The food is decent and the drive through is fast enough. You do need to check your salsa in the drive through. They pre package them and ignore any requests you make in the order. I always come here in this location but yesterday was the worst experienced I had. The woman in the cashier took my order and when I asked her how much are the extra pieces of chicken (breast, wings, etc.), and I said never mind just take my original order, then (sad face came in). It's a decent Pollo Loco, the manager who is a guy working there is a nice guy, this review just goes out specifically to a girl named Karla, I usually have lots of patience when it comes to rude customer service and I'm not one to even write negative reviews due to the fact that I used to work fast food/restaurant jobs and I know how rude and entitled people can be but when I went in on 11/24/24 at around 3:00PM to order, as I'm getting my order placed by Karla, I immediately get cut off half ways without me finishing my order and I get a snarky attitude from her telling me "That's not what I asked, I asked if you wanted to make it a combo" ummm, I wasn't even done telling you what I wanted removed from my bowl? And you're jumping and asking me wether I wanted to make it a combo already? I understand if you're behind or you are multitasking, or even just having a bad day in general but to lash out at me like that was uncalled for, I immediately told her yes I would like to make it a combo, and tried to stay nice, but I went ahead and told her I wasn't finished ordering and she starts making sarcastic faces and immediately turns even more hostile, I told her I wanted no Onions and no Pico on my bowl, she didn't even get the first part of my order from the beginning because she was too pushy about asking me to make it into a combo or not. So this is a new location for me and when I went first time, I was happy with the service. So I decided to go second time few months later, still service was great but then there was lack of order taking because when I came home and that's when I realized so much was missing. So I called El Pollo Loco at the location I went to and spoke with manager Erica and explained my situation and at first it didn't go well, but then few minutes later Erica reconsidered and took care of the entire order. El pollo loco is usually always good. They have a good variety on their menus, and their food always hits. This was my first time trying out this location since it was close by. I found a piece of hair stuck in my Mac and cheese half way thru, I wanted to puke. Not sure what hair but it was like a baby hair or facial hair or a guys hair or something, it was short as you can see on attached pic. Maybe masks and hair nets should be pushed when working in the food industry.
