19 minutes agoNEW went to this place and orderd, sat down with my family. A guy sat next to us and started blairing his phones music on blast next to us. I gave him 5 min, thinking it was a one time thing, then i asked him "please dont blair your music, im trying to have a nice lunch with my family" the guy procceded to say he plays hear sometimes and proceeded to pick a fight with my family. The owner came out just before it esclated to the point where we where going to taze him because he was acting violent and talking about how we had to respect him and aggressively screaming at us. the owner did NOTHING. in fact made it aparent that it was ok for there musician to herass my family while we ate. no he wasnt playing, he was just eating and blairing music. The Al Pastor with a bbqed pineapple on top was chef's kiss, was marinated just right, right amount of char, and both crispy crunchy and fatty, paired together with onions and cilantro... I almost forgot I'm in the dead winter of Albuquerque New Mexico circa January 2026. Side note: Going to jot down the soundtrack names that they're playing...Eres Tu by Klazykeroz, Reina Del Amor Wepa; what an experience. So glad I walked in here over Panda. When in Albuquerque!

One thing I've noticed before is that once they realize you don't speak Spanish, the way they treat you can sometimes change. And being Mexican but not speaking Spanish shouldn't suddenly mean you get different service. ‍ The food was just okay this time. My carne asada was warm when it came out, and the meat wasn't as tender or juicy as I remember. There just wasn't anything that really stood out. They do give you chips and salsa, plus a little bit of queso, which is nice. I will say the atmosphere is fun and festive. If you're familiar with Latino culture, you'll definitely recognize the vibe here. It's lively and has a lot of character. Would I recommend it? Normally, yes. But based on this particular visit, I'm not sure. Maybe it was just an off day, or maybe something has changed with the management or staff.
