Update 7/24/18 - I've been eating here a lot, couple of times a week, since the review below. I really like the food. Well except the rice. I may starting to go down the block and order rice from Blue Sky Chinese restaurant for their steamed rice. Any way. If you are looking for some good Greek food. This is the place. 2/18 The food is good but a bit expensive for me. I've eaten there twice now. Both times I ordered pretty much the same thing the Gyro Plate with rice. (13.95) The first time I did not get the rice. As it turned out, it wasn't a big deal. I did mange to get the rice the second time. I don't know if you've ever had Minute Rice, but that's what it tasted like to me. I wasn't impressed with the rice. Very bland. The rest of the meal was very good. On my first visit I also ordered their soup. I enjoyed that as well. Its sad, something as simple as bad rice can ruin a whole meal. read more

I ordered a chicken skewer plate, the Greek salad, lentil soup, and the chicken breast plate. The lentil soup was sooo good, I loved it. The chicken skewer plate was ok, the chicken was very bland but the rice was very good. My boyfriend said his chicken breast plate was ok. The customer service was good, they have friendly people working there. Also, they don't have hummus at this restaurant which was very odd considering most Greek restaurants do. Food is pretty good, unfortunately they do not have some Greek staples that others in the area are so good at. Service with all three of my experiences has been lacking, but the worst was this last time when they forgot me completely. I was on my phone waiting, and when I noticed that no one had come in ordering for a while(30 minutes) that something must have gone wrong. Well the kid at the counter made me feel like it was my fault and was not very accommodating when all I wanted was my food. Very nice place to dine in during lunchtime. I recommend coming in early as it gets crowded at times. Make sure you have plenty of time as food is cooked to order. I cannot recommend one item over the other as they are all good. I recommend trying different items everytime you visit. However, when it doubt, you can always for for the gyros. read more

So we decided to walk over to this place in the neighborhood which seems to be highly reviewed. I had eaten a gyro wrap here once in the past, it was decent but nothing to write home about. We ordered a chicken souvlaki plate, eager to try out the 'el greco' sauce it came with and a spanakopita, to go. The chicken was bone dry. The 'el greco' sauce turned out to be just honey mustard. Honestly, those chicken skewers were some of the worst meat i've ever had, flavorless and dry. The spanakopita, while it was served straight out of the fridge, once warmed up was pretty darn good. That would be the only reason why i'm giving this place 1 star. I had hoped for better for the exorbitant prices they charge. It shouldn't matter that we turned up for dinner while the place was winding down for the day. If you aren't ready to serve quality food for the prices you charge, let me know and i can come back some other time. I am hoping this was a blip, mostly because all the other reviews seem overwhelmingly positive. read more

We opted for the rice. It was a little bland but it went well with the pork & tzatziki sauce. This was my husband's dish and I couldn't help but steal a couple bites. Marouli Salad - $7.50 (+$4 for chicken or pork): This was my dish since I opted for something light after being a little too indulgent the day before. It was almost too light as it was nothing more than chopped romaine, radish, cucumber, green onions & dill. The vinaigrette was a simple mixture of olive oil and vinegar. I am not a fan of raw onions, raw tomatoes, or salads without green leafys, but luckily for me my mom had been here before so I let her order for us. The horiatiki salad was amazing, and it's big enough to share between two as an entree. They give a generous portion of feta cheese with it so you don't even need meat. We did get chicken on ours but it didn't really add anything taste-wise. The fries we ordered were tasty although maybe slightly undercooked for my liking. The rice pudding was exactly the style I like and may be the best I've ever tasted. The interior of the restaurant is adorable and so are the outfits with the aprons they wear. I'll definitely eat here again. It would be nice if they offered beef on the menu but there are other Greek places around if you're in the mood for beef. read more

Whenever I get sick, I go all the way to Tracy to get avgolemono soup from my in-laws, it is magical. If a Greek restaurant even has it, it usually doesn't compare. Low and behold- I found El Greco! Went there yesterday and picked up 6 cups- it's incredible! When you aren't feeling 100%, this soup is the way to go- forget about chicken noodle. We went here for Sunday lunch. The decor was so clean and new looking. Everything we ordered was delicious. Really authentic Greek food. We ordered the Pork Gyro Pita. It was really flavorful and stuffed with plenty of meat and some fries. We also ordered the chicken and pork gyro plates. Good portions. The baklava was just the right amount of sweet, not too much. The BEST was the rice pudding. It's a must to finish off your meal and very creamy. The owners are Tim and Sylvia and very friendly and attentive to clearing our table. Even though it's an "order at the counter" type of eatery, they still checked on us routinely. We were satisfied and so were our kids. read more

I've had my eye on this place since they were under construction and finally came for dinner last night after deciding to forgo the long lines on opening night a week earlier. The pork souvlaki pita wrap was very good - the cubes of pork were tender with just the right amount of fat complemented with a refreshing tzatziki, and the pita was fresh and fluffy. The wrap is a satisfactory (not huge) portion size and the price is right at $7.50. Fries + soda cost $3.50 (there isn't a fries only option). The fries are well executed - crispy surface, moist center, just a little s&p for seasoning (not the limp garlicky fries served at a lot of other Greek places). My boyfriend ordered the pork gyro, which had more seasoning but we both agreed the souvlaki was better. If you want a bigger portion go with the platters ($13.50-$15.50) which I believe have more meat and also include fries - I'm pretty sure the boyfriend will opt for that next time. It's also worth noting that service was very good. It seems like a mom & pop shop and I believe the owner was the woman who took our order and explained the menu to us, afterwards she came by to make sure we enjoyed our meal, and volunteered to take our plates when we were about to bus ourselves. Overall, it was good food, lovely service, and nice decor (elements of modern and traditional). I do like the pork juices and pickled onions at Souvla in SF better but it also comes at a much higher price tag. For the quality and price, El Greco Grill is a great addition to Campbell and I'm sure to return again and again! read more
