My wife and I saw this place a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try, based on the large crowds we've seen when we pass by. Great parking, and the atmosphere was typical for this type of economy meal. The restaurant had was notably neat and clean. On the whole, better than average food - hot and fresh. A bit bland; more seasoning would have been a plus. The chips were fresh, the salsa was thick and mildly hot. I drive through this shopping center most of the time and was finally able to make a visit. Due to the icy snow, parking was limited in front and on the side of the corner lot but manageable. There's also additional parking on the strip mall side in front of Home Depot. As you walked in, there's a gorgeous bar on the right side and dining area throughout the restaurant. The menu has a big and variety of selections, I ordered 6 items: 1) Shrimp Empanadas 2) Lengua Taco 3) Chicken Taco 4) Pork and Chorizo Taco 5) Quesadilla Fajita 6) Xango. At each table, you are served with complimentary chips, salsa and a white sweet sauce. You can tell the chips were fresh, the salsa was a little thick with a hint of heat, just the way I like it. The white sauce, a little too sweet for me but if you combine them together.. perfect. When the quesadilla fajita arrive to the table, it was perfectly pan seared, the first bite was amazing. The chicken was very tender and it was accompanied by shredded lettuce, sour cream, cilantro and diced tomatoes. I wasn't expecting the size of those shrimp empanadas to be that big but okay, let's do this. They were nice and crispy on the outer layer but unfortunately the stuffing was supposed to be shrimp but I didn't taste anything because it was bland. It was served with white queso but even adding the queso, there wasn't much difference in flavor. When I order their tacos which you can also mix match so I ordered 3 different proteins 1) chicken 2) lengua (beef tongue) and 3 pork and chorizo with pineapple. When the dish arrived to the table, I was disappointed of how it was represented. All three tacos were stacked on top of each other as the proteins were falling out, the plate was too small and served with a ramekin of hot salsa and a mixture of diced onions, cilantro, lime wedge in another ramekin. The lengua and chicken were both so so tender like melt in your mouth. Wow!! Unfortunately the pork and chorizo with pineapple was unique but I wasn't able to pick it up like you normally would on a taco. Since it was on the very bottom, the flour tortilla got very mushy and I had no choice then to use a fork and knife. The flavor was different and it was okay. For dessert, I try their Xango which is a flour tortilla stuffed with a banana flavored cheesecake, coated with sugar and cinnamon, served with vanilla ice cream, and topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and sprinkles. With all the components, this dessert was bland. There wasn't any hint of banana flavored in that cheesecake filling, and the only thing was good was the ice cream with chocolate drizzle. The restaurant was clean and had some decor throughout the dining area. My server Katherin was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Though a few dishes weren't up to par, I would still make another visit to try other items on their menu. read more

This place is fairly new. I believe a little less than a year. I like the ambiance a lot here. I have not been here when it has been very crowded. They have a nice booth area by the windows and a table seating area in the middle area. There are a few TVs around the restaurant that play sports games. There's a nice bar area on the right side when you first walk in. The servers are very nice. I believe it is family owned. Everybody does seem like they are there to help each other to make your experience pleasant. The food is good. You receive a fair amount of food for the pricing. My favorite is the fajitas texanas because it includes chicken, meat, and shrimp, as well as vegetables (peppers and onions). It is served with Spanish rice, choice of whole or refried beans, lettuce, sour cream and tortillas. It's filling and will likely fill you up. As a starter, I ordered a guacamole. It was very underwhelming. I expected more and even the dry cheese on top but it is what it is. The burrito and taco is from the kid's menu. It has pulled chicken inside the taco but you can get a different filling. It gets soggy relatively quickly though and kids don't usually eat fast (or at least mine don't). It is tasty. The burrito is simple and fine. It's a very decent amount for a kid. The Mexican cheeseburger & French fries is what you may expect at most places for a kid to eat. I wasn't able to figure out why they call it a Mexican cheeseburger though. I've had their quesadilla before (months back) and it was overly cheesy but it was a nice large size. I will definitely return here and I'm hoping to try their drinks from the bar soon during their happy hour times. read more

We came here on Mother's Day with a larger group and had a great time! We got there before the crowd and were able to get a table on the covered patio. The menu is very large and sure to please different tastes. Our group tried several items including the arroz con pollo, quesadilla, ceviche, chori-pollo, chile relleno, and even the chef salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Their drinks are great too. The service was a little slower since we were outside but we didn't have issues getting what we needed. read more

Friday evening and this place is jumping! They got use seated quickly and a server had chips and salsa at the table in the blink of an eye. Within a couple minutes our waiter arrived and took our drink orders and was back in a flash with drinks and to take our order. THE FOOD CAME OUT FAST, Real Fast for a busy Friday night. I ordered the quesadillas fajita and beef tacos and my wife ordered chimichanga loca. The food was good, it was hot and again, it arrived quickly. Quick review on last visit @4PM Saturday when we were only table filled: 1) Pricing is somewhat high for dishes (no sides included) 2) Service is lacking and items were not brought out 3) Food was cold. Server brought dish back 2 minutes later; One could tell it was microwaved (slight skin from sauce) and more sauce was poured over. Based on this experience, I would not come back. Havent had this problem with the Stafford location. read more

This is one of our go to lunch spots. Cheaper than El Pino but just as good. Never waited longer than 10 minutes for a table. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. I completed a takeout order. The service I received from the front door was excellent. I was greeted by the receptionist, she offered me a table and had the menu ready. My orders were ready, it was hot, and they supplied extra chips and salsa. Everything was packaged well. When I got home and was able to eat the food, everything was delicious. I recommend going in ordering again. I plan to go back and have a dinning in experience soon. read more

This has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Fredericksburg area amd we have been to several. The food is always good no matter what we order but today I had the seafood fajitas and my other half had areoz con pollo - both were excellent - frankly best we've ever had. Service is always prompt amd friendly. Prices are very reasonable but like most restaurants they get you on drinks amd they do push them for a reason. I was not happy with my service from this establishment. When I arrived the restaurant was about half full. I came in with my grandson and we sat down. We waited about eight minutes for our server to write down our drinks. Immediately I realized we had not been given menus. Our drinks came out pretty quick and then our server disappeared. We had no menus so we sat and chatted for about half an hour until we had to borrow menus from another table since we couldn't get the server's attention. Our waiter finally came out and wrote down our order. The wait for the food wasn't terrible but it wasn't quick by any means. I ordered the beef tacos and my grandson ordered the chicken strips. The beef tacos were not very good. The beef was dry and there was way too much cheese for my liking. My grandson complained about the super tiny two piece chicken strips. There also was French fries with the chicken tender meal. The French fries were soft and very plain tasting. The chicken tenders were the smallest I've ever seen and after he ate he still complained of being hungry especially since about halfway through our meal , the waiters took our food when we went to the bathroom without our permission. Overall the restaurant did seem clean but the food was nothing special. read more
