My last visit here was pretty random, we were waiting for an order at another near by restaurant and I randomly checked in and noticed I had a deal to use. My favorite item on their menu is the double chicken tostada When we came in to pick up my order, I saw it ready but the lady that said hello didn't know much English so we had to wait for the other employee to confirm I was the correct person picking up my order. It was a fast order and pick up. I believe you can pick up at drive thru for online orders but I picked up mine inside. Their parking area is very busy due to the restaurant they are next to. So probably the best time to go is when the restaurant next door is closed which is before 3pm but closer to the weekends you will find the parking lot packed so drive through is a better option. read more

We were heading to a a party all the way to Lodi so decided to make a quick stop here. Ordered two of the same burrito for myself and wife, and a side of rice for my son. The service was very straightforward, and we got our food pretty quick. The only annoying thing about the location is entering and exiting due to the amount of other food locations near it, specifically the Texas Roadhouse right next door. Now, the biggest issues regarding this visit was the food. The portion of protein is very poor, our burritos had barely any chicken in it, the reason why it looks kind of stuffed is because it was mostly filled with cabbage. Which i should have taken a pickle of but i was driving while eating it. Definitely not a good eating experience for what we paid for. My husband went as a late night dinner at around 7pm. He ordered the chicken nachos. They asked him what's kind of chicken he wanted and he said grilled chicken. When he got home we noticed they added the shredded chicken instead of the grilled chicken, they might as well not asked him if they were going to choose for him. Another thing that was noticed by our 7 year old son because he loves chips and salsa was that he found a hair in the green salsa. they tend to purposely short you on protein I've had this happen multiple times. So I waited a year or so thinking management had been replaced and nope! Three stars because of past experiences that were fine, but what a bummer when I got home after a long day with my 8 piece family meal and 2 of the 8 pieces were these little chicken wings that were so burnt there was hardly any meat left that was edible. The rest of the chicken was pretty dry on top of that. I typically have a good experience here around lunch time, but throwing these pieces in that were just burnt skin and bones felt like I was being ripped off. We always order a family meal that comes with 8 pieces leg and thigh, with 2 large sides, a salad, and 4 churros, for $25. For the sides, we ordered mashed potatoes with gravy and corn. Check your mail. Sometimes there are El Pollo Loco coupons in there. Also don't forget to download the app to earn points and rewards from El Pollo Loco. Each time you spend there you upload your receipt and earn points towards free items on their menu. Be aware that you have a grace period of 24 hours, I think to upload the receipt. When I am feeling too tired to cook I always turn to El Pollo Loco. I consider this place to be the healthiest fast-food chain around. The food is good here. Chickens are very flavorful and grilled, not fried. We appreciate how they don't have any fried items such as fried chicken or fries. The sides are a bit healthier and more yummy here. I usually like El Pollo Loco but was really disappointed in this particular location today. I paid $3.99 for a regular guacamole. What did I receive? A 2oz small condiment container full of guac. The crazy thing, is I didn't even order the smallest size. Supposedly, there is one size smaller for $1.99. I am not sure how you can get any less guacamole then what I received. ‍ I presumed this was a mistake and would be remedied so I asked for if I could get an actual regular sized guacamole or for my money back but no acceptable resolution was presented to me. I went to El Pollo Loco to get lunch, and I was baffled by what I saw. I saw the cook with handling money and also holding the cooking prongs as he dealt with orders. The prongs hit the hairs on his arm and he continued to point to the board as he gave a customer directions. I felt this was unsanitary and in the times we in cleanness is very important. I couldn't order my food after seeing a cook display this in plain view of the customers. I watched him take the same prongs and turn over the meat, which I thought was horrible. This El Pollo Loco service is horrible and for a Manager not to see this was terrible. The picture displays the cook at reregister handling money and cooking, which I am sure is not allowed. I have always loved El Pollo Loco. It was one of my favorite places to g before I retired from working in the Bay Area. The chicken was always cooked just right whether I ordered chicken parts or pieces in the bowl. Tracy opened up its store a few years back and I was delighted to know that I can still get the meals I loved, but to my disappointment, the chicken was too overcooked for me. A year or so later, I decided that maybe they had a better cook after all of this time. The chicken is still overcooked. Who wants chicken with burnt skin. It's Wednesday March 24th, 2021. We're currently sitting in our car waiting curbside for an online order as the drive-thru is closed. ITS BEEN 60 MINUTES, 60, 6-0. They've also locked the doors to the restaurant. And won't come to the door to speak to people to let us know what's going on. They're ok to take our money, but aren't ok to even have the decency to answer the door or cut off online orders. This company is getting money from customer after customer, off all of us ordering, but don't have the courtesy to come and let anyone know what's going on. Service is too slow here. I'm sure the two employees who were working were still training. The lines were long due to lack of communication between cashier and customer. The salsa bar isn't open so it's a hassle trying to go up to the counter to ask for more. The people in the back getting food are also slow in putting orders together so there is a crowd waiting for their food. I've asked multiple times for a few things and the employee was confused on multiple occasions such as getting a lid for my to go box or my churros. Food still tastes the same as I remember it but the process of ordering to waiting for the food is a while. I'd come back but I just hope they pick up the speed here. read more

They have holiday deal for 5.00 fire grilled combo, come with chips and drink. The pollo original chicken bowl was so good and filling. We also got 3 taco al carbon for 5.00. 8 pieces leg and thighs holiday family meal came with 3 large sides and warm tortillas. The chicken was so moist and tender.
