Taquito and taco combo

This was my 2nd time here. I ordered takeout again. This time the portions seemed smaller than the last time. Both times I ordered the same items. It still tasted good though. Prices are good. I will try other items next time.

If you're craving some seriously tasty Mexican food, this spot is a winner. I had the shrimp tacos and carne asada tacos--both were loaded with flavor and cooked just right. The shrimp had a nice kick, and the carne asada was perfectly seasoned and juicy. As if that wasn't enough, I topped it off with some churros, and they totally hit the spot--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just the right amount of sweetness. The service was fast and friendly, and we didn't have to wait at all, which is always a bonus. There's tons of seating, so it's a great place whether you're rolling in solo or with a group. All around, a great experience. I'll definitely be back--and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for solid, satisfying Mexican food.

I have eaten here many times. The food has been generally pretty good. Today, while enjoying some carne asada enchiladas, I bit down on something really hard. It turned out to be the head of a screw!

This was the first time ordering from here and everything was so good! I ordered delivery and everything was packaged nicely, had a great presentation and very tasty. My substitution was accommodated and they also included the hot sauce I had asked for. Chicken quesadilla Potato taquito Chicken dorado taco My absolute favorite thing was the birria taco. I was expecting the typical larger corn tortilla pictured and it came street taco sized. However, there was so much meat for a street taco and it tasted so good! Will definitely order from here again.

Our favorite Northwest Vegas Valley taco shop! We've only tried 3 but since finding El Norte we haven't had a reason to keep searching. Nice sized open dining area with a bar surrounding the center area (no smoking, no gaming). Staff has been friendly and prompt with their attention. We have always ordered to go or called ahead for pickup. Shrimp taco is my favorite. Plump huge fried shrimp and the aioli has the right amount of smoky kick paired with the jalapeños. Birria is tender and juicy and the street tacos are delicious. Taco El Gordo is still my fave but being close to home El Norte is my go to.

I had high expectations for El Norte Taco Shop, but it turned out pretty average. I ordered the street taco combination, portion was very generous...the food wasn't bad, just nothing special, and the meat was noticeably salty. Overall, it's okay for a quick bite, but not something I'd go out of my way for again.

Food was delicious and the staff was friendly. We went in right now around 8:15pm close to closing time and the service was quick. The place is very well kept and clean.

This place is a mixed bag of emotions for me. Some stuff was executed well and others not so much. The food is hit or miss from our experience here. We started with chips and dips. The guac tasted very basic and no different than that of the guac in little cups from the store. The beans and salsa were very good though and the chips were crunchy and delicious. I ordered the California burrito, my girlfriend ordered 3 tacos, and my brother got a quesadilla. I think he had the best entree at the table. The California burrito was flavorful but it had so much grease leaking out of it from start to finish. But my girlfriend's tacos were literally just soaked in grease. I wish I had taken a picture of them. The tortillas were soggy from all the grease they sat in. I'm not sure who was in the back that day but that was clearly their F game. The service was alright. The woman taking our order didn't appear to care if she was there or not. But the food came out quick. The ambiance was very bland and empty. It felt like no care had been taken in designing the inside and it felt soulless. There's far better places to get tacos than this. I don't know what happened but I hope this wasn't them at their best because that makes me fear their worst.

Chicken tacos and grilled chicken burrito were above average in flavor but the prices were too high for the amount of food.

Ask the Community - El Norte Taco Shop

Is there any entree that is gluten free here? Does this restaurant use a shared fryer for things like flour taquitos that would cross contaminate gluten free corn tortilla chips? I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free.

I had the mahi mahi tacos and they were too much for me, in part because they came with three sides, all delicious. My husband had the carne asada quesadilla and enough left over for lunch tomorrow. I tried the lime margarita, also excellent, and we couldn't leave without trying the churros for dessert. The ambience is lovely, with gorgeous decor, comfortable booths, and an excellent Hispanic music playlist. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Big shoutout to our server, Brandy, who knew just when to replace the lemonade, and suggested the excellent street corn. We will be back very soon!

I really like the interior decor which is like a very contemporary and upscale Mexican. They have a variety of table and booth seating and a large bar. Our server, Hunter, was very friendly and attentive. He always ended every interaction with "have fun!" I tried the "el corazon" sangria which was delicious! It had a wonderful, warm flavor with a light hint of cinnamon yet it was still cold and refreshing! A cool tip - each drink comes with a little card with a symbol on it and the drink ingredients. Save this card! At each table is a game board of sorts that offers various prizes as you match the cards on the game board sort of like bingo. We really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we tried the traditional guacamole with vegetables as well. The guacamole was wonderfully cool and creamy and flavorful. For my entree, I tried the chicken fajitas which is served on a steaming platter with various accompaniments. This was also very delicious, and the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. A small side note - it was served with a cous cous of sort, but I think I would've preferred a simple Spanish rice. The chicken portion size also seemed a bit smaller than when we get fajitas at Chili's. I would recommend you get double meat if you want to share. We decided to try the chocolate flan and the fried ice cream sundae for dessert. I preferred the flavor of the flan and the unique textures of the flan which had the jiggly caramel flan part on top of a more cake like chocolate part below. I honestly think the fried ice cream was not too good. It did not taste freshly fried, and the coating was very dry and brittle and hard to eat. I prefer the places that serve the fried ice cream warm with a very bubbly crust that is both crunchy outside and a bit soft inside. This was not that. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the dining experience here! We will probably return and try their weekday "Fajitas and Ritas" special! I recommend Hola!

It was honestly some of the blandest Mexican food I've had, and nothing we ordered really stood out. It also felt a bit like a tourist trap. A simple frozen margarita was around $20, and the menu seemed pretty limited. I've since heard they're mostly known for their giant tortas, so maybe that's what they're best at. The service was fine, but the overall ambiance felt a little off. There was also a noticeable smell throughout the restaurant that made it seem like there might be plumbing issues. Sadly, the nostalgia wasn't enough to make up for the food, and I don't see myself coming back.
