I just happen to come across this restaurant on yelp read a couple of the reviews shared it with my husband who is a brisket lover! And he said let's go try it out well it did not disappoint. We shared this brisket sandwich and sausage because you know we got a sample first, and we'll definitely be back. I was very impressed with the texture, the flavor, and the toasted white bread was a huge plus!! Thank you for sharing your talent with our community!!

My wife's favorite. The BBQ turkey burrito.

I am a meat eater, but my family and my favorite is their Cream Corn! Love their ribs.

Ribs, sausage, Charro beans and Mexican rice!

Absolutely delicious BBQ--don't judge it by the exterior! We ordered the two-meat plate with sausage and ribs, served with Mexican rice (honestly, the best I've ever had) and charro beans that were bursting with flavor. Everything was incredibly well-prepared. We also tried the BBQ brisket and sausage sandwich--my goodness, it was outstanding! The food here is top-notch. Every bite was packed with smoky, savory goodness. If you love BBQ, this place is a must-visit. Now, a heads-up: the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the restaurant was a bit to warm. The A/C seemed to be struggling, and considering we're not even in peak Texas summer yet, that's something the owner should fix ASAP. The heat is no joke! Still, don't let the humble exterior or the indoor temperature stop you--this place serves some of the most amazing BBQ and sides I've ever had. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and give it a try! Oh and the Pan de Campo bread was just as amazing as the meats, rice and beans!!

Two plate brisket and pork ribs with charro beans, flour tortilla, and cream corn. Add a sausage for a total of $30.

There is nothing special about this place which now a days makes it special? Really, this BBQ has a target audience. It's old man barbecue and it does it the best. The sausage is a standard peppered sausage that is peppered forward. The brisket is peppery as well and doesn't have a lot of give but has some. The ribs are their best thing and could probably compete with new age ribs. Their charro beans are okay but their cream corn is really good! This place is what Rudy's BBQ franchise is trying to be. The customer service is great. I would give this a four however the price range seems to mimic a new age barbecue when this place is what minimum barbecue place should try to be. In fact, I had to use there BBQ sauce which is vinegar forward and I appreciate that. However, you know barbecue should never be put on brisket here in Texas but if you are a old man, you don't care about that lol it's a small place but they do have seating in the back. A good place for ppl that want to try BBQ for the first time in Texas and then move up from here. It's a 3.5 but averaging down based on price.

Continuing my effort to try out the best bbq spots in town led me to this place. I've been meaning to visit this place due to its close proximity to my home but never got around to it. The interior is pretty small with a couple of tables set up. There is also outdoor seating. However, I took my order to go. The gent working the counter was friendly. There was a second person working in the back putting the orders together. I decided on the two meat plate. I chose brisket and turkey for my mains. I also added a sausage for a few dollars more. For my sides, I went with potato salad and the rice/beans combo. The final piece was the pan de campo. I had never tried this bread before, so I was looking forward to it. There was a side tray adjacent to the counter which contained pickled serrano peppers, pickles, onions. They also had BBQ sauce, only one option though. After a brief wait my order was ready. After a short drive home, I was ready to dig in. The brisket and turkey were both delicious. I was a little unimpressed by the sides. They were good but I think they could have been better. The pan de campo was great, especially with butter and honey. I really liked the price point for this spot. It was less costly than other spots I have visited. I will definitely be back. It's a real convenience to get great BBQ right down the road.

This place does not disappoint and is the best BBQ joint in San Antonio that we have had so far! Revisited after 6 months, and it still rocks. Love the pulled pork and marbled brisket and the pan de campo is yum! Thank you for another enjoyable experience!

Supporting Local Small Owned Minority Businesses! Turkey - 5+ Brisket - 5 Pork Ribs - 4 Sauce - 4 The turkey is almost magical. Tender, moist and seasoned so well. The brisket (I was told this is what needed to be ordered in Texas with some shade thrown at California) and it was delicious. Nice smoke ring and we'll seasoned bark. Brisket was buttery but not so tender it fell apart, which made for an amazing chew. The pork ribs were tender but some parts are a bit dry and not as well seasoned as the other meats. When I was given the bbq sauce, it boosted the pork ribs in flavor and moisture. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.

This place is amazing! The brisket is so juicy the ribs fall off the bone, and the turkey is smoked to perfection! I had them caterer a few events, and it's a crowd pleaser.

Don't pass on this cute, tiny restaurant with mom and pop feel. We ordered to go at the counter and had a short wait before our food was packaged to go. Brisket is amazing and doesn't even need sauce. It is fall apart tender! Turkey is expertly seasoned and delicious. The sausage is good too. The tacos were quickly devoured by kiddos and they asked for more. The rice and beans are nicely flavored and complimented the meal. All in all, excellent food and service.

