Super yummy looking, tastes as good as it looks burrito, half gristle, half Carne asada jerky, very dry, probably going to the dogs,
Donald S.

I judge a restaurant by how much unedible gristle is in the Carne asada. I'm halfway through my first Carne asada burrito and so far have run into 6 pieces of gristle that I could not eat. The meat seems like dry leftovers from two days ago. Person at the register was nice and friendly. When I asked my wife if she would go there again, it was a flat, NO. First time and last time, that was easy.

We have been supporting all our local businesses for years. So Yelpers everywhere are support local businesses everywhere. So El Mariachi was on our radar to try. Today was the day!! I have been craving menudo for a few weeks but wasn't sure if I would find some as delicious as my moms. Well I had a little doubt but I was willing to try. It wasn't quite my moms but it was darn yummy. My craving has been met! Other family members ordered a breakfast burrito that was great. Maybe not what New Mexican are accustomed to real potatoes diced not hash browns, eggs and cheese all cooked together. Now we know New Mexico is known for some good tortillas and these were some very authentic ones. I'm not positive but I am fairly sure the tortillas were made on site. They reminded me of making tortillas with my mom and abuelita growing up. Finally also was the carne asada which were cooked to perfection. The corn tortillas stayed perfectly warm on our way home. Finally a word on their salsa very very delightful.

Very nice place

Cedar Crest holds a gem! El mariachi is a fantastic little spot to stop for lunch or dinner! Eating indoors or outdoors, the smells of the food only make your stomach more hungry than it was before arriving. Three in our party and we all ordered different items. The food was quick to come out despite having a lot of customers. Everything on our table looked absolutely amazing! I am very glad that we stopped here to eat as it is a place that we will still return! When passing through Cedar crest, you'll want to stop by for sure!

El pastor tacos.
Christy L.

Ordered their all pastor tacos, I must say one side crunchy the other SUPER soggy. The rice taste like instant rice, bleh. Not good at all. The beans were decent. To add the young emo guy behind the counter really RUDE! Zero customer service! Kept walking outside to smoke his e-cig! Cmon it's a restaurant. People are sitting outside! You ask will I return, NEVER AGAIN!

This place is recommended to me by Spears automotive. This burrito is packed with flavor. 5.75 plus tax for a handheld burrito. I am very impressed with the flavor of the burrito and how quick the service was. If you're up in the cedar Crest area I highly recommend you stop here even if you need it to go.

Food is good but online ordering can be tricky and they may not see it. Call in if you can.

I knew Burger Boy from back in the Days of the great Bella Vista, Tinkertown, and etc., etc., along North 14 where I had lived back then. We were told, as we stepped in at 5:40 pm, by a clearly tired, grumpy counter girl, that: 'We are only doing Take Out," to us and the four people that came in behind us. I said, okay, I guess, and went on to order a double hamburger, and a regular burger with fries and drinks. She pointed at the cooler where their canned soda pop was, without another word. We got our 'drinks' and sat down to wait. The staff in the back was clearly miffed that people had shown up for service, too, as we heard stuff getting slammed around along with foul-mouthed whining from them, as we sat there watching and listening to the counter girl picking up and banging the chairs up onto the tables around us. Eighteen minutes later, we got the 35 dollar bag of food from her. The 'sandwiches' were garnished with chopped up lettuce, tomatoes, and onion mixed up in a goopy slather of mayo and ketchup. There was no salt on the fries or anything else on those bland over microwaved burger patties served on un-grilled hamburger buns. Exactly the Opposite of what I had known Burger Boy to be in the past. When I went up to try and return that stuff, the door was locked, and I was completely ignored even with the other four people still in there waiting. We were hungry, and I was done with that stupid place, so we left, and yes, we did eat that wretched meal. Obviously, I will never stop there again, and I will heep scorn upon that cruddy place any every chance I get for the rest of my days.

I was seated right away as they were a little slow when I arrived. Serve was on point and cheerful. I had the Calzone with pepperoni and jalapeños...my favorite combo. I was pleased. Right next to Triangle Grocery on 14. The place was pretty busy when we arrived at 6:30pm but we were seated right away and had great service from our waitress and we even had the owner come around. I had the second street brewery Agua Fria Pilsner, which I hadn't had and REALLY liked it. It is also gluten removed!! Woo hoo! My hubby had the La Cumbra Malpais Stout, which he drinks at home anyway. I ordered the Rueben. Now listen, I LOVE a good Rueben and hate a bad one. Don't we all. This Reuben was the BOMB! Trail Rider smokes their own pastrami and holy cow was this sandwich good! It was tasty! The rye was yummy, the sauerkraut was on point and the meat.... OMG. Listen, I ate the entire sandwich!! And the fries were tasty with enough salt that I didn't need ketchup. My hubby had the smash burger and ate most of it. The rest was lovingly placed in a to go box. We also got the Platinum bar - peanut butter, rice crispies and chocolate and my hubby got the mudslide. Which was Oreos and chocolate mouse and whipped cream. Both were yummy. The service, care and scrumptious food will bring me back. Even from the Westside of Albuquerque because it was that good. Next time we need to try the pizza and the pasta but I will come back again and again for the Rueben. Thank you Trail Rider!!

Upon pulling up I saw a woman loading up her big suburban and going back & forth, she told me to enter the other door. Upon entering holy crap......this place is a zoo & shouldn't even be open for business, NO JOKE FOLKS.... a mess of table chairs, paperwork & misc... this is suppose to be a lovely French Bakery not SANFORD & SON RESIDENCE!!!!!!! She also had in plain view the tip jar with money in it & paper work in the display area with THE SUPPOSEDLY FRESH PASTRIES......YIKERS.... THAT ALARMS ME..... health violation???? ....I was going to take a picture but the owner started to tell me she does alot of events & very busy........ I seriously doubt it, you either have someone run your events and keep your location open for walk in customers. If you can't have operating normal hours with staff and Fresh baked goods regularly on hand as well as have a clean working environment and also mention right away, you only TAKE CASH, sounds like you are very desperate for the dollar these days especially when your business could be Red Tagged........OUCH SORRY BUT HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY...... I'm sure this once thriving business was a gem, BUT CLEARLY NEEDS TO THROW IN THE TOWEL.
