The only bad thing about Dos Pesos is they are far away from my house. Discovered them when I lived in Belleville 9 years ago and I still go back a few times a year. To begin you get 2 free different salsas; hot and mild. I'm not one for spicy so I stick with the yummy mild. They are quick to bring you more if you eat it all. I always get the bean and cheese dinner combination, with cheese on top. My friend always gets the chicken enchiladas and she loves them. The service is attentive and friendly. I love this place becomes the family that owns it works there and it feels homey there. It's not fancy, it's not recently renovated....It's a place with good food and good service at an extremely reasonable price.

The food was delicious! The waiter we had was totally on top of things. The restaurant is nice. The salsa was really good. We ordered the cheese dip for an appetizer and it was really good just wish it came with tortillas or something. I ordered a fried flour taco dinner. The tacos were really good they could have used more lettuce on them though toppings on the tacos were on the light side. My husband ordered enchiladas which he said were really good too! The drinks were yummy we both got margaritas. We will definitely be back!!!

I ordered three beef soft tacos. I didn't want lettuce instead I chose cilantro. Plus a side of double rice because I wasn't feeling the refried beans. I also ordered a margarita which was good. A little on the sweet side. But it was alright. Overall the food was pretty good. The waitstaff was attentive and nice as well

Excellent food & service. Best Mexican food around. Family friendly, right off of 94 in Belleville. Have been dining here for years.

I really enjoy the taco salad here. The service is quick and it's a very laid back restaurant with booths and table seating.

English is their second language but that didn't stop us from ordering a magnificent meal! I had the burrito while my girlfriend had the empanadas. Both were fantastic! It was hot, it was fresh and I felt like I was eating a local taco shop in Central America. Great find, would not have been possible if not for Yelp. We were in town for the football game and were looking for local food spots as opposed to chain restaurants we can get back home. Check this place out! The food is amazing, don't let the building discourage you.

Thankfully my wife speaks Spanish because her English is definitely limited. There were only two woman working when I ate there. Definite mom and pop vibe. The other people looked Mexican as did the customers who came after me definitely a good sign for authentic food. The drink portion sizes were pretty generous for a small size. The food took some time coming out, my wife enjoyed all three of her tacos. My shrimp taco was good and the corn tortilla was good not overly dry. Two salsas come to the table both were very good. The Gordita was solid liked the lettuce and cheese along with the meat. The thicker corn tortilla goes a longer to fill you up than a taco. Overall a good place, did not blow me away , but solid.

The gratis Chips and Salsa were quite tasty in their own right and what can I say about my Lime Margarita. It was quite large, well made, quite tasty and went down so well with my Taco's and Chips. This drink has a nice amount of Blanco Tequila in it (1.5 oz's) and has an overweight amount of orange liquor and Lime juice that is quite flavorful but overpowers the agave notes of the tequila which was different than what I am used too but I still enjoyed it and was a nice change up to what I normally drink. Staff was super friendly with prompt service and great follow up throughout. I literally got my chips and salsa within a minute of sitting down which is quite impressive. The restaurant itself is visually very appealing where it has nice Mexican decor throughout, adding a lot to the overall dining experience and a great view of the bar which also is visually quite nice. Overall I was quite pleased with my initial dining experience here where the taco's in particular were some off the best I have had in the Metro Detroit area. Even if you dont live in the area, which I don't, you should consider this restaurant the next time you are in the area or headed to Metro Airport which is 5 minutes away. You will not be disappointed.

The staff was very helpful with taking our order. We ordered drinks and they brought out the Chips & Salsa, the chips were nice & crispy and the salsa was pretty good. I ordered a Malibu Bay Breeze cocktail which was very delicious and it definitely tasted tropical. My wife had the Agave Margarita which was huge in size and it was very good as well, the tequila wasn't over bearing. We then ordered guacamole as an appetizer and then ordered our main course, I had the Enchilada Dinner and the wife had the Wet Burrito Dinner, when the food came out the presentation alone was very impressive, now the food itself, My enchiladas Beans and rice were all AMAZING. It had tons of flavor and many options for hot sauces, the meat was tender and the sauces on everything were very good, it was a very fulfilling dinner, it was so much I had to bring some home cause I couldn't eat it all. I would definitely come here again.

After taking our order the food comes out very fast. The quesobirria was outstanding perfectly tender meat the dipping consume was outstanding which means their Birria stew is probably very good. The rice and beans were excellent. The California burrito was excellent, fries perfectly crispy, Asada was very good. Also a very pleasant surprise is they give complimentary chips and salsa, which given economy/inflation is becoming more rare in Mexican restaurants. Both salsas were excellent the red is a spicy smoky flavor. The salsa verde is tangy and mild. Inside has the Latin vibe but you can tell they took over a 50's style diner so gives the overall feel an interesting vibe. Will definitely eat here solid food good prices good service.

The wet burrito was great and my husband enjoyed the variety of tacos he ordered. The second time we came, there were many slices of the onion skin in one of my tacos, which were far too tough to be chewed. This time there was a bone the size of a small cube of meat hidden in the middle of the al pastor taco and I bit it so hard I feared that I chipped my tooth. (I didn't.) I also was very disappointed with the al pastor taco because there was no pineapple flavor and certainly no pieces of pineapple. It tasted like salt with a few other spices, and I would not order it again. The asada taco was fantastic, cooked perfectly, and would also be a great choice for a burrito. My husband said his shredded chicken enchiladas were ok, but nothing special. We both think the beans and rice at El Castillo is wonderful. The same server/cashier is always working and is super friendly. They have dine in as well as carry out. If you want to eat there, you can sit anywhere you'd like in the large dining room, but know that it's not fancy (which doesn't matter to us) and is always cold (which is a bummer in winter). I hope you have a great experience and the food is stellar.
