    Chorizo and egg taco $1.65.
    Daryll B.

I'm hanging around the barrio again on Spur St. I tried a chorizo and egg taco through the drivethough. I found the tortilla to be hard around the edges and the chorizo and egg lacked flavor. I probably won't be back as Milly's across the street also has a drive though and her tortillas are soft, homemade and delicious. In comparing these Spur st. joints with Seguin taquerias (taco tejano, las palmas, the palms), there is just no comparison. Seguin is outstanding with the tortillas, salsas, and meat fillings.

Popped into El Jardin for breakfast and the breakfast tacos did not disappoint. The fillings were very generous and service was on point. Tortillas were tasty but a little on the hard side. I would definitely return to try other dishes. I really like El Jardin because they have a nifty drive-thru that I've been using since I was in high school. There are plenty of seating options and they have a nice bar in the back room.

    So goooood

You can tell everyone is genuinely happy to be there (not something you see often). We ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes (amazing), the breakfast fried rice (so many flavors and so filling!) and my husband had Joe's Sammich. Everything was made fresh and had so many elements of flavor to them! The portions are larger than they seem and so rich! Even their waffle fries are perfectly crisped and flavored! My husband loved their cold brew and I enjoyed drip coffee. We will definitely be back again to try more menu items- including the boozy coffee. The place is unique and I'm so glad it's here!

They have a soda fountain/ section with coffee where you get your own drinks, and have a seat. The restaurant has a minimal modern style, and was very clean. The bathroom was cute done in black and white decor. We ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes, when they arrived at the table, the presentation was amazing and looked delicious. Upon tasting them, absolutely no lemon taste, and the pancakes themselves were kind of gummy. Asked the co- owner woman for some syrup also could I use some butter. Her reply was it's not meant to be eaten with syrup that I would ruin the ambiance of the meal... ok... don't appreciate someone telling me how to eat my food when it definitely lacks something. Also felt rushed when asked if I was done, while still eating.

Upon sitting down at the table, we were served salsa and chips, which were really good. I did ask for green salsa, which was also good. The food was really delicious. My only complaint would have been that one of our lunch plates was given to the table next to us in error and instead of replacing the plate immediately we had to wait until that table's order was filled, and they took their plate and gave it to our table. As far as drinks, the Micheladas were good, but the frozen mango margarita had an artificial powdery taste. But overall, our waitress was amazing and super friendly . I definitely would come back since enchiladas were really good.

We used to call in our order and then pick it up on the way back from church but after today, we are absolutely done with this place.. we had to wait close to an hour to get food that we had called in, no apology. I had requested a refund and to cancel the order so we could just get food elsewhere for our hungry kids and both times she told me no that the food was being packed when in fact, it wasn't even done being made.. Do yourself a favor and find a cleaner place to eat and one that respects you as a paying customer. UPDATE: When we got home the pancakes were grossly undercooked and not edible!

Friendly greeting, seated within 5 minutes and water delivered to table even before the waitress could get there. I ordered a Hatfield, a ground ribeye burger on a locally sourced fabulous bun. The combination of beef, swiss cheese, carmelized onions and a horsey sauce was outstanding! My granddaughter enjoyed a high quality mac and cheese with fries and a delightful prickly pear lemonade. My daughter went with the Road Crossing tacos and Cajun fries and raved about both items. I was impressed that a fresh tea with lime was delivered without having to request it. The waitress even asked if I wanted a 3rd glass. Hint: tip based on having lime as requested and timely refills! Dog friendly patio. They even offer entrees for your pup! Clean, modern restroom with baby changing table. Unique decor, including a bison head above the door. Great menu - plan to return to eat my way those yummy sounding choices! Last night I finally brought my husband to try it after hyping it up for so long, and unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. Things have definitely changed. I was really looking forward to the chicken fried chicken, only to find out they were completely out of mashed potatoes. For a place known for chicken, that was surprising. So I ended up just sharing some of my husband's meal and our appetizer. The cornbread has always been something I rave about, especially with their hot honey. This time it came out dry, and the hot honey had no heat at all. It just was not the same. My husband's fried chicken was honestly the worst part. It was burnt, with a layer of black under the breading, and tasted like it had been overcooked to the point of being charred. There is no way the kitchen did not see how dark it was before serving it. That said, his sides were still great, so at least part of the meal was enjoyable. Our friend's chicken sandwich was not terrible, but it did not taste fresh like it used to. It felt more like something frozen and heavily breaded instead of the quality we had experienced before. One positive was the service. Our server was wonderful, and the rest of the staff was kind and attentive as well. I accidentally spilled my drink right after it arrived, and they were quick and gracious to replace it even though it was completely my fault. That was very much appreciated. The other issue that really took away from the experience was the atmosphere. Halfway through our meal, a large group of adults sat in the courtyard and had their children sit separately at a table right next to us, while their parents remained in another section of the patio. The kids were clearly having fun and playing games, which is great, but they were also very loud and screaming just a foot away from our table while their parents enjoyed quiet drinks elsewhere. There were completely open sections of the patio farther away where they could have sat, so it was frustrating that they were placed right next to the only other table of adults trying to enjoy a night out. It ended up being very disruptive and took away from what we had hoped would be a relaxing evening. Overall, I was really disappointed. This used to be a place I highly recommended, but after this visit it feels like the quality and attention to detail have slipped. I truly hope they can get back to what made them so great before.
