Burnt fish. Separated the pieces that weren't fried.
    Benny Jann P.

I cannot even fathom how this left the kitchen. I can't even imagine how they thought this extremely burnt fish was usable in a taco. Let's just take a gander and appreciate the "what the f*ck"

The taco was good, but the dipping broth was way too greasy.

I've been trying some of the 24 hour Mexican drive-through's in the area. This one was not as successful. The service was quick, and the person at the window was friendly. I had the quesaBirria taco, and an order of chorizo fries. I also had an Horchata to drink. The Horchata was very good. Had a lot of good flavor to it, and was not watery at all. The chorizo fries were tasty, I did like the chorizo, but The serving was smaller than I've gotten at other drive-throughs in the area. Also, the fries were a bit soggy. The taco was the least successful. The taco itself was OK, and the meat was tender. But the broth that you dip it in? extremely greasy. A good Birria broth is like a consommé that you can drink. Just dipping the taco made the taco very greasy, and I couldn't drink the broth at all. Overall, prices were on par with some of the other Mexican drive-throughs I've been to. I'll stick with the places. I usually go to. Thanks anyway.

Too expensive! $20 for a combo w 2 tacos and rice and beans? Not even a drink!!That's why your mom is always saying "hay comida en la casa" Go to Olive Garden instead and treat yoself, they got the same wild prices and more ambience lol

Came here for lunch yesterday & was super excited to try some of their menu options. I see a lot of El Forasteros around town but just never had the opportunity to stop. One of my favorite things too about this location, is their drive-thru location. It makes the service quick & convince which I love. Looking at the menu, I was glad to see they had so much variety. From their combination meals, tacos, burritos, nachos, & desserts. I almost got a burrito but Im a big fan of birria so I decided to get 2 birria tacos & a magonada. It didn't take long at all for the food & the staff was very polite and friendly in the process. Also, love the extra sides that were added to my order w/ the salsa ( green, red) + limes. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Quesadilla with yellow cheese and store bought tortillas . They hated us cause we are Chicanos ..

Me dieron una quesadilla con queso Americano y tortia de la harina dura, esta comida valen puro vergelitos No gasten silu dinero Chicanos are hated here...

My go-to spot! Always friendly, always fast and yummy. While I probably go through the drive thru late night 3x a month, sometimes I'll pop in too. Great churros!

I love this place. I always get the same thing and it never disappoints. Everyone is super nice too!

I was super surprised about this place, late night meal while I travel. I've had Mexican food in SF once before and was disgusted by what they called Mexican food and was pretty scared to even try it again up in NorCal. I'm from socal and also 20 mins away from Mexico and been to Mexico a bunch and I have access to some of the best taco shops and Mexican food so with this said this is def the closest taco shop to being like San Diego. I highly recommend this place if u want a taste of Mexico, it's not the best but it's the best up here, that's y the 4 stars and not 5.

First time trying this location. Needless to say it was just what I hoped for. It's just like the other locations. Clean, good service, good food and large portions.

    Do they have black beans?

Yes, I believe black beans are an option

I'm vegan and was wondering if their beans, tortillas, rice, and guacamole had any animal products (such as lard, sour cream, etc.)? Or are there any other vegan options?

Hello their refried beans do contain lard but they also have whole beans which are vegan friendly as well as their rice and guacamole tortillas are vegan friendly as well hope I answered your question as I'm vegan also I already asked my self

This is the first time I've been to a restaurant that served complimentary chicharrones de harina. Chicharrones de harina are a Mexican snack that are made from fried wheat flour. Plus, we've also been here plenty of times and love it already. We were really bummed to find out that you get charged for chips and salsa and they don't come out automatically without asking and it also the charge is dependent on how many people are in your party. Also, when the chips came out, there was only one salsa, which hasn't usually been the case. We're not sure if this was just some modifications because of dine downtown happening, but it was a bummer. We ordered the taquitos for an appetizer and those were OK..nothing special. I ordered the pozole verde with chicken, which is my favorite! And my best friend ordered the Carnitas plate. My posole was really good. It came with the side of the status and all the toppings. However, the Carnitas lacked flavor and were a bit dry. Neither of us would probably order that again. We also ordered a couple of blended mockaritas, one strawberry and one mango and both were tasty, but the strawberry would definitely needed another blend as there were a big chunks of ice. I think that because of the craziness with dine downtown..service and food quality we're a bit lacking, but I will always come back to Mayahuel for the pozole verde !

I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food!
