    Happy Birthday, Luis!

I ordered exactly what my friend ordered because when the server described what it was, I knew I'd sit there with jealousy if I didn't get it myself- this was the Lomo Combination. It was such a wonderful dish. I need to come back here just for this more often. It has a bean base gravy with all my favorite ingredients such as red onion, tender beef, green onion, tomatoes and rice. I also had this bright yellow drink called Inka Soda. The whole experience made me feel like I was in another country since I don't ever eat Peruvian food. (This is such a mistake on my part.) The ladies serving us were very pleasant and attentive.

Obsessed with their soup! Perfect thing to warm you up in a cool or rainy day. The saltado was very colorful and delicious. Don't forget to snag some of the homemade green sauce. Service was smooth. The bill was a little confusing since we had a waiter but many were also checking out at the counter.

We came here as passer byes as we were traveling and were not very satisfied. We order a chicken with fries and salad. The chicken lacked seasoning, the salad had a huge amounts of cores and not fresh, and the dressing was more vinegar than anything. The fry's were a small portion and not enough to go with the chicken. Then we order the fried rice, it was decent but lacked more soy sauce. Overall I was dissatisfied with the quality of the food. We did to go as we showed up right at 8:30pm and it was too late to eat inside. Can't speak much for the people as there was few people there eating and most were to go orders.

Located conveniently off the 405 at Avalon, we found this cute Peruvian restaurant. The portions are sizable and flavorful. There is even a light green sauce served on the side which I didn't think I needed, but actually made it even better. Overall the dish i ordered was wonderful. It was a bit too salty which is why I removed a star. The service was great! I know time of day plays in as it was mid-afternoon, but great nonetheless. Food was out fast. Located within a small shopping center, there was a decent amount of parking when we arrived. Prices are very affordable! They have lunch specials each day with an even better price point.

Terrible. Both of our lomo Saltados came with one tomato each and barely any onions. Rice was Al dente and definitely not cooked all the way. Will order from another location next time

1st time actually sitting down and having dinner with my wife at this location and they had great service, unlike some of the other locations that are now more of a fast food place this location u can have them take your order like a real restaurant. Our waitress was nice and super friendly and the place is nice and clean will definitely be coming back again .

I'm so glad they opened this location so I don't have to go to Gardena. The Peruvian food from this location is delicious! They keep this place clean and I love that you can dine in or take out. I'm always looking for the "A" in the window. As a friend of someone who owns a restaurant I know it's not hard to get a "A". You have to care about your customers, and this place does. Whenever I order by phone or in person they always give good customer service with a willingness to explain the menu to ensure I order exactly what I want. Now on to the food. Flavor, consistency and quality! Just delicious. I normally get Loma Saltado, Saltado de Pollo or Col de Pollo. Today we tried the Pollo Al La Brasa. The chicken was juicy, full of flavor with the skin grilled just right. The skin was crispy without being burnt or tasting burnt. If you like El Pollo Loco you will love this. It's so much better. The star of the show is that green sauce. You can put it in everything even fries. A must try.

Wow! My first time trying Peruvian food and it was amazing. The waitress helped me to order and understand the menu on my first trip, she was so helpful. The food was next level amazing - the house soup, the ceviche, and the lomo saltida. I highly recommend this restaurant!

    Saltado de Camaron.

Pedí un saltado de camarón pero estaba sin sabor y quemado aún así me lo cobraron. No lo recomiendo.

First time here and the food and service were amazing. The Lomo Salado was steaming hot and amazing and greatly pared with chicha morada!

It's an older crowd which is a plus plus with no drama. It's an ok place to get dinner and a night out. 80s music must be updated and don't call it cumbias because it's mostly merengue and salsa which is played on Fridays supposedly. Please do yourself a favor and make sure you read up on the health grade for this location. The fact that they haven't been re-inspected in almost a year is alarming. The order was delayed 45 min and no one even felt bad about it. Get our order and the two whole chickens look suspiciously like one chicken. And they gave us the wrong order and when I called, the guy on the phone says it's basically the same thing. Nope. Chicken is not beef. And when I mentioned the major delay (which delayed our dinner) and the wrong item, no apology. I guess years of loving the place, I approached our disappointment with a light touch but maybe that gave them the impression I was okay with their delay, and their oversight of actually messing up our order. The prices have gone up and the quality and portion size has decreased and while I am slow to share reviews where I express my disappointment, it was such a bummer from a long beloved restaurant that I felt the need to update my 8 year old 4 star review.

The flavours encompassed in the dishes we'd ordered which were the Lomito Saltado and the Aji De Gallina were as authentic here as what we dined on back in 2024 which certifies them as premier purveyors of Peruvian cuisine. Drinks wise, they had Maracuya juice which is their local version of passionfruit in that region as well as Chicha Morada which is their Purple Corn beverage composed of cinnamon, cloves, fresh lime juice and when in Peru, they'll utilize pineapple husks for flavouring. It apparently is more popular in Peru than Coca-Cola and after a few sips you'll inevitably see why. Next up when I return will be the Causa trio, in the meanwhile this establishment comes heavily recommended from someone who has traveled to Peru as they hit the nail on the head with their offerings.

I've had better so I was a little disappointed. The tallarine verde con pollo is a pesto pasta with chicken, Peruvian style. I love the creaminess and very flavorful and hearty pesto sauce in the dish. Noodles were of good texture despite it being very hot in temperature. The sangrias were excellent. Worth the wait? I don't think so…read more After hearing so much hype about this place, I had to see what all the fuss was about. People talk about waiting 45 minutes to over an hour just to get a table, especially on weekends, so I decided to come during lunch instead. Luckily, the place was almost empty, which made for an easy visit. Going in, my expectations were high. Since I'm allergic to shrimp, I let the staff know and ordered the beef bowl and tempura combo instead. At around $20, I wasn't expecting cheap fast food, but I was expecting something that justified the price. The tempura was easily the highlight of the meal. It was light, crispy, and fried well, especially paired with the dipping sauce. If there's one reason I'd give this place any credit, it's the tempura sauce. The chicken tempura, however, was a different story. The coating was crispy, but the chicken itself was incredibly bland. It tasted like plain boiled chicken that happened to get dipped in tempura batter. The beef bowl was even more disappointing. Honestly, it reminded me of a Yoshinoya beef bowl--except it cost more than twice as much and came with a noticeably smaller portion. That's a comparison I never expected to make at a restaurant with this kind of reputation. The service didn't do much to elevate the experience either. Considering how slow it was during lunch, I expected a little more attentiveness, but it felt pretty average from start to finish. As for the atmosphere...it was fine. Nothing particularly memorable, nothing that made me think, "I need to come back." Maybe I ordered the wrong items. That's always possible. But based on this visit, I just don't understand the hype. The food was decent--not terrible--but nowhere near worth the long waits, the price, or the reputation it seems to have built. If you happen to be nearby and there's no line, sure, give it a try. But if you're planning to wait an hour because everyone says it's a must-visit, I honestly think you can skip it and won't feel like you missed out. Buyer please be aware.
