't need or ask for. I made the mistake of ordering the mole enchiladas. The mole sauce was way too sweet-tasted like peanut butter and chocolate syrup. The waitress said there was chocolate and peanut butter in the sauce. There was no mole-ness or smokiness to the sauce and it tasted terrible. The waitress offered to get me something else, but the taste in my mouth was ruined(I was also full fromchips). I reread the menu and it says "sweet and spicy" for the mole sauce, but it was disgustingly sweet and not spicy at all. Our shrimp salad looked good in the menu picture and description but the dressing and salad had no flavor. Same with the enchilada sauce, tasted like Campbell's tomato soup. If you want Mexican with flavor pass on this restaurant. If you like Americanized Mexican, you will like this place. PS we tried to go to the Delicioso Mexican place first, but doors were locked at 6:50 on a Saturday night. read more

Boom hot salsa! Or ask for green for even hotter salsa. Only thing is no pork but still a great place.

Some of the best tasting Mexican food I've had in a long time. My boyfriend and I shared a small plate of nachos (shredded chicken) - very tasty! I chose the chicken taquitos rancheros (I would give these 5 stars). They were cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious. I absolutely love the food here, I eat here at least once a week and Conchita is a wonderful hostess but sometimes the service, after you receive your food is iffy. Even when business is slow you yourself might have to go find someone for napkins, salsa or a refill. If not for the hit and miss service it would be "5" stars for me. read more

We would have given 4.5 stars but we couldn't figure out how. We would This place was an oasis of beautiful artwork and a delightful ambiance. "It filled our cross country runner tummies"- Kat Bushman, sophomore at Hanford high school. When we entered the restaurant we were a pack of ravenous beasts(literally!). But when we left our bellies were full, our minds calm, and we felt a renewed determination for the journey ahead. The food was comfortingly delicious. The chips were crisp, warm, and never ending. The salsa was spicy, robust, and bright. The first level of taste in the salsa was the delicate sweetness, the second level was the burning in the back of your throat, finishing off with a warm and toasty feeling of satisfaction. The enchiladas came piping hot. The cheese bubbled and crackled, coaxing us in. The beans and rice complimented each other in a symphony of flavor. The rice was well balanced in regards to saltiness, tomatoness, and riceyness. The quesadilla was describingly good. When it was first placed on the table, Kat's eyes glowed, reflecting the warm circular disc that had been placed before her. As she sunk her enormous canines into the flesh of the quesadilla, she was immediately greeted with an explosion of shredded beef, cheese, tomato, and onion. It was reported that she "wished she didn't get full so fast, because then she would just keep eating." Upon entering, we were immediately met by warm and gracious hosts. We were treated with compassion and humor. Our water glasses were never dry, and our chips bottomless. Just dreadful, meeting just minimum expectations. The food was cold and over-salted, but otherwise not well-seasoned. I asked the server to just please stick my plate in a microwave to get it hot. She said, "No! The chef won't do that. She uses a convection oven." She took my plate away, brought it back a few minutes later. It was still cold. No part of this is acceptable. Good Mexican food; fantastic and fast service!

We had a wonderful meal at El Erradero tonight. The food was great and the service and atmosphere were both wonderful. The owner, Hector came over and talked with us to make sure that everything was ok and stayed for an extended conversation. We will definitely stop here again when in the area. read more
