Chicken Gyro Bowl $14.95 Chicken gyro on a bed of rice with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onions, feta cheese, & El Greco sauce

Food: I must have gotten lunch at a bad time because the chicken was unfortunately dry. Had to mix it very well with everything else & the sauce.. it was still a little dry. Good portion size for the price and you can't go wrong with healthy Greek food. Ambiance: Friendly staff and very clean inside. Welcoming establishment. I'll be back again but will try something different. Parking: plenty of parking even if you need to grab and good or have a quick eat.

The food has gotten better here because the owner Tim has been cooking himself lately. I tried his pork skewer dish with salad and rice and it was so good. The quality has definitely gone up since last time i visited here. Also Tim is a real nice guy. He is very respectful to the point where you think you are in Greek. I really appreciate his great customer service the the standard he has on his cooking. I really recommend this place. The environment is very clean. Definitely recommend trying this place now that Tim is Cooking himself.

I get why this spot has great reviews! Employees were friendly and food was made to order. I went with the pork gyro pita ($12.95) and made it a combo (fries and soda +$4.95) and I'm glad I did! The pork in the gyro was crispy and charred on the outside, and tender on the inside. The tzatziki sauce in the gyro went so well with the ingredients. Fries were solid as well. Overall good value for the combo meal - super filling and delicious :) Plenty of seating inside and about 5 tables outside. Parking is in a designated lot, and the restaurant shares the plaza with a few other shops.

Would have to say we've eaten frequently in every Greek restaurant in SJ area but had not made time to visit Greco Grill. It's clean inside and out and enough parking to make getting inside easy. You'll be greeted as you walk in the door and Mia doesn't get any more authentic than having three or four Greek brothers/ friends working counter/ kitchen and laptop. Placed order quickly and waited patiently food takes a few minutes to come out ( 10-15 ) and to me that means FRESHLY MADE! Everything tasted delicious, especially the pita bread and the tzatziki. Staff came and checked on us twice to make sure everything was OK. They expressed a bit of concern to make sure the gluten-free / gf, celiac Beef plate was ordered and brought to us safely. Will certainly be back

Absolutely Delicious! Went here with my lovely daughter yesterday for lunch. The two words about describe the food perfectly! We both ordered the gyro plates. Heaping portion of delicious browned juicy flavorful crispy pork pieces piled on your plate. Served with either French fries or rice. Plus some salad and pita bread. The fries are wonderful! No idea what oil they fry them in but they are super tasty! Just enough crunch with a light pillowy airy inside to them. Super yummy! The service was very good as well! You place your order and go find a nice table to sit at. While sitting you get to hear the hunger inducing clatter of plates and the clanking of the spatula working the pork on the griddle. You also get to smell the deliciousness as it wafts through the restaurant causing your tummy to grumble. When the orders are finished, the gentleman grabs the plates and ferries them to the patiently waiting diners. Every time the gentleman grabbed the finished orders, my daughter and I would sit up straight in our seats hoping he was carrying our feasts. (Now I know how my dog feels when I'm preparing his dinner) Once the plates were gently set down in front of us, all conversations ended. The only sound you could hear was the sound of chewing. Yummy! The food here is awesome! We will be back!

Food taste GREAT, and service very friendly. Clean ambiance and we have a big party of 13 people and order lots of food. We end up clean out all the plates. Will be visit again next time in San Jose.

I love Greek food and I eat quite a bit of it! This place is awesome, from the food to the service. The chef Giannis knows what he's doing with food. You can tell he loves food and loves serving it up right. There hasn't been one dish I didn't like here. Every single person who's worked the register over the past 2 years (since I've found this little gem!) has been friendly and given top-notch service. I highly recommend the dolma and Greek salad. The feta they use here is good quality, and so are the olives. And if you like your drinks sweet, you should definitely try the sour cherry Loux soft drink. It's a little glass bottle. You won't go wrong ordering anything here!

I didn't get to ask but this place looks like it opened within this past year... there's nice amount of indoor seating and a few outdoor seating . The staff was nice. When i asked if the salad dressing has egg in it, he offered me another dip (eggplant) which was amazing! I could have asked for another one; I ate it with the meat and salad. I love that the Chicken Gyro was not salty, that is always a plus, although, i thought it could use just a little bit more of whatever spices they typically use.... But yes, no complaints... it was a nice serving of meat and rice. The only reason why i didn't give it a 5 was because i thought it was a bit overpriced for the gyro plate. The typical price for the same entree in a similar setting would be between $15-$18. I thought the owner was there also, or perhaps the manager, but i didn't notice him engaging with customers.

Clean space with modern decor. Order at the counter. We're currently vegetarian for lent, so didn't try any of their meat dishes, which we wonder if those would have been better From their appetizers we had the Melitzanosalata, which was a mashed eggplant dip. It's heavier on the pepper flavor (and is reddish), with a tinge of spiciness. We had their falafel wrap- I liked the fresh soft pita, and the falafel was well done. Otherwise, the wrap was a bit flavorless, but the he tzatziki sauce helped and I wish there was more of that in the wrp. We also tried one of their specials which which was the plant based meat patty wrap. This was borderline gross. It looked kind of like a impossible patty, but it was so soft and mushy inside. The crisper edges tasted okay- so I think it just needs to be cooked differently

This place never disappoints. Whenever I come by here, I make it a point to stop by and grab something. My favorite thing to order are the soups. The lentil and the avgolemono are top not notch, humble, and full of flavor. Their service is friendly and quick. Their ambiance is low key, tucked in the corner of greatness. Okay... so I went home and had to go ahead and add more. This has to be some of the best food I've tried in my life... this is coming from some who cooks well, and is a foodie too! The chicken wrap and the chicken gyro bowls has a good amount of spice and cooked to perfection. The feta cheese melted in my mouth like cream cheese would, the veggies were mouth watering and fresh, while the soup was just as good as I remember it. I'm always stuffing my face as if I'm in a race (for no apparent reason), except that it tastes that darn good.

