Being pretty new to the Fallbrook area, I was excited to try El Parque. Driving by, the lure of a historical stage stop, and 14 beers on tap made it, a must try. When I checked out recent reviews it seemed they were on the rise for good quality and great value. We ordered a couple of beers, a burger, and nachos. The burger was solid and better than expected but the fries were not fresh. The nanchos ingredients were good but the dish was layered haphazardly with just a hint of cheese. Nachos without enough cheese aren't really nachos are they? The beer selection was great. I was happy to see my favorite beer; the one Hazy IPA I drink at home all the time was on their menu. That would be the Madewest Hazy IPA from Ventura. It was flat and tasted old maybe the keg was old, or the CO2 was low. Maybe the dishwasher rinse on the glasses was not working properly, but it had no head and did not taste good. Our server never came back to the table to ask if everything was good, so we finished what we could, not the beers or the fries. I went in to complain and my concerns were met with a, Ohh, I'm sorry. Since moving to Fallbrook a few years ago, we've driven past here a few hundred times but, never stopped in for a bite. Just recently, my wife kept reading the accolades of El Parque on a local social media thread, so here we are. The food ... We ordered a cheese burger w/sweet potato fries, Fish-n-chips and rolled beef taquitos. Of the 3 items, I would recommend the Fish-n-chips. Crispy, flakey and cooked to perfection. I would definitely order this again. Cheese burger was thick and cooked to medium - as requested. Sweet potato fries were above average - thick and crunchy. Good value at $6.99 Taquitos .... For us, it was a miss. No crunch, meat was plentiful but chewy and flavorless. The guacamole did help a little. Parking can be challenging. Plenty of tables and chairs are provided for outside dining and service staff are on point. read more

The food is so delicious and so are the margaritas! The homemade tortillas they use for the burritos were so yummy, tasted so authentic like my nana used to make. Loved the outdoor seating too. It felt we were in the mountains. read more

I'm giving this establishment 3 stars because the first time I came here in 2021 I had a pretty good experience. Came in the evening, my tacos were delicious and it was pretty slow. Fast forward to today, Father's Day. Arrived and it was pretty empty! Lucky us! We ordered inside and waited at our table for our food to arrive. My family ordered on two separate tabs, so my order arrived 8 minutes earlier before the rest of the table. Out of courtesy I waited till everyone at the table had their meals before I dug into mine. I'm not complaining about my cheese enchiladas being cold, because I waited. But I am complaining about the quality of my food. When I cut it open to eat the cheese wasn't even melted on the inside. Granted I could have brought it back to correct, but I didn't want to delay our family dinner with my issue. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal, so that's a good thing. Three stars because my first experience last year was great, and everyone else at my table today seemed to really like their meal. I used to work in Fallbrook and ate at this place on at least a dozen occasions, but failed to leave it a review. I got a hankering for some Mexican "fast" food and remembered El Parque, but it was to far to drive just to fulfill that spontaneous desire. However, I felt the need to leave a quick review. Those dozen, or so, trips primarily consisted of burritos (carne asada, carnitas and beean & cheese) and tacos (always shredded beef). I can not recall one time not enjoying my food. The employees were always friendly. That and the food made the visits worthwhile (it was a little out of the way for me). I look forward to visiting again in the future, but if I do not - job well done (in the past)! read more

The food at this restaurant is pretty good, esp the birria, but the service really sucks, and as others have mentioned the sides continue to come out cold. All they would need to do is hire wait staff, ditch the counter ordering; fire or retrain the cook staff, and actually care. Running a restaurant is not hard, but it does take constant check-ins and refinement. Additionally, the restaurant could open up the wall to the bar and start serving drinks outside. This would create a more inviting and comfortable atmosphere for customers, and it would also help to increase sales. Our 5th time here where we've heard people say the same things you read here as well as watched a few people leave each time because of the slow service. It's hard in a small town for patrons because the businesses don't have to work hard to get your business when there are limited options. I really hope they tighten things up because it's a beautiful and promising location. read more

I was loving this place, but last few times in food was way overcooked. Wine was extremely warm maybe 90f. Place was dirty. Tables needed cleaning. Trash on floor. What is going on? Hope they bring back someone to take charge and run the place. I heard z cafe owns this and if so, they need to clean it up. read more

