It's going to be a NO for me. They didn't have much options for pescatarian/non dairy people. Everything had to have cheese on it. I got the shrimp taco bowl, shrimp tasted fishy so I just ended up eating the salad with the beans and drenched the whole thing in hot sauce. I also got a chicken taco, vegetarian taco and a chicken and cheese empanada to go. Idk why they insist on putting mounds of cheese on everything! In the New Castle Farmer's Market. Food is great, authentic Mexican food. Only open Fri-Sun. I mostly eat lunch here. Tamales are Sat-Sun only. I've never had a bad lunch here. Don't expect cloth napkins. If the dining room is packed, expect the kitchen to be hopping! Things might take a minute. But they will always get my $$$. The portions are big and the prices are low. Try the Mexican corn with everything! The enchiladas I had today were flavorful and the waitress suggested salsa verde instead of rojo. read more

Where do I start? I love this place! I go to new castle farmers market to shop for my produce and always have to stop here. I've been coming here regularly for about 5 years and I've never been disappointed. Some of my favorite dishes are their enchiladas verde, steak taco, delicious corn (always a long line for the corn), chilaquiles verde, fajitas general, the list goes on! Authentic Mexican food, none of that Tex Mex BS. Food takes a while to come out but it's worth the wait. I wish they were open outside of the farmer markets hours (fri-sun ony) so I can visit more. This place was better than I expected. I had two things that were incredible, one I ordered and the other got brought to me by mistake but I didn't have to pay for it. Now what I ordered was The Quesadilla Zapata (Skirt steak with caramelized onions, green peppers, with rice, sour cream and beans). The quesadilla itself had a rub seasoning on it, the beans were really good and the steak was cooked perfectly. The other order they gave me by accident (and gave to me for free without hesitation). I don't know what it was called, but it was a shrimp and steak burrito that had a queso glaze on it. That flavor was ridiculous. Both of these were some of the most authentic food I ever had in Delaware. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavor was perfect. I would definitely recommend Los Jarritos. read more

Ok so to start of the service is terrible with a wait to get a table you and when there's finally a table they give it to the newest party you won't get a table unless you go and sit in the newest open table and then when they take your order they give you a fake smile and happy auditude and then the wait for the food is unbearable and when you get the food you can get hot food or stone cold food if you get hot then it's a ok food but if u get the ok cold food they make all over again but seriously you be better of at the ihop the wait is shorter and food is better and always hot so yea read more

Nice place and one of the best mexican cuisine we've had at a decent price, we have been to La Tolteca on Concord Pike, and Tolteca express food was not so good and we even got sick at La Tolteca Express, not to mention the horrible margaritas they prepare. At any rate, there is an average wait at Jarritos, but the place is usually pretty busy and the food is being prepared/cooked fresh on the spot, so waiting is not a problem for us, we actually prefer to wait, the trade off is great/fresh food. It's always a good sign (in my opinion anyway) when you go to a Mexican place and it is being frequented by actual Hispanic people. Los Jarritos showed a lot of promise for this reason when my coworkers and I stopped to eat during a trip to the New Castle Farmers Market. After waiting about 10 minutes a waiter never came so we went and asked for one. We were just about to give up when they finally came over to us. We ordered our food and then had to wait probably another 30-45 minutes for the food to be ready and they ended up putting the wrong kind of meat into my friend's burrito and had to take it back. She had to wait another 15-20 minutes for the replacement. In all we probably were at the restaurant for nearly 1.5-2 hrs just trying to eat some quick food. The food itself was good, although nothing that blew me away. The waiter was very nice but obviously overwhelmed. I would not go back! read more