This place goes so hard. A friend and I shared a gyro bowl and gyro fries and we definitely could've fed another 1.5 persons. I had the rest for my next two meals. Price is super reasonable, we ended up paying about $15 each. They have both pork gyro and chicken gyro for the halal and kosher friends. They also have sweet and spicy tabasco on the side and wow I definitely will be stocking up on that. Thanks for putting me on!!

This place is GREAT as far as the service and food goes so giving it a 5! I do think that they could use a bit of sprucing up inside. I had the Chicken Gyro Salad. It was fantastic! My friend ordered the Paidakia plate (lamb shank). It was great too. I tasted it! We also both had the Avgolemono (Lemon chicken rice soup). Yum! I have to say the absolute best, to DIE for treat was the Flogera. It's a type of dessert somewhat similar to baklava, but way better! Like so good I wanted to roll around on the floor and moan! Sorry. I forgot to take a picture of the actual food so that last picture is a stock photo so you know what it is. It's not on the menu yet.

Why do they put French fries in everything? Too much grease. Food is expensive and just ok. There are better places to eat.

You can definitely split plates here as the portions are big. We ordered the falafels, baba ganoush, chicken souvlaki plate and the gyro plate. We will be adding this one to our rotation!

1st time here. A friend invited me to join her, and said it was where many of her co-workers ate…read more The short version is: my meal was very sub-par, and way over-priced. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.

They are located in a little strip mall on Alma Ave a few doors down from The Giving Pie. The parking lot is not huge but it we were able to find parking with no problem. The inside is nicely decorated with pictures of famous places in Greece. It's not huge inside but cozy with several tables for inside seating as well as a patio outside for outdoor seating. You can scan the QR code at your table or order at the front counter. We ordered from the front counter. We ordered the highly recommended Mousaka, the 3 piece plate with a side of green Greek salad. We chose the chicken skewer, pork skewer, and bifteki for our 3 meat choices as well as an order of Spanikopita. Our food was delivered to our table promptly. I grew up eating my Mom's Mousaka and I've eaten it in Athens, Naxos and Santorini. Let me tell you, their Mousaka was excellent. The eggplant, potato, meat filling and béchamel on the top were perfect. It's definitely a must try. The three skewers of meat were so flavorful and juicy. Both my husband and I loved it!! The pita bread it came with so warm and soft. The Spanikopita was fresh and hot. Delicious flaky phyllo dough with a savory spinach interior. The salads that came with each dish were also wonderful. Their feta on the top was so good and I loved the Kalamata olives. Customer service here was great. The young lady that helped us when we ordered was very friendly and helpful. It started getting busy inside while we were eating and I can see why. This is delicious homemade Greek food made from the heart. We will be coming here more often, now that we know about this place. "I didn't hear what he said, that's why I said to hang on." There was another older woman on expo floor who was extremely rude too. After telling her they gave my order to the wrong person, she looked at the other girl and said "you deal with it" and proceeded to ignore us. She also had the audacity to look at me and say "well we didn't do it on purpose." Again, NOT APOLOGETIC AT ALL nor did they take any accountability for their mistake. Neither of them apologized at all or offered to make things right. They completely ignored us and didn't care that they made a mistake. They had no idea what they were doing on expo. They were mixing up orders and getting confused when packing the containers of food. No matter how good the food may be, the extremely rude service and lack of attention to detail prevents me from ever returning here. If you ever order to go, whether it's in person/over the phone/online pick up, MAKE SURE you have the right order before you leave; if you don't get the right order, they won't care to make it right or acknowledge their mistake in the slightest.

Dinner was romantic, food was excellent, the wait staff took really good care of us. When I found Dio Deka I thought I had discovered a new restaurant, but I was surprised to find that the place was well established over 22 years. The place felt more like a traditional steakhouse, which I was later told was indeed a former one. We immediately were welcomed by friendly staff members and a "Happy Anniversary" card at our table. I noticed that the many tables were recognized by special occasions, which was thoughtful. Our table was in an intimate corner next the fireplace. The fireplace was not lit since it was a warm Spring day. That said, I could see our table being a highly requested one during colder days. Overall service was top notch. Food came out in a timely manner. I never felt that we had long gaps between dishes. Our waiter was awesome. Don't remember his name, but he was a young gentleman who was friendly, attentive, and helpful with food recommendations. One of the managers stopped by, and he also was very hospitable. I enjoyed everything I ate... They kicked us off with avocado pistachio jalapeno mousse amuses-bouches. We got spanikotiropita and the Horiatiki "Village Salad" to share. I liked that the spanikotiropitas were small bite sizes, and the phyllo dough was so crispy. Their horiatiki was what I expected in a classic Greek salad, but the fresh feta and crisp veggies made it a notch above the rest. It was addictive, and I could eat plates of it. We hit home runs with the entrees: moussaka and the lamb shank. I am a huge fan of moussaka and thought that Dio Deka's was delicious. I also liked how they built the moussaka layers in a cast iron dish, which kept the moussaka warm and gooey with every bite. The lamb was tender and fell off the bone, and it sat on perfectly cooked al dente pastina. I wish I had room for dessert, but we were treated with chocolate mousse mignardises.
