The menu at Cava has a number of great healthy options. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the steak and honey chicken on a bed of rice and arugula with all the extras. You just have to go to really appreciate all the options they offer...and the sauces were so yummy. The service was equally as awesome. My son suggested CAVA for dinner after a massage. We stopped by the Anaheim Hills location located in festival center, lower level. CAVA was open late which was perfect, we arrived about 9PM. Stand in line and ordered at the counter picking out your items as you move down the line. Cashier at the end rings up your order and collects the payment. If you order a drink the fountain drinks are self serve allowing you to pick your ice to liquid ratio and make custom combinations if you're so inclined. As you will be able to see the pictures below I am NOT happy with the service nor the food that I purchased. We tried the "Salmon Bowl....I have never had any of my CAVA BOWLS look like this. I informed the cashier that our salmon was partially undercooked and burnt the reply I received was..Oh well do you want me to do it again? I said no because of that attitude that I received. I am very disappointed with my recent experience at the CAVA location in Anaheim Hills, particularly with an employee named Ava. BEWARE of AVA she's not professional at all I found a large brown hair in my food, which was extremely unpleasant and concerning. When I brought the issue to Ava's attention, she did not ask me what had happened, did not ask to see the food, and did not make any effort to understand the situation. Instead, she immediately said "no" and told me to contact the CAVA support team. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I was very disappointed by the way my concern was handled. At the very least, I expected Ava to listen to my complaint and take the time to understand what had happened before dismissing me. I would appreciate it if management could look into this situation and address the customer service I received. Food is good but service is poor and they're not flexible at all. I ordered a bowl and they would only allow one type of "greens" and they won't let you do half chicken and half veggies anymore. A CAVA bowl is usually two meals for me, in fact, I sometimes get a kids meal if I don't want leftovers. But today when my husband asked what I wanted from CAVA, I opted for a normal bowl so I could have lunch tomorrow too. He ordered online and picked up, luckily checked the bag before he left because the pita was missing. Came home, we opened our bowls and were very disappointed. They were barely half way full and complete sloppy messes. Usually the sauces are placed nicely on top to be able to dip the pita in, but it was all mixed together and I couldn't tell what was what. I asked for broccoli and didn't get it. There was also huge chunks of feta that I did not order, it made it way too salty. My lamb meatballs, which are usually delicious, were on the verge of being burnt and were dense like hockey pucks. This was definitely not worth $15. My husband said the last time he got food from this location, it was also a tiny portion, but he thought it was a one off. Unfortunately Orange was closed today which is why he went to Anaheim Hills, but he said he won't be ordering from this store again. read more

This location is 3 miles from me which is great. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy. Staff were nice and helpful, establishment is clean and plenty of parking spaces in this location. We both got the spicy chicken avocado bowl, it was very good, fresh and generous amount of food. We asked if they offer any military discount and to our surprise they do at least for this location. I've come to this location a few times and it's been great, but lately it's been a mess. Came an hour and a half after they opened and they were completely out of chicken and falafel. They also ran out of steak, but they did have some to make. There were around 5 people that end up leaving when they heard they didn't have chicken. They offered drinks for anyone that was waiting on the steak to be cooked which was nice. It end up being 30 minutes to get my order. I'm not sure if it was an error in their shipment since two of their popular meats were missing, but you can tell the entire staff was trying their best to sort out the situation. What has happened to CAVA? -- the flavors are great and the ingredients are usually fresh -- but the portions have dropped substantially lately. What used to be a generous, satisfying bowl now looks half-filled, and for the price it just doesn't feel worth it anymore. On top of that, my last order had multiple issues: one bowl was missing broccoli, they forgot to include the pita (so I had to ask for it), and the lamb meatballs were hard, dry, and so overcooked they might as well have been hockey pucks. The food here used to feel reliable, but between the shrinking portions and the careless preparation, the experience has really gone downhill. I hope they turn it around, because right now it's just disappointing. read more

