My family and I eat here quite frequently and it is one of our favorite restaurants! The only negative experience we have ever had is that one of the waiters brought a refill and touched my straw to move it to the new cup with his bare hands. I'd rate them higher, but they are inconsistent. About 75% of the time, the food is about as good as any Mexican food in the greater Pittsburgh area. But, the other 25% you get a meal that shows nobody working that day gives a sh*t. read more

If you read my other posts I tell it like is; good, bad, and ugly. Pet peeve is I really don't like bad sevice but hate lazy service even more (not clearing the table, asking to pass dishes/utensils at a table, bringing out appetizers with entrées, etc) This place is by far the best overall restaurant in Chippewa. The waiters and host are always friendly, attentive, and polite, The food is consistently good and we haven't had a bad meal yet from their extensive menu. OK so I will complain about one think. Basically run-of-the-mill Mexican joint for this part of the country. Good atmosphere, the owners are extremely nice. It is nothing amazing, but it is worth a try. The salsa and chips are very good. Stay away from the combination platters they aren't worth the money. Go with the pork. read more

We really enjoyed this place. Good food and descent atmosphere. I ordered the chimichangas and they were delicious! Had guacamole as a topping on the platter (which I love), and it was clearly made fresh. We took 3 little kids and it was definitely kid-friendly. We visited yesterday. Tables were crammed together so close we were almost touching shoulders with other diners. Waiters were pushy and rude. The chips were tasteless and salsa way too hot. They served my shrimp fajitas and there was no shrimp! Could not get a waiter to ask where the shrimp was and 5 minutes later they show up with the shrimp and fried onions. 3 flour shells that were so small you couldn't possibly put the shrimp and onions and extras on the shell. Waiters seemed to be rushing us to finish. I asked to try the fried ice cream and the woman huffed and picked up the bill she had tossed on the table. I wish I would have never asked, the fried ice cream was awful. My wife was sick most of the night from her entree. I have never written a review before but after a first time visit at this restaurant I have to comment on the rude behavior of our waiter. Instead of offering helpful menus suggestions, he said to me you are taking to long and left. The food was the typical Mexican you can get in this area of the country so my suggestion is to skip this restaurant and go to another for Mexican where they don't treat their customers with disdain. El Paso was one of our favorite restaurants when they first opened at their old location, but since moving to darlington road and also opening several other locations, their quality has really dropped. The food also arrives within minutes of ordering, making me wonder exactly how fresh it's made. At first I was overwhelmed by the the size of the menu, so I asked the waiter for his assistants and he brought me a meal that to die for. The service was five . I've been here numerous times but today will be my last. My family and I were sat right away which we thought was great. UNTIL! 4 different parties were sat after us and had their drink orders taken and food orders. After 30 minutes of no server, we asked a server if he could find out if we had one and were called rude. I'm sorry, but after 30 minutes of being sat and no one comes to your table, you get a little frustrated. And then, once he took our order we were happy that someone was taking the time to serve us. Another 30 minutes went by and drinks empty we got frustrated again. Asked for our food to be in Togo containers to find out serve talking in Spanish, not knowing I speak Spanish, and how our food was going to be spit into. Well, we went here on Yelp reviews, and regret it. Husband had a "chili relleno" that looked like a mushy pot pie. We were told later that we should have asked for "authentic" rellenos! Who does that?? My taco salad has a thick layer of waxy white cheese, son's quesadilla was waxy, greasy, went uneaten. Chicken fingers for other son were more chicken nugget than recognizable meat. i came here too eat with my family the server we had was horrible.. first of all he didnt know the menu.... we all gave him our drink orders there was 5 of us i ordered a tall dos xx amber.. it was never brought out.. i asked him when he came over to take our order and he yelled at me to wait... wow not only that our whole order came out wrong!! every one ordered fajitas with chicken steak and shrimp all of them came out with carnitas at that point we didnt tell him anything because he was very rude... his name is carlos. my niece and nephew wanted fried ice cream and he brought the check we told him he said he didnt have any more and maybe like 5 mins later he bought out a fried ice to a booth in the in the corner gave them the ice cream and sat down with them.. the only reason i gave this restaurant 1 star is because i couldnt go any lower just a horrible experience.. and i never received my beer ans he still charged me for it.. me and my family were amazed how this server is working there at all he has no customer service skills what soever and he yells at customers... ive heard from other friends that he has yelled at them aswell... im never going back to this horrible place... all im going to say is i worked there before and i quit because his people skills are horrible he kicks out customers yells at them makes all employees fight among themselves!! carlos should not be allowed anywhere near a restaurant!!!! read more

Only been here once that's why I'm giving it only 4 stars. I don't know maybe my next visit could be shitty? I don't know. I doubt that. I had the quesadilla rellena which was pretty good. Everyone at our table loved the food which came out super fast. I just wish the salsa was spicier. We asked for the spicier salsa and that want spicy either.
