Went here Memorial Day @ 830pm and service was horrible and disrespectful. Alex in the drive through could not take a simple order and have me attitude. I pull up to the window and am still polite when the girl running the window did not greet me, had a major attitude, and when she handed me my order I thanked her she rolled her eyes and closed the window. I go to El Pollo Loco now and then, when I'm on the road and want something fast and reasonably healthy. I've been to this location 3 times and tried different things. Each time it has been terrible. I've never had this experience at another El Pollo Loco. This time I had a fit burrito and it looked more like a quesadilla and fell apart. I had chips and they tasted rancid. The guacamole was okay. I wanted to let everyone know that I got the most fantastic service from Marco and Christina at El Pollo Loco. I was one of those crazy customers who went thru the drive thru and ordered the incorrect salad. It was totally my fault. I didn't know the proper name of the salad and I ended up ordering one that I did not intend to. I went inside of the store to see if there was anything I could do about it. These people were so nice. Even though they were busy they took care of me and they even gave me back the original salad that I ordered because there was nothing that they could do with it. I want able to give that salad away to someone who was hungry. Because they were so good to me, I will now return- only to this particular location. Mixed review. Great food but the managers dont pay attention to what is happening in the restaurant, only the drive thru. They need to clean the tables, keep supplies filled, help people in a long line and serve the people in the dining room faster. read more

This is an extremely clean place. That was my first order of business when going into eat there. I haven't been to Pollo loco in 7 years, because the last one I went to was a mess. So it is clean. Typically, I am pretty pleased with the food and service. However, two weeks ago this location forgot an item in our order. Ok, our fault for not checking before we leave but still totally inconvenient and kind of upsetting when you get all the way home and part of your meal is missing. Went tonight and ordered a Shrimp and Chicken Tostada. It's a pretty simple set up. However, this time there was no cheese, no salsa very little sour cream and almost no chicken or shrimp. So the whole bowl was super plain lettuce, beans and rice. It lacked any real flavor and was dry. C'mon now folks, I get it's fast food but seriously?! Who is checking the orders to make sure everything is correct? I understand the line tonight was long but don't half ass the orders just to keep the cars moving. Me and my fiancé used to come to this el pollo loco literally almost 4-5 times a week. We stopped going because after eating here we both got severe food poisoning. To the point that we had to call my mom to come take care of us and give us water-- we almost had to be hospitalized due to dehydration. Do not go here. I go to this El Pollo Loco at least once a week it's a great meal to have when I'm on my way home from work. My family enjoys the food as well. I pulled up to the drive at 9:28 pm, the restaurant closes at 10pm. The attendant told me that they were out of chicken. How is it that a chicken restaurant runs out of chicken. I usually order two 12 piece meals, that way I have enough for lunches. I'd like to know why I wasn't able to get chicken from a chicken restaurant. I'm honestly considering not going there anymore. They offer convenience and it's not very convenient when they run out of CHICKEN. This is not the first time they've messed up an order at this location. But this wasn't a mess up with an order, there was no order. I've repeated myself enough. read more

Terrible! My two piece chicken meal was only one piece of burnt chicken and unedible. I don't know why they even bothered with the wing. (See pic) I found a long black hair in my salad dressing. If I hadn't brought it home as time-out, I would have taken it back and demanded my money back. The chicken was a joke and the workers are rude. The Hispanic lady at the register was the worst. We watched her make mistakes on orders and people had to show her the receipt to prove they had paid for something. I asked for extra salad dressing and she huffed and literally threw it in the bag. Food was great. The wife ordered a tostado salad. She was happy because the lettuce was fresh, lots of chicken which was cooked just right. I went cheap with a BRC burrito and taco al carbon. I always dump the chicken from the taco into the BRC and fill the corn tortilla up with house salsa.... Yum. The only downside was the lack of attention on cleaning the tables and dining room. We noticed several customers wiping down their own tables using napkins. The floors needed some attention also. read more

Awful customer service and they never get orders right. Every time I've come here they either don't give me all of the items ordered, or the order is all wrong. When you bring it to their attention, they're completely rude. If you drive thru here make sure your order is correct and you have all of your items before pulling away or you'll end up having to go in for the rest of your order. The manager is the worst there. So I placed my order in the online app @ 7:14 pm and arrived at this location after a nice 20 minute drive only to find out they have no record of my order. I show them the phone with my order number, and watch them hustle to help everyone else instead of trying to resolve my issue, while I'm sitting there looking like a jackass staring at my phone. I get fed up and say well can you issue me a refund for my $43, because now the app says order completed. My guess is they handed my food off to the wrong person but what's worse is that they said there's no record of my order so I'll have to dispute the charge with my bank. Great...so I get to have fun calling my bank to waste even more of my time. WTF? Terrible location that can't seem it straight. Why didn't they just make my order? Time elapsed: Driving : 40 min.; waiting for order to come through after 7:33 had passed: 10 min. ; Sitting on hold with my bank and listening to the automated menus that don't understand what I'm saying: 2-3 hours. A pretty awful experience to say the least. A++ on that employee training. Maybe they'll offer me a free tortilla for my troubles, so I can go there again and they can say they ran out. read more

I've had to sit and think about this one because I didn't want to complain but I am going to. My honey and I love coming here but recently we found out they no longer have the Mexican Cobb salad. That's our favorite salad we always get it to share along with a chicken avocado burrito. Last night we went in for a salad and the burrito, granted the lady at the drive-thru told us they didn't have the salad anymore so we just ordered one of the salads from the 500 calorie section and got our burrito. The salad was okay but that burrito was so disgusting. I took one bite of it and spit it out, there was no pieces of grilled chicken, no fresh avocado, the pinto beans tasted like they had been sitting for days. The chicken that was in the burrito was shredded and the "avocado" was guacamole and there was rice all in it. I never felt so sick in my life after eating here and my poor honey started throwing up. Luckily it wasn't food poisoning. It was just from the nasty taste we got from the burrito. Sadly the only good thing we had and enjoyed was a large cherry coke. I'd give this place a zero but the cashier was pleasant and customer service is always a huge factor to me. read more

Wildomar El Pollo Loco is closer for us since we live in Wildomar, but 9 times out of 10 something is always wrong with our order. We stopped going through the drive through because the order was always wrong. We are seniors and the guy at the window would always tell us he could only give us a senior discount for 1 dinner order, but not the whole order, LOL. He just didn't get it! Going up to the counter inside, we don't have to deal with this. We really like the rice pudding offered now and they are never consistent with having it available also. To save us from having to go to two El Pollo Locos .... We have started going to the El Pollo in Lake Elsinore, because they are so much better! One time they were out of rice pudding and actually made it while we waited.. It's less hassle in Lake Elsinore... those people have it right! Save yourself a disappointed trip.... drive to Lake Elsinore on Grape St instead. read more

There is nothing spectacular about El Pollo Loco. This location seemed newer, and everyone in the staff was truly nice. Then again, the place was empty about 8:30 PM, on a Sunday night, so we had the whole place attention, as we ordered a 12 piece meal (legs and thighs), and 2 side orders (macaroni and cheese, and mashed potatoes w gravy). Plus their version of a Cobb salad with our dressing of choice (creamy cilantro, kind of tasty), corn tortillas and a generous amount of salsas. 4 Churros were also included as dessert, covered with sugar and cinnamon. The total came out to $27 exactly. Food was decent, chicken like always comprised of small size pieces, as compared to Costco's $5 chicken. Food amount enough for a party of 4, was taken to go. 3.5 Stars. read more
