One thing I loved was the "Feed Me Tacos & Tequila" sign on the wall--it makes for a fun photo opportunity and fits the vibe of the restaurant perfectly. However, the tree branches partially block the sign, making it difficult to get a good picture. It would be great if they either lowered the sign or trimmed the branches so guests could fully enjoy it as a photo spot. Unfortunately, the cocktail was a major disappointment. It looked gorgeous, but it tasted like there was little to no alcohol in it. I'm a lightweight and typically feel the effects of a single drink, but I finished the entire cocktail and didn't feel anything. It was supposed to be made with mezcal tequila but I requested a substitution, so I'm not sure if that change was overlooked. The birria tacos were just okay. They were a bit dry and could have used more cheese for better flavor and texture. The salsa was also very thin and watery, which was underwhelming and didn't add much to the meal. Overall, the ambiance and service were the highlights of the experience, but the food and drinks fell short of expectations

Bar tender tells me to wait and makes a couple drinks and then gives me a menu. I asked for a water and the bar tender puts his finger up and tells me to wait again haha. After I looked at the menu for a couple minutes the guy comes out from the kitchen with someone's food and then looks and tells me that the kitchen is closed already. This is the 2nd time I've been here and they've had some lame ass service.

This is my go-to spot when I roadtrip down to SoCal!…read more I didn't realize that I haven't wrote a review for Cotija Taco Shop yet. I've been stopping here every time I go to SoCal these past couple years now. I always stop in Los Baños for Dutch Bros, Cotija, and bathroom break at either Marshall's or Target. Lol This spot has some delicious tacos, nachos, carne asada fries, and more. My most recent visits was with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. We stopped by here on the way to SoCal and back! They do have a few tables outside where you can enjoy your food. There were times when I just took it to my car to eat so I can listen to my podcast. Lol The staff there are friendly, and they have a couple of parking spots too. I've also parked on the street as well in other times that I visited. If you're looking for a solid Mexican spot, you must try this place! :)

We also got a side of chips with came with both salsa and guac. I thought the asada tacos were very good, and I always love when they already come with avocado on it. The meat was very tender. I thought the cabeza taco was good, however, it was definitely very oily and not very neat to eat. The side of chips with guac was good, I felt the salsa was too watery. Overall, I would say the tacos were good, definitely recommend the asada ones!

It is about time that I give recognition where it is deserved. After my third visit here tonight, I…read morethought I would take the time to say thank you for a wonderful dining experience. I love this restaurant, This is Southwest cuisine done to perfection. Think Chevy's , but with an extensive menu and food that is actually really good. There was nothing I would change about my visit tonight- it was memorable and fulfilling. For starters , we ordered the Margherita pizza. Not quite Southwest , but it works - trust me! The pizza is wood-fired! The cheese , tomatoes and basil are fresh. Oh , and the tomato sauce they use is just right. Seriously, the pizza here rivals some pizza that I have tried at Italian restaurants. I can't wait to try more pizza creations. For my entree, I opted for the chile verde enchiladas covered in a smooth tomatillo sauce. This enchilada sauce was so tangy and the pico de gallo and guacamole topped them off perfectly. The entree comes with Spanish rice and charro beans. My wife opted for the ribeye steak fajitas , and they were fantastic. The steak was marinated well and it was tender. The only thing that could have made this dish better would be homemade tortillas . Espana's serves up high quality food. Everything that I have tried so far has been phenomenal. The service that we receive is always prompt and friendly , and the food comes out fast -but not too fast. Tonight's meal was a five star experience. Please look at the colorful menu items below and make it a point to stop in and try for yourself.

I have a fond core memory as a child stopping on the way home at Espanas for dinner. I remember a big spacious restaurant that had that special ambiance of character that I didn't know existed in the small town. I remember the staff being friendly and the food being quick and consistent of expectations with what I ordered. Fast forward to yesterday, our annual trip to the game, this time with my own boys (3&5). It was getting late on the drive home so we needed to stop for dinner. I told my pops about my memory of Espana's and I wanted to stop to see if it was what I remembered. My expectations were met with exactly the nostalgic memories I had of the place. The ambiance, the staff, and food were all exactly as I remember as a child. It's really nice to have this kind of experience at this day and age where everything is corporately owned, cookie cutter, and rushed! See you again next year!
