We've had a few events/parties here. Had a blast and the owner is very gracious!

We came late on a Monday night and were treated extremely rudely, and based on past reviews I definitely believe it has something to do with us being a group of women. We were the only ones in there and the owner and his friends stared us down every time we played. He also started the timer as soon as we walked in and said we wanted to play before we even got the table. He came over to ask us to turn down our music (which was so low he didn't notice for 30+ mins) despite us being the only people in there with radio station ads playing. The tables were $15 an hour and cash only which I personally hate considering it's 2026 and I believe it's outdated. $15 an hour felt especially steep when there is no real music, no drinks, no snacks and no nothing but rude service. I've played pool at dive bars in nicer parts of LA at billaird places for $2 an hour. The owner and his friend mocked us as we played in front of them so I would not say it's beginner friendly. Also I previously came here on a Saturday night when it was packed and because there is zero ventilation there is a certain smell that sticks... Overall I would not recommend this place especially if you are a woman unless you are okay with unwelcoming service

I was completely lost trying to find my way over to a nearby venue, looking stressed, when Emmanuel stopped to ask if he could help us. What blew me away was that he was completely off the clock--wearing his backpack and clearly heading out to his car to go home. Instead of just pointing, he went out of his way to walk my husband and I all the way in the right direction and was just incredibly kind and helpful the entire time. Selflessness of this level is such a rarity these days! I'm not a big casino visitor, but the next time I am in the area, I'll definitely be dropping in--if only to play some slots and thank him again. Management, please give Emmanuel the recognition he deserves; he is a phenomenal asset to your team!

Super unprofessional and shady. After the event ended at 11 PM, it took us 2.5 HOURS just to get out. Workers were standing around doing nothing--no direction, no traffic control. The only reason things finally moved was because a cop showed up and stepped in. It was so bad we had time to walk to In-N-Out, get food, come back, eat, and STILL hadn't moved. Total chaos. Never again.

The Asian lady that usually takes the order is wonderful. The older Latino gentleman is also great. Today, I ate here and there seems to be a new guy. Bigger, taller guy, with long hair that was in a tiny bun, and has a goatee. He wasn't the best. He took my order without taking any notes. Initially, I was kind of impressed as he just confidently nodded as I took my order. My main plate came, but the other things that I ordered didn't. I waited sound 5 mins to see if the kitchen was just backed up. So I asked him again, he said ok. I waited again and it still didn't come. He seemed to have been distracted with other tables and talking to everyone . So, I ended up asking the older Latino guy for it and the rest of my orders came out quickly. Then came to paying the bill and asking for a box and a bag. The exact same thing! I asked him a second time for the box and a bag. It never came. At one point, he even sat down on a seat with a person that seemed to be a buddy of his. All this while I was patiently waiting for the things I need so I can get back to work. That was a little frustrating. So, again, I reserved to asking the Latino older man, and he gave it to me right away. Give the older man a raise and a promotion. I hope the Asian lady didn't stop working here. She was great. Can't say the same thing about this new guy that I've never seen before.

The Lincoln House | (Utility Room) - 9/10…read more Hidden in the back of the Lincoln house the utility room is a quaint get away from downtown covina. The speakeasy is unique and even serves full menu of great food! Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9.5/10 - it was very prohibition themed and the menus being price/luggage tags was very fun. Came on a saturday night at 6:30 reservation and it was very quiet with us being the only table most of the evening. The outside restaurant has live bands which can be a little loud. Service: 100/10 - Markley was the bartender and the only one who operates the speakeasy, she's not only the best bartender Ive had custom drinks from, but she also makes each individual product herself. She explained every part of the drinks and ingredients, and even offered to make any kind of drink we'd want if there was nothing on her menu. Drinks: 10/10 - if you like cocktail bars this is it...EVERY drink was a unique in flavor and handcrafted by Markley from steep to serve. house-infused liquors and tinctures- ONE OF A KIND BAR Food: 8.5/10 - all around great some dishes better than others Bread & Butter - 9/10 great toasted sourdough with a garlic butter and the butter was perfect salty-addition. Calamari - 7/10 a little too breaded for my liking with the rings and tentacles being a little dry. Deviled eggs: 7.5/10 interesting they were fried, but had great flavor all over Mongolian Beef: 8/10 very good flavor, and rice was tasty, but the sauce was a little salty. Cajun chicken pasta: 9.5/10 chicken was tender, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was delicious, and the sausage was a great addition. I'd easily drive an hour from LA again to come here!

Energy goes way up with it though. Music is consistently great and the crowd matches it. Mostly a younger, high-energy vibe. If you actually want to enjoy your drinks and maybe chat with the bartenders, show up early. Once it gets going, it's all motion and noise. It's never disappointed us. You kind of know what you're signing up for, and it delivers every time. Ambiance leans classy without feeling vintage. Dim lighting, a touch of rustic, and just enough polish to set the tone without overdoing it. They've got a patio too, which comes in clutch when you need a breather or want to actually hear the person next to you. We usually do street parking and it's not too bad if you're willing to walk a bit.
