I love this place. Gotta start with empanadas and jalapeño ranch. Finish off with some paella or Arroz Con Pollo. Never misses.

We generally enjoyed this small Latin bistro. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and their prices were on the high end of reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quite small, just a row of tables straight back from the front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was looking forward to some good paella, so I ordered the Valencia small size ($20). It was served in a small sizzling skillet, which was harder to manage than a bowl. First of all, the skillet was steaming hot, and was more difficult to eat. It was literally dangerous touching the skillet's rim, which could burn your hand. My first disappointment was that they didn't seem to use yellow Spanish rice, which I consider integral to the dish. I used to make this, and it was a somewhat long process, letting all the ingredients simmer in the pan to ensure the flavor permeated all ingredients. This was served with mussels, shrimp, scallops, and calamari. I opted to have it without the calamari. It was also served without a knife. As some of the mussels were closed, it made them difficult to open without a knife. When I asked for a knife, I was able to wrestle the mussels open, but found that they, along with the shrimp and scallops, had no flavor or taste. Evidently, since it was fast-cooked in the skillet, none of the seasonings flavored the seafood. There was a lime stuck in the middle of the sizzling skillet, which was too hot to squeeze. Also, serving it this way left you to scrape the rice off of the skillet sides. The dish was acceptable, but definitely a far cry from the Spanish or Cuban Paella I love. For that, I will always go to Bulla in Legacy, which is also less expensive. My husband thought he was ordering a Cuban sandwich, and even pointed to it in the menu when ordering. It was the ropa vieja Cuban sandwich. Instead, what he received cost a few dollars more, and was a bowl of hot ropa vieja, along with rice and beans. He said it was good. The dessert of cinnamon sticks in whipped cream atop ice cream was also good, although not outstanding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The single women's restroom was acceptable; although it was unique in being the only eatery anywhere in this area without a purse hook, which made it slightly inconvenient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Although a nice mom and pop small local storefront, we are unlikely to return. read more

The service here My goodness I can't talk about the service enough. I felt at home here and so did my daughter. The way this place catered to the kids in our party made me smile. I came here with my family and another family. As soon as we all walked in, the server greeted our little ones as if they made the reservation. Ivan deserves so much praise. The food is also amazing. Everyone enjoyed the food! If you come, you have to get the empanadas! I really enjoyed the empanadas here, especially with the sauce. I absolutely loved my paella. I got the paella Del Mar with seafood, and really enjoyed the mussels. My man ordered the chicken and rice, and said it was tasty. The kid menu is cheap, and comes with a great amount of food. Only found out about this place because my parents went here for father's day, was a bit out of the way for me but was a nice surprise seeing Latin food instead of Mexican in texas. The staff was quicknto recieve us and take our orders and my mom liked having someone to talk Spanish to while ordering. The ended up having the paella while I had the arroz con Pollo. Both were tasty and different from how I'm used to at home but in a good way, prices were affordable while the portions made sure you were full by the end of your meal. I'll be back in the future solo, so as to try additional menu items and I hope they live up to my first experience here, keep up the good work. read more

This place is a hidden gem. I recommend the Paella Valenciana. Note: I am allergic to shellfish, so I asked them to prepare it without shrimp, and it was great, (and a big portion). My wife got Ropa Vieja, a Cuban classic, which also was delicious. We finished with a Blueberry Cheesecake. It was the perfect slice--not too sweet and very tasty. Extremely disappointed with today's experience. Went there for weekend dinner and called in ahead and were seated promptly. We were given the complimentary Chips and Salsa, my SO thought something was off initially with chips but I thought they were ok! Order Paella Con Vegetables and Paella Valenciana. My SO asked Jalapeno added to her Paella, but they mentioned it will be Sereno as they do not have Jalapeno. Food arrived, wait staff got confused and gave my wife the one with meat. We had to ask them twice to make sure and switch them. Quantity is definitely less compared to last few times( Must be Shrinkflation) Veg Paella was missing the Sereno as we agreed, we asked for them again and by the time we got them her dinner was almost over. Great family run business with a great mix of Spanish, Cuban, and other Latin American inspired dishes. Always a nice departure from the Tex-Mex market in DFW. I really enjoyed the few times I've visited this establishment. Food overall is good and the menu is diverse, containing more Latin entrees like paella and cubanos. Service was also fast and very friendly. There is complementary chips and salsa and I particularly enjoyed the chunky salsa. Food portions are pretty big and many dishes could feed 2 people if you're not too hungry. My favorite items were the arroz con pollo and paella. Both were similar, coming out in a small cast iron pan but with different preparations. My favorite part was honestly the rice which was very flavorful. I only wish that there was a little more char and crunch like in traditional paella but I was very satisfied with everything. Came out to check out my local toy store, Jayden's Toys, but was a bit early. So I rode over after finding this place on Yelp. This place was amazing. The food was great and the service was excellent. I had the Cuba sandwich which was good and the rice and beans were great. I had the maduros which were also good. It's a small place which adds to the welcoming spirit of the staff. The food came out quick. You can tell it's a good spot when regulars are coming in and the staff treats them like family. Our Texas Rovers club meets at EB Latin Bistro regularly to discuss business. We find this location extremely convenient as members are in the Dallas area and their close proximity to the tollway makes it easy for me too. I've had a few items here in the past and their seafood paella (del mar) is the highlight. I definitely enjoyed the variety of shrimp, calamari, cod fish, sea scallops, mussels in a cast iron pan. The table gets complimentary chips and salsa which are bottomless. Those fresh chips get refilled without question when we run out. I've had the ensalda con pollo as well which is a healthier option if you're looking for something lighter. Finish off the meal with a cortadito, popular with the Cubans as it's an espresso with a little bit of steamed milk on top. Credit cards and split checks are no problem. read more

First of all friendly maitre'd who we later found out was the owner, John was welcoming and so nice as we came in. Charming cozy atmosphere. Server was excellent as well, but John was so friendly. I've had this on my list for a while, and considering I don't live nearby it, I was in the area this particular day and finally got to try it. It's definitely an exceptional meal. I ordered my food to go, since I couldn't linger too long in the area. The staff here is fairly nice and attentive, without being overly hospitable or talkative. He assured me several times that I could have water These maduros may have been close to some of the best I've seen in the DFW area. Soft, caramelized, and a lovely char to the exterior. The rice and beans are normally something I don't get excited about but these were actually really good! The chips and salsa were standard, with the chips being slightly above average in flavor and texture. Their cubano was super well balanced. I was able to taste everything evenly yet separately. Finally posting reviews after the 2nd visit. It was better at last! A little sketchy plaza area, however, once you enter this restaurant, you would know you are in the right place. 1. Service 4.5/5 Fast and smooth service. Food comes out fairly quick and staffs are pretty easy going. Complementary chips and salsa until we decide on what to eat. Reasonable price as well. Paella del Mar for 2, 1 order of paella de Valencia, and the mango salad were enough for 4 hungry girls and we paid less then $20 per person including tax/good tips. 2. Food 4.5/5 I like the paella del Mar the best. Colorful and beautiful presentation. It comes a little bland (which I prefer) with natural ingredients, which taste perfect with the salsa we get provided. I liked the grilled mango salad as well. Hidden gem with a Cuban and Asian twist. Very interesting menu with lots of variety. Upon entering there was a tinge of an odor but maybe mildew of some sort. The owners were incredible sweet and accommodating. We ordered the empanadas and the queso, very tasty! The owner was very attentive and friendly- we enjoyed that. My paella was inexpensive but not a large serving. The chicken did not have a lot of meat, but my friends ribeye was definitely something to write home about- it was delicious and juicy.
