My daughter came in here for lunch. My daughter had the lunch buffet, nothing was fresh and it looked as if it sat out all day. I ordered the Texas fajitas, I specifically asked for NO beans. Umm if you want great authentic Mexican this is NOT the place for you. The fajitas were lukewarm and not sizzly, the steak looked like chewed up crap spit onto an overly greasy "hotplate" with veggies. The sour cream was hotter than the fajitas and was extremely salty. The guac was awful! The salsa was not good but it was tolerable if you like cilantro with tomato undertones. The chips were probably the best part. None of our food was any good. We had 2 different people asking to take our order within less than a minute! They couldn't figure out who was taking the table i guess. Will not return. I'll drive 45 minutes to pueblos if i want Mexican or make it at home, i make better fajitas than this place did. read more

My wife and I normally love Mexican food. However this is not somewhere we would go back to. We were camping at Vogel State Park and wanted to check out food in Blairsville. I wished we had gone somewhere else. The service was slow. We didn't get a server for at least 15 minutes and the place was empty. The food was subpar. We were surprised how good El Manzanillo was. It had great service, dog friendly, very clean and had a very extensive menu. We sat outside with our German Shepherd where we enjoyed chicken and steak fajitas, large steak quesadilla, and the taco/enchilada combo platter. Everything was excellent, super fresh and plenty to eat. The chips and salsa are also wonderful, but beware- the hot salsa picante is really hot, no joke! Highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Very good. Hard to find good Mexican food in Blairsville, but this was very good. I had the salad with grilled shrimp and it was basic but good for a dieter. Avocado would be a good addition to this salad, and I used salsa as the dressing. It was quite good. Service was good. We will be back again. read more

What a pleasant surprise this place turned out to be. I would have never thought I can get such delicious food in the middle of nowhere. I was only passing through and extremely hungry on a Sunday 9:30 p.m. so you can imagine there were not many places open, except for fast food. It was raining cats and dogs outside but we were welcomed inside with a smile only minutes from their closing time. We ordered the ribeye Pollo Loco rice and beans, tacos de carne asada and that order came with six grilled shrimp. Let's start with the rice and beans which were so good. The rice was tasty and moist and the beans were nice and perfectly refried... very tasty well seasoned. The steak and the grilled chicken Pollo Loco where deliciously tender and tasted perfectly and had fresh grilled onions and fresh mushrooms which was absolutely yummmmmmy. The guacamole was creamy and delish and their creamy melted cheese was the best I have had in a while... the only thing we did not like was the shrimp...all in all it was a great meal. read more

Good authentic Mexican. Everyone in our party of four was happy with their meal. Restaurant had just been open two days when we passed by and decided to give it a try. Good service, too. No alcohol yet, but they told us it was OK to brown bag till license acquired. We will definitely go back. Pretty solid three star. I mean salsa was good but not great. The service wasn't the best but they came when needed. I am used to restaurants being packed I guess since this is a small town that's not an everyday thing. But there were only three people in there. I had the buffet. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Order a quesadilla. Came out extremely fast, I cut it open and the amount of grease that came out of it was alarming. My entire plate was covered in grease. It had one shrimp in the entire quesadilla. My waiter never came back to check on me. I sat there for about 15 minutes with an empty glass and one bite taken out of the worst quesadilla I've ever had. Walked to the counter to check out where my waiter gave me my check. We visited this place last night. We had just been hiking for 3 days so any real cooked food would have tasted good to us. We absolutely love Mexican food and we really wanted to love this place but it just wasn't good. The service was not friendly at all. There was only one other group in the restaurant during our entire visit. We had dinner around 9pm on a Tuesday night and I don't know what time they close but it seemed to inconvenience them if we asked for anything because they were cleaning. I had la cinta (pork with green salsa, beef with red salsa and quesedillas) and it was alright. My favorite part of my entree was the variety in one dish. My significant other had camarones a la diabla (shrimp in salsa) and he was not at all impressed. Our food was not bad by any means, Our food was simply not memorable and the service just made us feel very unwelcome. They were cleaning the whole time so no concerns there. It was well priced at under $20 for two entrees. We wished we had gone somewhere else for our first meal back. Will not be returning. read more

I have enjoyed El Manzanillo many times over the last two years. The food is wonderful and the table service is great. The wait staff check back many times after the food is served. The one negative is upon checkout. The gentleman at the register is always on the telephone. I don't think it is appropriate for this person to take the money and over his telephone conversation say "Thanks, Amigos." The restaurant needs to have a dedicated cashier. read more
