Very thin sliced and over cooked chicken.

My friend but I to a piece of metal in his quesadilla from the bag the raw meat come it. That is what the manager told us it was. He apologized. My steak was very this sliced beef cut and way over cooked so it was basically leather. I sent it back and asked for chicken instead. The chicken was also cut very thin before it was over cooked as well. The restaurant did not offer to comp my friend's meal. Thus place used to be good. The last three visits have been very disappointing. I will not return.

I had a beef super burrito (lunch). I specifically asked if the beef was seasoned because I'd had alot of beef at Mexican places be just ground beef with no seasonings. The server said yes it was. Well it wasn't. It was a very small burrito and was bland because beef had no seasonings on it. The beef actually had no flavor. The beans and rice were typical. The salsa was watered down and the queso was 4.95 for a half cup AT BEST in the little bowl. My husband had steak fajitas and they were good - not great but good.

We were driving by my old hometown and decided to stop and check this place out. We visited on a Saturday around noonish and it was not that busy. We were seated fairly quickly. We were seated in a booth and Loved the cushion in these seats literally felt as if you were sitting on a cloud. They were quick to bring out the chips and salsa; the salsa was a little on the runny side and I feel needed a little more spice, but it was still good. The waiter quickly came to get our drink order and gave us menus. It took us a few minutes to decide what we were gonna order and the waiter would check in us frequently. I ordered their Saturday lunch special (fajitas) and my son ordered the Create your own Nachos (Chicken/Beef/Cheese). The food came out pretty fast and was hot. The fajitas came with sautéed green peppers and onions, rice, beans, tortillas, and the toppings. The meat was tasty but could use extra seasoning. The nachos came with beef and chicken (fyi....the chicken is shredded and with green peppers and onion). It was a nice size serving. Of course, we were not able to finish our entire meal so we asked for to-go boxes. The nachos were tasty as well, but could need a tad bit more seasoning. The food was good and will definitely go again to try something else or to have a drink. It is kind of pricy, but the Saturday lunch special price is not bad at all! The ambiance is nice and it aesthetically pleasing; the host and waiter were nice and attentive. Definitely a good place to try out.

Nice menu, excellent food. We've been there 4 or 5 times and get great food for a reasonable price. Definitely a local favorite.

It is first, first serve but we found around 7 pm, the bar was empty. If you don't mind this, I highly recommend for last minute planning. When we were seated, the bartenders were pleasant and helpful. The service was quick. We ordered the aged cheddar pierogis for the appetizer which was a good start for two people. They were fried so you are staying clear of fried foods--I would skip this dish (it wasn't listed as fried). The cocktails and food was amazing. We ate all of our food but it wasn't too much where you felt sick. I would come back to this restaurant again if I am in the area.

First of all, the drive to Fennville is gorgeous! We always love the rural landscape and the quaint town itself. Definitely a destination to visit. Second, the building itself is cute, rustic, inviting, and well-kept right in the heart of Fennville's adorable downtown. Third, the staff are so welcoming, kind, helpful, and professional. We especially loved our hostess (Chrissie/Christy?). She treated us so well and definitely talked us into some yummy extras Now to the food and drinks! The extensive cocktail, wine, and beer selection is high quality and specially curated. I had a hard time deciding, but I settled on the Sage Rub. It was so delicious and refreshing; not too sweet. I highly recommend it! My husband got the Bell's Hazy IPA, one of his favorites! We started with the Brussels sprouts and the bread board. The Brussels were decadent, crisp, and flavorful! The bread was such a rich array of tasty breads and butter/salt/pepper sides. We loved every bite! I got the house salad and my husband got the special. We each preferred our own salads, so that's good! I loved the house salad because of the light and refreshing vinegarette . The flavors were spot on. My husband liked that the special salad brought together a bunch of different flavors into a sweet/tangy delight! For our main entrees, both my husband and I were eying the Three Little Pigs pizza. He ended up getting and let me have a bite: so flavorful with high quality meats, cheese, and ingredients overall. So good! I got the Housemade pasta with beef tenderloin, charred onions, and mushroom sauce. It was literally divine and I cherished each and every bite. We would have loved to get dessert, but we were stuffed! Maybe next time? Prices are great, the space is clean/safe, and the portions are excellent. And you can make reservations through their website beforehand. Very clutch, especially since it is a good drive from most towns. If you are nearby and have the time, please make Salt of the Earth a part of your dinning experience. I promise that your taste buds will be very thankful. See you next time, Salt if the E

The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, but they were still able to seat us on the back patio, we actually grabbed the last outdoor table. The patio was a great place to sit and had nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was where things started to fall apart. After we were seated, we didn't see our server for quite a while. We completely understand that restaurants get busy, but if the staff is already overwhelmed, it might be better to slow seating rather than have guests waiting so long. When our server did make it over, he apologized for the delay. We ordered margaritas for the adults, drinks for the kids, and started with the small guacamole and queso. Oddly, our appetizers arrived before any of our drinks. After another wait, our server finally brought the beverages and apologized again. The margaritas were all very good, we tried the Golden, Regular, and Chambord, with the Golden being our favorite. The guacamole and queso were both delicious, although we wished they offered a trio with salsa instead of having to order everything separately. The queso was a big hit with the kids. For dinner, our table ordered the shrimp tacos, Enchiladas de Mole Poblano, the Avocado Burrito, and the Su Casa Quesadilla with steak. My son ordered the mozzarella sticks from the kids' menu. Overall, the food was really good. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the house-made tomato sauce on top of the Avocado Burrito, but the burrito itself was good. Once our meals arrived, our server disappeared again. We wanted extra chips to finish the guacamole and queso, a side of salsa for the tacos and quesadilla, and more napkins since each place setting only came with one paper napkin. After waiting without seeing our server, we finally went inside to ask for everything ourselves. The restaurant has a great vibe with fun décor and patio, good food, and margaritas. Unfortunately, the service really overshadowed what could have been a great meal. We're hoping there was something unusual going on that night because we'd be willing to give Su Casa another chance. Not everyone in our group felt the same, several said they wouldn't return after this experience.
