Really wanted to like this place based on the other reviews and because I love supporting little mom and pop spots. But sadly this place was super disappointing. There is no menu inside, only the picture menu outside, and no prices listed anywhere. There's also nothing but a counter to eat at, so zero ambiance. The food was also very mediocre and a let down. Ordered the chile relleno plate which was about $21. The cashier asked if I wanted home made tortillas and of course I said yes because who doesn't want handmade tortillas if given the option, right? Turns out they're almost $6 extra, which is just ridiculous! The chile relleno ended up being was medium sized and the cheese tasted dried out and not fresh at all. Also ordered the wet burrito, they were out of carnitas so got pastor. It was almost $24 for the burrito and it didn't come with any cheese, sour cream or guacamole. When I asked asked if it came with guacamole-which a $24 burrito absolutely should-the cashier just made some excuse about avocados being too expensive to include. WTH! The burrito looks large but it's just overly stuffed with dry rice, a few whole beans, pico de gallo and barely any meat. I also asked for chips and salsa when I got my order and again, the lady gave the same lame excuse about not offering chips because they can't afford to. I eat at Nelly's, another mom and pop place in Norwalk, and they're very kind and always offer fresh chips and salsa and nothing is over $20. So annoying to come here instead and spend $50 on two dishes-no drinks btw- and have to eat at a shallow counter on hard folding chairs. Honestly, Alberto's has better food and better ambience! Will not be returning because there are way better options for Mexican in the area! read more

We recently tried Cocina de Nely Preciado and had a great experience!!! Nely and her staff were so kind and courteous!!! We ordered the chicken flautas and combination fajitas, and both were excellent. The flautas were crispy, flavorful, and topped with fresh ingredients that didn't feel too heavy. The fajitas were just as amazing -- well-seasoned, juicy, and cooked with a nice char! What really stood out was the consistency across the plate -- the rice, beans, and tortillas were all fresh and flavorful, not just fillers. Portions are generous, and everything tasted like it was made with care. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Found this place from Tik Tok & it did not disappoint! Had the tacos de amor, the flavor & crunch is something I am still drooling over. I love pickled red onions & the fact that they were generous in these tacos is what I loved, it enhanced the flavor. I was greeted instantly by the sweet ladies running the front and the kitchen today around 4:45 PM. the woman who took my order appeared to be the owner of the restaurant and she had nothing but a smile on her face while taking my order! she was so sweet and she assured me my food would taste amazing and I made a great choice stopping here for lunch before ending my evening. We ordered quesa birria tacos with consommé, rice and beans. Also ordered cheese enchiladas with roasted potatoes and carrots. I explained that I needed 1 vegan meal, so she recommended potato flautas. She was very accommodating with the restrictions (no dairy) and added rice and beans to "fill them up". I went here once and was very disappointed with my order of beef ribs. The cook sliced off the ribs and dunked them in oil then heated them up on the flat grill. The ribs were too tough to eat. I expected fall off the bone meat. The sauce on the ribs did nothing to improve the taste of the ribs. read more

Our breakfast plates were delicious, we ordered the machaca plate and the huevos rancheros. My husband asked Nelly to fry the tortillas and cooked the eggs a little more which she did!! She is willing to go the extra mile to please her clients. It is small place and seating is limited but she also takes orders to go.
