I've been to El Pique a few times maybe 5-6 I get the same thing basically the lamb consommé and a lamb(barbacoa) burrito...today I got the same plus a diablo pollo (chicken) burrito...Bella Mar got the torta...and taquitos let's go down the list of problems.... 1. They spelled torta.... "Torto" 2. They forgot her taquitos totally 3. Everything except the consommé was cold 4. The consommé had little to no meat or chickpeas like it was the end of the day and I got what was left 5. The barbacoa burrito was all rice and cheese and maybe 1/2 an ounce of meat (also cold) 6. Friggin delicious!! Yes indeed, I'll be driving to New Castle whenever I want Mexican food. I came here because I had just finished getting my hair done in the area and I was starving. I had tostados with seasoned chicken (you can get them with any protein). The portion size was nice and big for the price-you get three of them and they're large. This location is just as good as their Wilmington location! Ordered the 3 tacos special with lamb, lamb consume, yellow rice. Wow!!! The tacos flavorful, the lamb consume was wonderful and also full of flavor. And to top it off, had a bangin churro. All under $20 guys. If you're going to go to El Pique, go to the one in Wilmington. The one in New Castle is NO WHERE as good as the one in Wilmington. Between the miserable lady behind the counter who was very disgruntled to be having to do her job and the incredibly mediocre tacos - I will not be back to the New Castle location. Great tacos and good hot sauce. Only problem I had is that they charge extra to take hot sauce to go. Rivera taco express is by far better than this place if you want more bang for your buck. If you get food to go beware of the plastic wrap they use on everything, that's my warning to you. The beans are bland (as if out of a can) and the rice is okay. They have horchata and the Jamaican purple drink. Place is clean and organized just wish I didn't have to pay more for hot sauce. Staff is friendly though! read more

I love love love this place. I've eaten here at least 2-3 times a week since they e been here in New Castle. I'm obsessed with all things El Pique! I even had my sisters bridal shower food catered by them!!! The tacos were a big hit with all who had the chance to get one, for they were gone in a flash!! I even have my coworkers eating here. So glad this taqueria opened just minutes from my house. Being from the SF Bay Area, I grew up going to taquerias in the mission. I moved to the East Coast (Washington DC, New Jersey and Delaware) having never experienced found a taqueria that could live up to the ones back home. I am currently working my way through the men and had so far have had carnitas, meat mix, farmers cheese, and beef angus tacos, mixed meat bowl and the churros. All were all very tasty. My only slight disappointment was the horchata as it was a bit too sweet for me (thus the 4 Star rating). I am so Happy El Pique has arrived in New Castle. They will be seeing a lot of me. read more

My family and I were on a road trip to Florida when our car broke down in the Delaware area right next to this restaurant. After the car is fixed we eat here, and it was freaking amazing! We got the L Pastore taco, with extra cilantro and the farmers cheese. Even the chips and salsa were Mason! It was a wonderful way to close out a very stressful day. We walked in to order take out and it was awesome. They greeted us immediately and they were so pleasant. They offered a sample of the lamb stew, which was delicious. The food came out quickly. We ordered the seasoned pork and chipotle chicken tacos with rice and they were great. The spice level had just the right amount of kick while letting the other flavors shine through. The tacos are sooo good! And very reasonable. The place is basic but the food certainly makes up for it.

Best tacos in Delaware! Hands down. Love the al pastor and suadero. Always great service as well!
