I love el jaripeo, and I have officially been to every location:) I was so excited for this Menasha location as my boyfriend's mom lives right up the road. We came here for our Valentine's dinner on Saturday night. Delicious! As always. Pretty busy, but our server was very attentive. We each got a jumbo margarita - quite strong but yummy. Guacamole and salsa were good. The small guac was pretty small as can be seen on background of my tack pic. As for the food: my carne asada looks SO BLAND but rest assured, it was so flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend got a quesadilla (which annoys me because they have so many great options and we can make this at home). But I will say it was quite good. Will be back obviously!! read more

Great staff, great food as always. I'm always amazed at the way ALL the staff makes sure you are happy and the food is always fantastic. The margaritas always hit the spot. YUMMY!! The music is authentic, upbeat but not to loud. Great patio as well. read more

I went to eat at El Jariepo to try the buffet they offer for lunch. Everything was cold. No communication with the server as there was a language barrier. I looked past that. My friend asked for a container to get a to go buffet and was ignored by 3 different employees. She then got the container but was given 2 so she figured ok 2 is good for a to go buffet. She was charged for 2 buffets plus hers which she ate at the restaurant. Mind u the containers were pretty small. Our bills were separate so I realize today I was charged 55.39 for 1 buffet when my bill totaled 15.36 so just to make others aware please check your bills if u eat here or have eaten here. I went in today n got my money back but that's beside the point. No questions asked so I feel this may be a regular thing they do seeing as others may not pay attention and be getting ripped off! read more

Depending on where in the Fox Valley area you live this place may be a bit tucked away. Definitely worth the drive, but if you're a drinker plan on only one margarita. I've had several different entrees here and never once been disappointed. Add on a super friendly staff plus a huge dining room and beautiful patio during the summer! You never feel rushed and are always thanked on your way out the door. read more

Mediocre food. Applied 3 strikes rule. Out. Meat is loaded with salt. Nachos are odd texture and soggy. Served Merlot ice cold. It'd be surprising if large margaritas had an ounce of tequila. It's unfortunate because they have the best patio in the Valley. read more

Was ok. Nice environment. Ok food. Coconut shrimp was good. Sauce was coconut milk. Kind of weird. Sauce didn't stick to shrimp. Was like dipping in a glass of milk. Mahi Mahi tacos had no real pieces of Mahi Mahi. Fish was more like slur. Sauce was a weird heat. Service was OK. I ordered a Margarita. Lots of ice. Very large. 15. Would never have ordered something this big. Great money maker for the restaurant. Had them put in container and safety seal it to bring home. Took two more days to finish. I can say that they have changed Menasha motto. "Menasha, home of ...nothing" though it is on border of Darby. It is worth trying. Just be aware of 3.5 non cash upcharge. read more

You can also get lunch starting at 10 AM. I've had their breakfast buffet (check for hours), their cinnamon rolls and several breakfast items. They have always been appropriately prepared. Rusted Root is the perfect type of spot to go when you want a good burger or sandwich that's more inventive than the average casual spot. Since I went in the wintertime, I wasn't able to check out the rooftop. I spotted on the cocktail menu that they make a vodka cran with lavender I've never seen that combo!
