We moved out of area but have recently found ourselves in the neighborhood the last month. We have gotten burritos to go at least 5 times and this place is still the BEST. I always get the Gigante burrito with different vegetarian protein options and Hubby gets the Al Pastor Super burrito. They never lets us down. Great selection, this last time I enjoyed the nachos (sauces available, just ask!) they have plenty of protein options!! They offer a bowl rather than a burrito for us gluten free people! Portion sizes are normal & as expected. The service is always excellent!! This location is cozy & clean. In colder months I'd plan on just pick up because there is room for maybe 5 people inside. Was looking for a more healthy lunch option near my work and tried this for the first time. I appreciated the easy online ordering (can customize how you like it), the nice counter service, and it was easy to park along the curb out front. The space itself is very small, but there are outdoor tables in front. I tried the vegetarian tacos with chipotle tempeh as my protein. Unfortunately did not do it for me-- they were surprisingly bland both in flavor and texture, even after adding the salsas ("mediums" are very mild). The tempeh had little texture or flavor, the grilled onion was barely there, and the tacos were overloaded with iceberg lettuce. Hopefully the meat options are better, I just can't recommend the tempeh at all unfortunately! read more

The reviews on Yelp and Google looked promising so my family and I came here to pick up nine tacos to go. They have all the basic meat staples and nothing more - pollo, carnitas, pastor, asada, maybe there was another one but I can't recall. Each taco is $2 and topped with onions and cilantro with salsa on the side. They don't give you limes here so if you wanted a squeeze of lime, you gotta go buy your own. Additionally, the tortillas here aren't corn, they're flour. The onions here are also cooked. Overall, these tacos were very small and an average person would probably need at least 6-7 to feel full. I got both pastor and asada tacos and couldn't tell what was more underwhelming. The meat on both were dry and flavorless - the salsa verde was OK but could not save the tacos overall. If you had me blindfolded, I'd probably struggle to distinguish the pastor and asada. Maybe tacos aren't the move here. I definitely would not recommend coming here for tacos when there are so many other nearby options. read more

We've come here for pickup orders and have been very pleased. My big thing is nachos and these are really good, fully loaded. The tacos are simple, but the chicken ones are the best - really tender chicken. We've tried the torta and burritos and have never been disappointed. Reasonable prices and food is ready on time. Can't complain about the portions or service. What's even better is that you can get items made vegan without sacrificing because they have many options. We'll be continuing to come here. read more

First time eating El Nutri Taco. I opened my torta and it wasn't cut. If I were at home no big deal but I was not at home. Second thing I noticed, zero limes or salas, what? Seems like two big oversights to me, not a great first look. The food is lightly seasoned, kind of simple. Is it going to satisfy that itch for deep SE Mexican food, no. Does it come close? Kind of? The best part is you don't feel heavy after eating it, I guess? I will give it one more shot and update my review if I have a better experience. This place doesn't look like much, but I tried it based on a Reddit recommendation, and I'm really glad I did. I love that they have vegetarian and vegan options, I love that they have wet burritos, and I love how the ordering system gives you granular control over exactly what you want. They made the burrito exactly as specified. Whereas some burrito places just sort of give you a mashed up glop, here every individual ingredient really shines while also contributing to the total flavor. This is a great choice. read more

I've had this bookmarked for awhile, and I'm so glad we finally stopped in! This place is a veggie lovers dream. It's so amazing that you can go to a restaurant and have a burrito made vegan, vegetarian or if your into it meat!! And everything still tastes amazing. Self serve bussing and seating. They are lacking on the salsa options and everything from limes to guacamole has a fee. I don't find many vegan friendly spots in southeast and since I live in southeast it's nice to find a place I can access quickly , food is quick, fresh, flavorful and I love that it's not greasy nor salty . I had the fajita burrito and I loved it ! I like that the flavors are not bland and also not over powering. I really enjoyed it! My only suggestion would maybe draining the beans a little more before placing them in the burrito if anything... I really would like the idea of coming back and trying the plates or the tacos! I don't know how this place stays in business. I've only ordered here a few times cause it's close by to where I live. The rice is nearly white with zero seasoning, and the burritos are almost all rice. The tortillas are always dry and stale. No salsa, no hot sauce. I've chalked a lot of stuff up to inflation. Remember when gas cost less than two dollars? And I used to get Otter Pops from the ice cream man for 10 cents a pop. Ten cents! That doesn't even get you a gumball anymore. Anyway, I had bought into this whole -- "you can get a decent meal for less than $10" -- line. Even meals that came from windows of recreational vehicles. While $10 still doesn't seem particularly cheap, I'd accepted it. So today, when we went down to one of the food cart centers and saw burritos on sale for $7, it seemed reasonable. But I didn't have seven dollars in my pocket. I had five. On the way back to my house, I finally... FINALLY!... stopped at El Nutri Taco. I'd passed a million -- OK, well maybe 300 -- times, thinking how funny it was to see a taco cart and deck in someone's front yard, but I'd never actually stopped. Until today. I got a huge basic burrito and a can of pop for $3.50. Three-fifty! One one side of the window, they have an entire color-coded vegan menu. Their food is fresh and filling. They even have a couple of covered tables in an area behind the cart, which kept us out of the rain. And now I have the pleasure of saying, at El Nutri Taco, you can get a decent meal for less than five bucks. Five bucks, friends. Color me sold. read more

VERY VEGAN FRIENDLY... But... Good luck catching them when they are open. This location closes down frequently during posted OPEN hours. Be it warm weather, cold weather or 'family emergencies', they are frequently not open when I show up to eat. Do yourself a favor and call them before going there. There is currently a huge amount of construction on site... Don't expect a quiet meal if you plan to sit on their property to eat. Bottom line - It's a food cart parked in the driveway of a residential property on the south side of Woodstock a couple blocks east of 82nd. There is no indoor seating, of course, but there are several picnic tables, some of them covered, if you want to eat on site. UPDATE... i'm so very disappointed. This place was one of my favorites. I really enjoyed their nachos but... They've started using a thin strip like chip in their nachos and by the time you get them home it's all just a soggy horrible mess. Picture pepper butts and stems. The beans don't even taste fresh anymore they're more like something out of a can and I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of their produce was as well.
