Still stand by that all Better Call Saul fans should visit, but the second time I visited I wasn't impressed with what I got. Something like a mangonada? but the mango sorbet had that frozen icy texture all throughout. Also one day I expected them to be open at 6 pm because of the business hours posted here but they were closed. That was a bummer. Good service though.

My girlfriend and I got funneled into this place due to a lack of time and options. That's unfortunate to say, but in all honesty I'm glad it happened. Otherwise, my chances of ever trying this spot, were most likely a zero. It's a cute little spot off of isleta north of rio bravo a ways. A yellow building with parking along the side. Plenty of parking so come on in! They have a bunch of booths and tables and please sit where you like! The place is very neat and clean too, with a big tv at the end of the room. There were two other tables being waiting on as we came in which is always a good sign to me. We had to wait a bit before service, but turns out the day we make a visit, they were short handed, so the guy waiting on us was also our cook, and would also be our cashier when we were done. Ha! Poor guy! You know what though, he did a good job. The food came out in a decent time and everything had that real homemade flavor too it. We ordered burritos. Asada and a Chicharrone burritos to be exact. They were both served with beans and rice on the side. Althought I am pretty sure it all normally comes in the burrito but he asked us how we wanted it and put it on the side for us. I can't forget to mention the salsa and chips. Chips of course were basic and the salsa looked basic enough, but it has a good flavor and spice to it. We gladly finished the rest of it on our burritos. They service was good, considering the circumstances. The food was good too. I will gladly come back for another lunch trip. They have chilaquiles on the menu, which I been wanting to try maybe I will do it here? Next time, next time my friend.

Better call Saul filmed here! Free salsa and chips. The red salsa is really hot! And really good! Ordered Ceviche & Caldo de Res. Both were very good with very large portions. See the photos. The portions were so huge we needed to go boxes. This is in the heart of Albuquerque south west valley. The real old part of town. The waitress was very nice answering our questions about the food and about the filming. Turns out they install a fake wall by the ice cream counter. That's where Lalo was cooking. Overall a really good experience. I highly recommend.

    Chilaquiles with Red

If you love Better Call Saul, this place is great for breakfast or lunch. Ordered the Chilaquiles... awesomeness. Perfect combo in the morning. Service was very friendly, and she was also very attentive. Loved to see the place filmed for the show, and enjoyed the food, too.

GO HERE!! It's AMAZING!! It's REAL Mexican food. Not chicano, not Tex mex, not Mexican American, it's MEXICAN. It was absolutely delicious. We had shrimp cocktail. Yum! Chilaquiles red... perfect and delicious. Tacos de lengua. SOOOO GOOD. Chips were really really good. Salsa was spicy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

My wife and I recently went to Cocina Azul for a weekend dinner and had a great experience. Even…read morethough we came without a reservation and the restaurant was busy, we were able to get a table in under 10 minutes. Our service was outstanding-food came out quickly and our server quickly and easily was able to accommodate some minor modifications to our dishes. We started our dinner by sharing the guacamole salad, chips, salsa verde, and salsa rojo. The guacamole was rich, fresh, and creamy, and the chips were warm, crispy, with the right amount of salt. The salsa verde was delicious; the salsa rojo was OK. I got the sample platter for my main dish; I particularly liked the brisket taco. I highly recommend going to Cocina Azul if you are in Albuquerque!

We were looking for lunch after arriving in Albuquerque and were happy to be seated quickly when we…read morearrived. We ordered the green chile stew, fish tacos, green/red wet burrito with steak and taco salad with steak. They accidentally brought shrimp tacos instead of the fish, so we got to try those too. Everything was decent. - Green chile stew: good flavor. A little spicy for some. Liked that it was served with a tortilla. - Taco salad: got it with rice and beans. Steak was good. - Red/green wet burrito with steak: Really good flavor. Loved the combo of the sauces. Side of pozole was also delicious. - Fish tacos: the fish was nice and crispy, but I didn't love the cremas, which in my opinion are key to a good fish taco. The papas side was delish. The beans side was a bit salty. The horchata had good flavor but seemed a bit watery. The Diet Coke was good (looks like they recently switched from Pepsi since some of the menus still said Pepsi). The seating area is large. The AC was on a little high -- we had to go to the car for jackets.
