Ordered the special pupusa for like 1.80 and to my surprise they were delicious and just the perfect size . Highly recommend!

Hell no! I just ordered a chicken tamale from them and it was very spoiled! Spoiled to the point that it stunk and I threw up! The fact that the tamale wasn't hot should've been a warning (mabe they microwaved it?) I couldn't tell it was spoiled at first, then when I tried the filing I noticed the chicken was super foul smelling and mushy! That's when I tossed my cookies! I'm super pissed because my immune system is weak and food poisoning could land me in the hospital for weeks! I'm hoping I didn't have enough to do that tho! After that, I didn't bother trying the pupusas. I tossed everything! I love Salvadoran tamales and I probably won't be eating one for a long time! read more

This place is really close to work so I wanted to try it out. I had a cheese pupusa , an order of empanadas which are fried plantains but shaped round and it has this cream filling inside and I also had an ensalada as my drink. The pupusa was ok , I really love cheese and that's what it lacked. The empanadas were ok as well. My only favorite thing was the ensalada drink. I loved it. Pupusas were really good! I came on a Thursday and they were only $1. They guy who worked there told me that those were the specials for Thursday's and Friday's and that they had the regular ones. I was wondering how big the regular ones were because the ones for $1 were really satisfying ( I had 2). The casamiento was a bit dry but the Salvadoran crema made it much better. They've been having the sale of .99 cents popusas Thursday and Friday for years too. If you call for a take out on any of these days, leave a 30 minute window. They make them when you order. The wait time is so worth it. Try them one day, you will be hooked just like I am. We have use this place to cater one of our events. The order was ready on time and fresh. Curtido and red salsa was appropriately proportioned due to the amount ordered. All the containers where separated and labeled. read more

I come here for their carne asada plate, which is the best I've ever had at any local restaurant! The plate comes with rice, beans, cheese, a small portion of salad and of course the delicious meat. Oh yes and two handmade tortillas! It's to die for! There is enough to share, but it's so yummy that I doubt you will want to. Lol. My beans were burnt once, but that has been my only complaint about the food. My other complaints are about payment method and wait time. It's cash only and they take FOREVER to serve you. I like to order over the phone and show up 30 mins later to pick up my food, which sometimes isn't long enough because they still make me wait. I've also tried their pupusas and caldo de pollo, which are also delicious. So remember to place your to-go order over the phone and bring cash.
