I would say that the kids meal is the best bang for your buck and it's filling for me. It comes with 2 drumsticks, a side, tortillas or chips and a drink. I'm sorry I have to write this review but it is not the first time it's happened. Went last night to get a family meal. The service was fine although it did take some time but it didnt bother me, considering what time it was. I went around 8pm. I ordered my 3 Sides with the 12 piece. Mash potatoes, Mac n cheese and street corn. I'm not this type of person but please be careful when taking the Mac n cheese out of the bag, my 5 year old daughter could have swallowed a long piece of plastic. Cashier was rude. Not just to me, to everyone she/he (with a nose ring) waited on that did not order off of the self help screen. I notice that several of the cashiers are pushy in trying to get folks to use the self help screen when I come here, maybe it's a corporate push, but there is no need to be rude. So I've been coming here off and on, and I do have to say the service and food have improved. I did a mobile order and it was ready when I arrived. I was greeted and thanked by the staff. I ordered the new burrito grillers. It came in a cute festive box. Inside was one chicken and one beef, along with chips and dipping sauce. The dipping sauce wasn't that great, not much flavor other than Brothy. So I chose not to eat it after one bite. The beef burrito griller was my favorite of the two. Tender meat with cheese, filling for sure. The chicken I think had thigh meat in it, which was ok. Next time I would get just beef. I noticed they have remodeled the inside and it appeared much cleaner than previous visits. I will be coming back more since my last 4 visits have been great. Keep up the good work!! read more

I'll start with the good. The person at the drive thru counter offered me a free drink because I needed to pull up to the waiting area for my order. Other than that...terrible. The (different) person when I placed me order (Feb 11) seemed like she was disturbed when I needed clarification on the new crunchy taco if $3.49 was for one or 2 tacos. And then when I got home I noticed we ordered flour tortilla but had corn tortilla. And then as you see in my attached video the gravy was watery. I believe this location might need some new card readers or registers. the food is fine (when they have certain items in stock) but my only issue with this place was that 4 out of the 5 times I came here they had issues with their card reader especially if you try to pay with your mobile phone. read more

Terrible customer service. I visited an El Pollo Loco in Anaheim Hills and was told that if we want to pay by credit card we could NOT order with a person. We HAD to order by kiosk. This is terrible customer service. They said it was forced on them by corporate?!? Yikes! Some of my family members have food allergies. They wouldn't unlock their back door for customers eating outside so everyone had to walk around the building to get their food or refills. El Pollo Loco is typically known for their healthier fast food options. I placed an order via the app earlier this week (1/19) for in store pickup because their drive-thru line was super long. I arrived inside the store 1 minute before my order was supposed to be ready, and with their long drive-thru line I knew they would be busy. Upon entering the store, mind you - I was the only customer inside the store - I was greeted by one of the ladies with "Hello! We will be right with you!" OK, so they acknowledged my presence and that was it. They had about 5-6 employees on the floor, and 10 minutes goes by and not a single person has bothered to help me. Yes, their drive-thru line was crazy busy. Yes, I know a lot of fast food restaurants prioritize their drive-thru line. But not being helped in 10 minutes when there are that many people working the floor was unacceptable. Not only that, it seemed that everyone that walked by the cash register (also the waiting area) was purposely avoiding eye contact with me. Right when I was about to just cancel the order on the app, the lady who initially greeted me came over with just a "How can I help you?" I told her I had an order for pickup, but I also wanted to add an order of chips & guac. She seemed either flustered or annoyed as she charged me for the additional order. It took close to another 10 minutes before she went to fill my chips and guac order which honestly, should NOT have taken that long.
