I had a pleasant experience today at my local McDonalds. In the past this location had issues with rude cuatomer service. This morning everyone was cheerful, engaging and working diligently. Located right off the 91 freeway. This McDonald's came in clutch at dinner time. Ordering is done through kiosks here. You take a table number, enter it with your order,and an employee will hand deliver your meal to you. It was a little off putting walking in at first because there weren't any employees at the front counter. I ordered a few of their meal deals. They all came with some type of burger, small drink, and 4 piece nuggets and ranged in price from $6-$7. Yes, I know . I tried the hot honey sauce with my fries and I liked it. I also had a double burger -no onions -and a coke . The coke wasn't as sweet as I like. There is plenty of seating from booths to stools and there's even a playland outside. read more

I do not recommend this location. Very slow and way under staffed. Most likely because of the owner or manager. They are picky with their product. Sodas/drinks are no longer available for refills. I have never had been so frustrated leaving this location. First off I sat at the drive through for 10 minutes while the cashier took the order for 4 cars in the other lane and I believe she only realized because I asked if someone was going to take our order when she accidentally switched to our speaker.she continued to take another cars order and came back to my speaker with absolutely no apology. There was no communication from the lady that handed up food even when I asked for extra ranch and buffalo. Come to find out when we got home they did not provide us with any sauce for the happy meal and we only receive 1 ranch and 1 buffalo for a $25 order. And all of that isn't even the WORST part. What happened to this McDonalds? We used to love coming here but not anymore. Yesterday we ended up leaving after 40 minutes of waiting, without even getting our food. We ordered ahead of time for drive through pick up but the drive through wasn't moving when we got there (at all) so I went inside to see if I can get our food there. No such luck. The employees were too busy in the back to even acknowledge customers at the front counter. All of them just trying to avoid eye contact, God forbid anyone asked about their food. The only McDonalds I go to in the area. The last 3 times I was here staff was incredibly helpful and friendly despite it being so busy. Least organized location. I work near here, so I come here occasionally; however, they always take forever to fill your order. If it is once or twice, I can let it go, but when I went today, we are the only two customers inside, and the drive through line was short. I waited more than 5 minutes for a simple two item ice cream order before I had to get an attention from someone inside. The tables are never cleaned. I always have to look for a clean table. They should send their people to another location in Yorba Linda for training where there is always someone wiping the tables. To their credit, people working there is never rude, and their ice cream tastes better than other locations. Other than that, I only come here only if I have to. Disappointed is an understatement. Went to my local Mcdonald's today and ordered a Medium Iced Coffee With Caramel syrup. I was given a small caramel macchiato. I went inside and complained and the manager told me they changed the cup sizes for iced coffees and that what I had was a medium. She also said that is an iced coffee. Last I checked iced coffees have coffee in them not just milk and caramel drizzle!!! I drove down to the La Palma location and ordered the same thing and they gave me my correct coffee. As you can see what I received from this location looks wildly different in size and color. Save your time and money and go to the La Palma location. read more

Echoing all of the other reviews. It's unfortunate, as the location is so convenient, but the service is nonexistent. I stopped there today (knowing better) only because it's close to my daughter's school and she begged for a Happy Meal for family picnic day at her school. Seeing just 4 cars in the drive thru and from past experience, I knew it would be 15+ min wait. I went inside, ordered a Happy Meal, 2 cheeseburgers, 2 fries, and 2 soft drinks. Fairly simple order. There were two other people in the restaurant and the 4 cars in the drive through. I waited nearly 10 minutes for my order and finally had to flag down an employee to ask where my order was. The complete lack of urgency and even awareness that people are waiting for orders is mind boggling. My order was sitting there, they just didn't bag it. One employee nonchalantly bagged it, placed it on the counter, and walked away. No straws (which were not out in the dining room) in the bag despite 3 drinks ordered. Had to flag down another employee to get straws. Overall 15+ minutes to get basic cheeseburgers and fries. McDonalds is McDonalds, I'm not expecting world class service or Michelin quality food--I frequent there only because my kids like the happy meals. I simply don't understand why it is so hard for this location to get orders right, get their wait times down, and be more efficient. Holy crap where is Ray Kroc now. This is a disgraceful McDonalds. I do like McDonalds food but dont eat often as it is tasty but not healthy. I ordered through the app a double quarter pounder with cheese, smally frys, and 4 chicken nuggets When I got to the window they gave me all except the nuggets. they said I didnt order nuggets so I show them the app that clearly shows I did. After 3 minutes the manager came and said there is nothing she can do as the app is McDonalds problem. I said who the hell are you guys. After going round and round with this stupid woman I feared them doing something to my food so just drove off without the nuggets. I have given this place a few different attempts to give the employees the benefit of the doubt. Come on people you have one job!!!!!! Put the burger in the microwave to warm it up and make it look fresh and you are able to mess that up!!!! When you look at a so called value meal that is $16-$20 bucks here you get a better value going to Red Robin and sitting down having unlimited fries and your food is brought to you while your enjoying your evening and you spend $18-23 with tip for burger fries and a drink and it's a hell of a lot better food and service.
