Went over to had dinner after visiting mostly their Carson location. Had their lomo Saltado, My usually, but unfortunately the quality, taste, and portions have changed tremendously. The wait time was extremely long for a restaurant that wasn't too busy (at least from what I saw) We waited about an hour for our food and when it got to our table is was completely cold. I was too hungry that I did not bother to ask them if they would warm it up for me. My mother had their margarita but that too wasn't good. This location is different than your typical pollo inka. I imagine it was originally meant to be an only take out location but they added a few tables to accommodate people who wanted to dine in. Hence all the tableware, plates, etc are disposable. Very wasteful overall. But hey, if you are craving Peruvian food, specifically pollo inka Peruvian food, the quality is there. Just don't expect restaurant ambiance. I wasn't expecting it to look like the inside of a five guys burgers and fries when I went my first time. I paid restaurant food pricing for fast food take out aesthetic. But damn I love me some lomo Saltado. read more

I am so happy this place is in Carson. I was waiting for a couple years for it to open. I love El Pollo Inka. Their chicken is awesome. But the things I enjoy most are their soup, their Saltados, their Chaufas, and their Plantains. I go extra juicy with the Saltados. Not all El Pollo Inkas are created equal. I've noticed some have more flavor than others. This one is one of the good ones. Parking can be tricky because the lot is small but the demand is high. Service was nice and quick. There is an inside dining area with a big television. Great lighting and lively staff. I'll definitely be a regular here. read more

Called during their soft opening today for a to go order. Was told 10-15 minutes for it to be ready. We gave them a bit of extra time just in case. It was ready when we got there. Not much parking in the lot. I parked in a spot I wasn't supposed to since I knew we were just paying and grabbing the food. -Lomo combinado. Beef was over cooked. 3.75/5 -Chaufa de pollo, no green onions. 4/5 -Picante de mariscos. Much spicier than I'm used to for Peruvian food. It was a bit hard to eat since it was so spicy. I liked it though. 3.75/5 -All came with the soup and side of the green sauce. I wish it came with a piece of bread too. Pricing was cheaper than the listed pricing online from their instagram account, so that was a nice surprise. I think it was about $2-3 cheaper each dish. First time at this Pollo Inka location in Carson on 11/17/24. This location is smaller than the other location we've been to. The staff are very friendly and nice. The restaurant was clean and so were the restroom. We ordered the usual, lomo saltado for the kids and mariscos saltado for me which is a seafood version. I do agree with the other reviews that the protein is less and they pack the plate with fries and onions. But the lomo saltado beef at this location is better, more tender and not over cooked like the other locations. My kids order that same thing every time we dine in so they know the difference. My mariscos was also less. The portion here isn't as full as the other locations but the ambiance at this location is more preferable for us. We always enjoy the soup and bread at the beginning of our meals. We were seated right away with no wait. We will definitely be coming back to this location. They are located in Carson across from the mall with parking available. read more

Soup and rolls are served with your meal.. Perfection! Each bit was as tasty and flavorful as the next. The servings are great, I had to take the other half of my plate to go. The purple onions, tomatoes, and green onions were all sautéed and seasoned to perfection. No additional seasoning required! The Aji Verde was well balanced and portioned. Not too spicy and not too mild. Drizzled it over the entree and mixed everything up. Mmm, I got almost everything in every bite. You start off with their complimentary signature cup of this green rice soup and bread, was very good. On the table you have this delicious spicy tangy condiment that I wanted to spread on everything. Found the menu a little confusing to follow due to its structure and illustration but then understood the concept so make sure to ask the server if you have any questions. Our server suggested their popular dishes with the chicken. The chicken is their specialty and it's really tender, juicy, moist and flavorful. The garlic rice was also good but not as garlicky as I expected. Had the Combinados with chicken - the sauce and base were great and also the Vainita with chicken which was a little more dry and plain.
