This is our favorite drive-In restaurant. They have a widely varied menu. Great quality, very reasonable prices for what you get compared to larger national chains. It's like going back in time, until fairly recently, the car hops even wore roller-skates. You can either place an order from one of their many stalls, often shade covered, or even better order through the mobile app, which even offers a time to pickup the order, that's astonishingly accurate, again compared to the much larger national chain, where they often lost our orders or their ice cream machines are broken. I highly recommend this restaurant, and it's sister outlet that's on Lake Mead Boulevard on the way to Lake Mead. read more

There is a reason I don't eat at Sonic. In fact, there are several reasons. In the past, I've gone in to order one of the special seasonal offerings only to be told that they were sold out. This has happened several times at different locations. Seems to be a corporate issue. So frustrating. I chose to give Sonic another try last night despite my past frustrations. I was met with frustration again right away. I pulled up and pushed the botton to order, it lit up red, the screen said they would be with me shortly. Lies! Nobody ever came on to take my order. Another customer pulled up several minutes after me and ordered right away. I pressed the button again. Success. I placed my order; a Sonic Cheeseburger and a churro shake. It is the shake that drew me in. I love churros. It took a few minutes for my order to come out. I looked at the shake and did not see the churro that was supposed to top it off. I thought maybe it was hiding beneath the whipped cream. By the time I was half way through the shake I realized it was not hiding at all. It was outright missing. A churro shake without the churro is essentially just a, you know, shake. A tasty shake. Don't get me wrong. But what a crappy thing to do. Lure somebody in with the promise of a churro and then short them said churro. Not cool! As for the burger, meh. It was fine but no better than the cheaper Jumbo Jack at Jack In The Box next door to this Sonic. I would have been better off going to Jack. They have shakes there too. My suggestion: Teach the food runner to look for the stall number on the receipt so that he won't bring the wrong food order out to folks. 15 minutes for a single cup of tea. We finally left without my tea. There were five cars total. This is the epitome of bad management. The ones delivering the food were walking in slow motion. I can't see them being able to handle a rush. This poor management has to be started from the regional position. Any regional worth his/ her salt would never tolerate this lack of performance. Sonic has good food but this is terrible service and makes Sonic as a whole look bad. I will be going elsewhere from now on for al fast food. I have been here a few times now and every time I have waited over 20 mins for food. This most recent time I waited 15+ minutes for them to even answer to take our order, they cancelled the red button and so I left. I love Sonic but this place has things that they can work on. The last two times we have came here the service was horrible they kept taking our order then would not say anything for five minutes and tell us to "hold on" . The food was even worse. I've had horrible experiences when I go for a late night run. First off the Yelp hours are wrong. They are never open later than 12. Brings me to my second complaint. They can't even make it to 12. One time they said they were closed after they took the people's order before me. It was 11:40.... One time drove by to grab a drink around 10:30, lights were off and nobody was inside working. Tried Uber eats once. Ordered around 9:50. (Figured that was enough time before they close). They were "making my order" until 11pm and the order got canceled cause guess what!? They closed! I use to love the breakfast burritos I use to go quite a bit, I gave them two more chances after they started messing up. 6 months time apart, and they still can't seem to clean the grill. I left a complaint through corporate the first time with pictures on how gross it looked. Burnt egg, greasy, little bit of cheese & only a half slice of sausage?? They use to make them perfect before pandemic, now that's all it is. My second time trying then again was yesterday, same thing. I actually checked before I left. Showed it to the manager and she just told me it's the grease from the grill. That's disgusting . So I ended up with two corn dogs and the tots. Yet, the small size seemed like a kid size. The delivery person going to the side of your car should ask for identification or ask you to recite what's in the order... I'm not sure why the lady who took my order is allowed to take orders. After every item I ordered she would say anything else! In a rude why like I'm bothering her by being there. I've order single bacon cheeseburgers many times over the years. We got double grease burgers the buns were soaked in grease I took one bite and spit it out then wiped my mouth out with napkins. I ordered a large drink got a medium. I tried to order broccoli cheese tots/bites she told me they don't sell them while the menu is showing them. Not that they were sold out. She was added what I ordered then taking it off and I would have to reorder it. Came here and ordered at 9:32 pm, at 10:02 pm she brings out my order. I look in the bag, the entire thing is incorrect. It's another persons order. She grabs it back and says "they were looking for that bag." Then runs back inside to find my actual order, comes out and says they're no remaking the whole thing. I placed an online order, for one simple combo. Got to the restaurant, the app wouldn't let me check in. I pushed the red button. They asked me name and ticket number multiple times. I had to call again, and flag someone down. They asked me what I was I was waiting for, like people just come sit in their cars without food all day (wouldn't that be loitering).