Brisket: 0.0 / 5 Ribs: 3.0 / 5 Cream corn: 4.0 / 5 Potato salad: 2.0 / 5 Price of food for the taste and setting of restaurant: 1.0 / 5 Straight to the point, I won't come here again. Worst brisket I've ever had. Ribs and sides were good. If you compare these prices to 2M, Pinkerton's, South, Reese Bros, this place is not worth the visit. I'd only come here if I lived near by and didn't have a car.

This is such a hidden gem bbq spot. It's tucked into a shopping center and the food was pretty good. The people who helped us were friendly. Since it was our first visit, we got a little variety of things to try and liked the smoked turkey, pulled pork, and creamed corn the best.

Place: The restaurant has a small place and they do the order inside and eat outside, there's no table inside. It's only meant for ordering, at the side of the restaurant there's like benches with table like about 4-5 tables. It's pretty clean and comfortable. Service: He's a nice guy and really helpful. We are new in the area and first time at the restaurant and he did a great job walking us through with the menus. Food: The food was really good! The smoke and flavor blends together very well, their dip sauce was something new for us and we like it. I like the brisket here more rather to the one place we went to.

We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Their two self-serve complementary salsas were also fun and creamy. Concha- Delicious and we liked the top of it. Maybe one of our favorite conchas. Elote hot cake - Came out really hot and was delicious. These are only available on weekends. I was tempted to get more but we had lots more food targets on the schedule. Torta with Asada was pretty good too. But the other items excited me more I think. The person at the front also gave us some samples of other taco fillings to try: the fillings of the La Ranchera: Potatoes and pico de gallo in salsa ranchera and also grilled nopales. My husband who is usually not as crazy as me about nopales liked them here. They have mole on the weekends but it's not housemade from scratch. They use premade mole and add some more things to it so we skipped that one. With the aroma coming from the grill and all the recommendations I'd heard, I was expecting a little more flavor and a bigger wow factor. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good, and the charcoal grill definitely adds to the experience. I just found the food itself to be more "solid" than "spectacular." When they drive by they always talk about all the restaurants in this particular area touting how they got everything here, Mexican and then as they drive by "and over there is Chinese Mexican". I mean, by the 6th time it was just kinda annoying. Anyway, the food here was really good. Their prime rib is not like your standard thick cut medium rare prime rib. It's a regular steak. The blackened version is their premiere steak. But we passed. Their shrimp and grits is their most famous dish. I tried it and it was fantastic (and I don't even care for grits) The ribeye was also good. Slightly overdone for medium rare unfortunately m. But good albeit tough to cut as a result. Our waiter never stopped by for a water refill or to ask how the meal was so we had to flag down someone for the water and a steak knife which came when we were almost done eating unfortunately. Pulled up on a Friday late night with my family ordered the standard 5 tacos. They are a bit pricey as well. I ordered the carne Asada and my mother in law ordered the chicken. While it did seem like it tasted good it was super greasy. (TMI coming up) When I woke up the next morning my I noticed my bowels were literally moving the next day, (I counted about 9 times). I felt bloated and everything. My wife even told me that as we were pulling off she witnessed the cook I believe his name is Julio eating some of the product while he was preparing peoples food (the side door of the food truck was open so you could see right in). Funny enough we decided to go back Saturday evening to give them another try, thinking it would be better, BOY was we wrong. I ordered the same order plus charro Beans, elote (corn in a cup) and 3 cans of sprite. This time we took literally one bite and the meat was DRYER than the Saharan desert both the carne asada and the chicken. (Tasted like some reheated old meat or meat that had been made days prior). We were already at the hotel at this point and was infuriated!!! We ended up calling and I believe I spoke to Julio (or whoever the cook is) over the phone. After lying saying that he cooked the meat fresh that day he stuttered I told him aint no way the meat was fresh. He then said and I quote " I cooked the meat "a couple days ago" then said "sorry I burnt it or overcooked it". (Knowing that why would you serve that to me?) I then stated "yes it tasted old period". I requested a refund in which he agreed to. Driving all the way back I brought the food back as well. Julio (or whoever the cooks name is) tried to plead his case to me saying that the meat is fresh and took a fork and tasted the food himself and then tried to offer me the food. I told him "no I don't want to taste it, just refund me please" in which he did. Dishonesty, Not handling food with care, lying. Is something that crosses the line and I won't be back. *Also if the owner is reading this I have the phone conversation recorded and the video evidence to show proof this whole interaction, so do not just glaze over this review* I don't like writing bad reviews, but this one is for sure warranted. Seems like they will dress up the taco and selling you some "old meat" people just be careful and mindful when coming to this taco truck. "The Earths Best Taco" they say... that's a stretch!
