Have been to this location a few times since the company came out with their keto tacos. From the beginning until tonight I have been happy. Tonight was the first time they didn't not live up to past experiences. The tacos were missing a couple key ingredients from the pico to the creamy cilantro dressing. They were very dry and completely not what is pictured. My wife ordered a two piece meal breast and wing. She took one bite and spit it out. She said it tasted spoiled and old. She and I both smelled it and it smelled odd. Called the store and talked to Teresa, explained the situation about the chicken and the tacos. She attempted to explain the process of making the tacos but if the ingredients are not there they are not there. She also stated that they had received a delivery of chicken today and would check the date on the boxes. 95% of the time the good is great! It's the service that sucks. Pull up through the drive though and it ALWAYS takes FOREVER for the person to acknowledge you . Lobby closes at 8. Restaurant closes at 10. Don't order to go, you'll have to wait in the drive-thru regardless. Totally understand rule changes for COVID, but when there's a lack of communication and the employees could care less, it makes the food almost not worth it. While working I needed a quick bite for lunch. I left the hospital campus and drove down the street to find El Pollo Loco. Being new to southern Nevada, I stopped in, the name intrigued me. As soon as I crossed the threshold I knew I should turn around. But, I was starving and didn't have time to seek another lunch option. The dining room was filthy - food trays left on vacant tables, greasy slick floors, and flys swarming guests as they attempted to eat. I couldn't figure out why patrons were 15 people deep in the corral. Needless to say, hunger drove my questionable decision to examine the menu. A variety of options are available if you're brave enough to give it a shot. Against my better judgement I ordered the Double Protein Avocado Pollo Fit Bowl, classic low card option. It's fast food location at 274 West Lake Mead Parkway was awful today, their chicken smelled and tasted like it had been marinated in a chemical like plastic. Called the manager to complain, her name was Teresa, said she had no other complaints, ya right, there were 2 other customers behind us, the time was around 11:30am. I've been here several times, it's down the street from my sons school. As soon as I started to order the rudest person, just attitude and didn't seem to happy to be working there. I would say 75% of the time something from my order is missing. I always check my bag. Today I checked as I was driving off and notice they forgot my tortillas. So I had to park and take my son in because the drive through was busy. Have had to do this at least 10 times this year. I go in and tell them they forgot my tortillas. He hands them to me and says "he already put some in your bag but here you go", with an attitude. So I asked if I should bring my bag inside. He said "have a nice day" and walked away. So rude. All of the times they've messed up I haven't said anything. This was the final straw. I am disabled and this is not something easy for me to do...get out of the car. This was our favorite place to go. But I can no longer go here. There is one employee who always makes sure she gets the order right and always knows what we want. This El pollo loco has the best set up I've ever seen for there salsa bar. I should have taken a pic, but I was in a hurry. It's in a circle. So if other people are at the bar, you don't have to wait behind them like your stalking them. I got the new layered salad. Then I layer more I add a layer of there onions, then salsa, then cilantro, then to top it all off I put about 8 Serrano peppers to the mix. The salad was ok. This is my first and last time coming here. With all of the restaurants in Henderson you should make sure your stuff is on point! For the price of this food there is no excuse. Everything was DRY!!! We took our kids to Burger King because that's what they wanted and guess what?? Their food was fresh and we come here to dry ass chicken and rice ridiculous! The food is tasty enough most of the time, but it's inconsistent and you never know if it will be good or just okay. Furthermore, in the last three months when I order extra avocado on my double chicken tostada salad I haven't been getting it. So, I've stopped ordering it because I don't get it anyway. I ordered from this location in the drive through about an hour ago- I ordered (and paid for) a BRC burrito with no rice and added chicken breast. I paid for the added chicken breast - it was included on my bill. I also got an original pollo bowl with no onions. My burrito was completely wrong- it had none of the chicken breast I paid for in it and instead of no rice, I got extra rice. My husband hates rice and it was his burrito. My pollo bowl was filled with onions that I am still picking out. I had picked up the food on my way to our bowling league. Never again. I go to this location because it is close to where I work but I won't go there again. If it wasn't so inconvenient to go back I would now - as it is, my husband has no food now. For a fast food chain, El Pollo Loco is one that is a healthy choice and I'm not ashamed to say I'm a fan. I come here often for lunch during the work week when I want something fast and good for me. I was on a BRC Burrito and side salad kick for a while when I was avoiding meat, but lately I'm a fan of the Skinless Chicken Breast meal. I also like places that have nutritional info available so I can check out healthy options before I get there and you can find that info on El Pollo's website. The staff is always friendly and the food usually comes out quickly; if it doesn't, you know it just means they're grilling up more of that crazy, good chicken. read more

Originally when I reviewed this business I gave it 2 stars, mainly because of of the long lunch wait and tiny cuts of chicken, but I am revising this. Recently my wife and I went back on a very busy weekend. Wow, the place was heads and tails faster and the food was great! The service was polite and warm. The grill man even checked in to see if we liked everything. This was all great. As a side note, I went back on the following Tuesday to see what lunch hour was like. I think I waited all of 3 minutes for my delicious shrimp enchiladas. Wicked good flavors. Praise where praise is due. Well done! read more

Super frustrated with this location. Went here about 3 weeks ago. Not sure what was going on, but I saw the cook walk out cursing and he threw his hat. I was informed it would be about 10 minutes for my order so I waiting in my car at the front. After about 25 minutes, customers were walking out saying they waiting 30-45 minutes. I asked for a refund and left. I decided to give it once more chance last Thursday. The staff was so rude, and short. Got home, and our chicken was so dry and old. Will not be going back. I have frequented this EPL quite a bit and for the most part have had good service. I know it varies between good and bleh but that seems to be the usual for this location. I know the usual things that are a nuisance are a messy dining area and the salsa bar either being bare or gnarly. However seeing the multiple poor reviews makes me second guess coming here. Where do I start. I mean pollo loco is pollo loco. I usually do the whole drive thru deal but this time i decided to come in and sit. Customer service is ok as expected but thats not my issue here. I was afraid to eat or even breath without sucking in GNATS i mean they are everywhere. I kept having to wave my hand over my food so they wouldn't land and have a field day on my food.. it was pretty disgusting. And to my surprise my boyfriend notices the wall right behind me and its full of gnats just hanging out. And a whole bunch gnats hanging out by the salsa bar so im pretty sure we had some gnats take a dive in the salsa. DISGUSTING! i mean they have to notice this. Pretty disappointed, makes me wonder how sanitary they are in the back cooking.. looks like we won't be coming here. read more