This review is based on cava via Uber eats/DoorDash etc... Im disgusted that they take zero precautions when ordering through a food delivery service. The bag was not sealed, the contents of the bag (one bowl and one small bag with pita bread) was not even closed and had no stickers, no seals, nothing My food could have so easily been tampered with and I would've had absolutely no idea. I'm not saying my driver did anything, my food looked fine but unfortunately I will not be eating it. I have seen and heard horror stories about what some drivers do to the food they're delivering which I'm pretty sure is why most other restaurants have taken precaution and started sealing (at least) the BAG closed. I've NEVER ordered from any food delivery service and not had some kind of seal either on the item or the bag. Most places seal all of the items and also the bag. I found it so strange and unsanitary when I opened my front door and saw an open bag with my bowl and another small open bag inside of it with my bread. I'm actually very shocked that Cava takes zero precautions with food delivery services and think this should be addressed. read more

I am not sure the rating is so high. The food is decent but not better than average. Good take out food maybe. First they have so many people working and you have to wait for them to be free to help you. I think they work on take out orders. I told the person it was my first time and they didn't really help me in a way I feel was beneficial. I had to ask him about the chives. Then when we took our food home I saw the fried wonton chips on my son bowl. What I would have gotten a crunchy item... I saw it but they didn't say I could make a pick them that area. I was disappointed. The food taste.. the spicy meatballs was dry and the chicken was just as dry. The bowl was good with the sauces and the combination I picked but the protein was disappointing. Would I go back maybe but I am going to other places to try before I go back here. The menu was such a small print and not easy to understand of how it works. IMO read more

I know I tend to be slow, but he was really patient with me, gave me time to think and answered all my questions + gave good suggestions when I asked what to get. The food here is awesome, but it's especially good service like that which makes me choose here instead of a place like Chipotle, where I always feel rushed. The "general manager" is extremely rude. Slow service. Small portions. Dirty. Not what it used to be a year ago tbh.

Almost every serving tray was practically empty when I came in, yet they were still taking orders like nothing was wrong. I paid extra for the harissa honey chicken, and instead of a proper scoop, I was given the scraps from the bottom of the container and barely any chicken ended up in my bowl. For the prices CAVA charges, the portions are shockingly small, especially when you are paying an upcharge for a protein. It felt cheap and careless, not fresh or generous like it is supposed to be. If you are out of food, the employee who is hanging out behind the counter should restock it. Definitely not worth it, and I will not be coming back to this location. read more

This was a return visit to Cava to enjoy the fresh Mediterranean fare. You can pretty much customize your bowls as to grain, greens and toppings. The food portions are generous and satisfying. As usual, the staff were fast, efficient and friendly. With just two tables occupied, all the remaining twelve or so tables were not clean from previous diners. After moving from two dirty tables, we succumbed to clean our table to use. The food is good but next time we'll do take-out. read more

I've been to CAVA several times and never had an issue, until this visit. Something has clearly changed, and not in a good way. They now seem determined to charge for every possible "extra" on the menu while serving noticeably smaller portions. We ordered two bowls and were given portions so skimpy it was honestly insulting, nothing like what we've received here before. On top of that, the pita bread that normally comes with the bowls wasn't included. When I went back to ask for the pitas that come with our meals, the employee handed me one pita. I had to explain, then argue that we ordered two bowls. She acknowledged it, walked away, and never came back with the second pita. I waited for a few minutes before realizing she wasn't returning at all. At that point, it was clear this wasn't a simple mistake. Between the stingy portions, missing items, and complete lack of concern for the customer, this location has gone downhill fast. If this is the new standard at CAVA, I won't be back and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting to get what they pay for. read more

Cava tries to be like Chipotle with their service model but fails. It took over 30 minutes for me to order and pay. Sadly, my experience today is a repeat of what it has been the last 2 times I was there. They are either understaffed or undertrained. There was a huge line at 1pm. The guy starting the bowls was working so slow and was getting confused. They were out of many ingredients. The girl asked what I wanted and when I said pickles and olives, she gave me 1 slice of pickle and 2 olives. 1 slice of pickle? I asked for cabbage she gave me less than a teaspoon worth. After she prepped my bowl, she packed up my bowl and told to me wait while she helped other people. For 5 minutes I stood there, my meal ready, but no one to ring me up to pay. In the meantime, there is a 10 year old girl waiting to ask a question for at least 10 minutes, everyone ignoring her. I finally flagged someone to help her. After paying, I go to fill my drink and there is no ice, and they are out of my favorite drink. The food is delicious, healthy. But every time I come here, it's in complete disarray, they are out of everything, and the employees are slow.
