Menu with $5 fountain drinks with a whole one refill.

The food is good, not the best I've ever had but far from the worst. If you're having a craving it will scratch that itch. But $5 for a fountain drink, limited to one refill? Really? It costs cents to make a fountain drink, the ice usually being the most expensive thing in the glass. I know inflation and recession have been a thing, but damn. Figure there's probably about $4.60 or so in profit being made on this, for every drink that gets ordered.

MOLCAJETE SEAFOOD, served in a boiling pot, enough for 2
    Christine S.

FOOD: Wow! I've never had anything like the Molcajete Seafood dish and considering it's served boiling you might be worried about over cooked, but no, everything was perfectly tender. Octopus, shrimp, fish, crab and more. This dish delivers flavor, fresh food and experience. Salsa was fresh and tasty. Guacamole was great. Service was outstanding. I went at 3:30 PM on a Sunday. There when we needed, let us pick most remote table outside even though we were two at a four top. Cleanliness: no problems, cleaned table before we sat down. Everyone wore a mask. PRICE: Very reasonable. $22 for the seafood dish which we split for 2. Total tab for 3 margarita's, main dish, guac and salsa/chips (latter complimentary) about $56 with tax. A foodie acquaintance recommended I go for a house margarita and the dish, and said if I didn't like it, she'd pay for it. She was spot on and I won't be collecting. Do the same and you won't be disappointed.

My order of a dozen wings, or should I say 11 wings and a crumb. So disappointing

I'm not even sure if I can recommend this place to my friends. Pricey is an understatement!…read moreI'm not going to lie, I enjoyed the food and the portion was generous but we misread the menu and thought the salad with lobster was $26, when in reality that was only the addition of lobster. The overall price was $45 for the strawberry and walnut salad with lobster. Ouch! My friend ordered a Cesar salad with lobster and it was $40. Including two sodas and one cup of clam chowder (for my friend) our bill was $120, not including tip. This was lunch, not dinner. Service was good. And the place has sitting outside, which is in the shade but it's wood benches that are very hard and uncomfortable. Again, food is not bad, but I don't think I will come back. Sorry!

He said the bartender appeared to be the manager and was cursing at the wait staff. Finally ordered and food came out 30 minutes later and was cold. Waiters tried to deliver drink orders several times that were not ours, and one time spilled them everywhere. My favorite part was watching a restaurant absolutely melt down, with numerous, visibly unhappy tables and a staff in disarray, all while the owner Butch drank a beer with a smile on his face, not a care in the world. Clear that locals and friends of the proprietor are keeping the place busy, so don't expect it to change. But maybe let them keep this place for themselves, it was a truly hilarious disaster.

After my 1st day snowboarding, due to our lack of snow this winter, Vail had the best forecast, and…read moreI happily rode 7 runs in 2-hours, and was then starving, after also skipping lunch. Since I'd parked at Lions Head, before I returned to Denver, I considered the Vail Chophouse, as their menu looked delicious, however when I went inside, the live music was so loud - even with my noise-canceling headphones still in- that I still couldn't hear, and knew I'd blow out my ear drums. Enter: Montauk Seafood Grill, the perfect antidote, with an equally appealing menu, and a much more serene ambiance. :-) Given I was famished, I asked my wonderful server, Brenn, for recommendations, and she was - hands down - one of the best servers I've had, in a long time. She was friendly, attentive, honest, and an all around delight. I started by asking her suggestion, as to if I should order the "Blood Moon" or "Happy Coconut" mocktail, and she recommended the Blood Moon, which was delicious! I love Blood Orange, and it had the perfect combination of mint, to be both sweet & sour. I needed a mocktail, given I was driving back to Denver, after dinner. She then brought me delicious Rosemary Sourdough and Citrus Butter, as a starter, which was fantastic, especially given I needed all the carbs, from skipping lunch, riding so much, and from fasting the night before, for a prior medical appointment, that morning, in Denver, hence my late start, snowboarding. Then I ordered - and loved - the Point Reyes Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon, medium rare, with the most delicious asparagus I've ever had, and I was grateful that they could make my truffle potatoes, whipped, instead of hash brown style. I ended my delicious dinner with a cappuccino, for the drive home. Perfection!

We honestly didn't have big expectations, but the food ended up being a really pleasant surprise. We ordered the chips with guacamole and cheese to start, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The chicken quesadillas were the standout for me -- absolutely delicious and very satisfying. My husband ordered the enchiladas de asada. I didn't try them myself since I usually avoid dishes with a lot of salsa, but he couldn't stop talking about how good they were and said they were "out of this world." We also had three beers and two margaritas, and with all the food included, the total came out to around $100. For lunch for four people, especially coming from Miami prices, that felt like a great deal. Overall, it was a very solid, tasty, and convenient spot that exceeded our expectations.