Why have I not reviewed El Parque before now?? I have eaten here at least 10 tines with friends, relatives and Sola. We have had take out and eaten at their outdoor tables. The decor is unique and relaxing. The food is fantastic, delicious and they have good portions and prices! We've tried the tacos, burritos, tostadas, fish & chips and nachos. Everyone agreed that the food is great. I have not tried the burgers, or the dinner plates, yet. Check out the menu and find so many other good dishes. They have indoor and outdoor tables. They also have a good beer selection and all the usual sodas and good black tea. Parking can be limited, so get there early for lunch and and dinner. Terrible Carne Asada burrito. Have some pride on how you roll your burrito up. I got halfway through my burrito and my first thought was "where's the beef". I even ordered it without rice to avoid a bunch of filler in the burrito. It was beans, cheese, pico, and Carne Asada.. As it turns out at the bottom of the burrito was a spoonful of Carne Asada. Huge let down as their food is usually at least average good. Nothing crazy good but this was a real bummer. Yes the quantity was an issue, but it was some of the worst Carne Asada. I have had in recent memory. It's convenient and we live close but I ended up eating half of my wife's burrito and putting this one in the round file. read more

We went to El Parque tonight at the recommendation of a friend. My husband and I both ordered chili relleno plates. The beans were bland and the chili relleno is quite honestly the worse I have EVER had! (So bad, I just threw it away). Look at my pictures please. It was small, no cheese inside and hard and dry. I am not sure how it could be made so badly. Maybe it was old, cooked until it dehydrated or ?? The hard shell shredded beef taco is reminiscent of the old Jack in the Box tacos. Was in the area and saw this small restaurant decided to give it a try. Their food was delicious, made to order everything was fresh. Loved their chips and guac. The guacamole had the perfect amount of lemon in it. We ordered a chicken rice bowl and a 2 crispy taco combo. Definitely will keep this place in mind the next time we are in the area. read more

I recently visited here from Arizona and seriously this was one of the highlights of my visit. It's not so much about the food as it was (for me) about the environment. It was a beautiful perfectly mild yet sunny day in Fallbrook. After a brief hike the hunger set in. I'd always admired this establishment from the road snaking through the town but never ate there until this visit. We ordered quickly and picked a nice table outdoors. I had the taco salad with chicken and there wasn't a lot of chicken to be had. My brother--in-law ordered a burrito and it was huge and looked delicious. My sister had a taco salad with pork. In addition, my sister enjoyed a delicious looking margarita which she found was made with Saki! Odd but she said it was delicious. It looked pretty darn good! The restroom is weird. It was clean, but be sure to lock the door in the hallway which leads to the potty! When you gotta go, you gotta go. :) Service here was great with friendly smiles and interactions. I found this little jewel on my way home from San Diego. A few miles off of I15 a remote little restaurant that by the looks of it is likely very busy on the weekends. I'm in luck that it's rather empty for a Friday afternoon. I ordered the Chile relleno and a large Jamaica. Service so far has been super hospitable and I got to practice my Spanish. Menu is very diverse and above typical for a small Mexican joint. Delicious food. Must stop if ever in the area. Buen Probecho!!! read more

The bean-cheese-rice burrito is apparently all this place can do well. I get the taco salad WITH chicken, once ONCE did I get chicken. The fish burrito and fisch tacos have fish, but nothing else (no cabbage or tartar sauce). Yesterday I ordered a carne asada burrito..and got a beans and rice burrito. read more

El Parque is my family's go to place for a quick bite to eat. It is conveniently located next to Live Oak Park making it a perfect combo for a time out of playing and then grabbing a quick bite. Out of all of our visits here, we had never had any problems with the items that we ordered until today. My wife ordered the 5 rolled tacos combo (3 chicken and 2 beef) but the chicken was disgusting. It smelled and tasted expired. We had to exchange the dish twice with the kitchen before we had the ordered changed to beef only. Nonetheless, the food and beer here is amazing. I am only giving two stars because the ambiance is still great at this rustic spot in Fallbrook. Unfortunately the food has become inedible and the service was insanely slow. It wasn't busy and yet it took almost forty minutes to get a couple burritos and some chips. The carne asada was dried out and tasted days old-gross and only ate a couple bites. I have to agree with some concerns about side dishes arriving not hot enough, however I was told another restaurant bought this establishment recently as since that time I found the food to be excellent! At least the fish tacos and the cheeseburger were fantastic and plan on going back to try other menu items. The employees are very courteous and friendly. I went yesterday with my boy's to happy hour and oh my gosh! The restaurant was extremely hot , I would say 130° degrees INSIDE the restaurant, The employees were sweating like crazy. This is illegal in the State of California, Anybody working above 82° legally can leave work , No body deserves to work in those conditions. Still has great affordable prices, but the quality has changed dramatically. Taste complety different from years ago.

This place can get a little busy but the good part is next to a park. I have opportunity to eat this location and I won't regret getting delicious tasty watery barbecue hamburger it was the most amazing Burger that I have tasted. We love El Parque ! We don't live in the area, but everytime we go to Temecula, Rainbow to pick berries to do a day trip, this is where we stop ! We love eating outside watching the cars go by, ambience is perfect. The food is always so fresh, & affordable. They have a good selection of beer and wine, and there is an abundance of outdoor open air seating which is great for dogs!
