The dining room…read morewas pretty quiet for a Friday night, but there was a steady stream of takeout orders, which is usually a good sign. The menu is about 90% fried, one salad option. Chicken, with wings, drums, and tenders offered in several heat levels. I went with the Curry tenders (medium), and my husband chose the Hot Honey wings (also medium). Both delivered exactly the right amount of heat--noticeable but not overwhelming. The crunch factor was definitely there, and the chicken itself was moist and flavorful. Sides are ordered separately, so we added onion rings. They were large and looked great, though they were just okay for me. Portions, however, were huge. Our total was around $32, which felt a bit pricey, but the amount of food made up for it. Honestly, we could have shared one entrée if we ever agreed on the same thing. They do serve beer, milk teas, and smoothies too, but we took our order home and enjoyed our own drinks. The atmosphere inside is casual with a giant screen playing K‑Pop videos, which adds a fun vibe if you dine in. Overall, I liked it and would return--next time with fewer items or more people to help tackle those portions.

I got my order to go but the gentleman who took my order was kind enough to offer me a cup for some water. The spot was happening. Music, good vibes, the decor was fun. I couldn't decide which meal I was trying so I'm definitely going to make another trip sometime soon. I got the tenders with mac but added a side of greens. Boy oh boy the greens were the star and wow my tastebuds were incredibly satisfied. I've had greens but these were like some ultimate flavors and holy greens i definitely could just order some of these every now and again by themselves. Mac was great. Definitely complimented the greens. The tenders though omg. The flavor was insane. I gotta try them with the waffles next time for sure. Overall the wait wasn't long and my food was still hot. I ended up sharing with my son and he was even raving about it. Great service, fun and lit atmosphere, last but not least food was fire. Side note: people complain about price but I'll be honest, when the food is good and staff are amazing, the price to me doesn't matter. You get what you pay for and let's be real, this isn't chic fil a, this is hot boys and the chicken is definitely that.

It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.

I recommend doing that because their standard buffalo sauce (which was alright) was the worst of the sauces that I sampled. I ordered hot honey wings and loaded fries. The hot honey wings were dynamite. The loaded fries were good too - the fries and seasoning were great and the nacho cheese was okay. The staff was nice and patient with me since I was a newbie. The restaurant consists of a take-out counter so you have to place your order to go, which takes about 10 minutes. They have a couple of picnic tables outside. Chilly Water Brewing is across the street if you get bored waiting for your order. There isn't a parking lot so you have to park on the street. They're open until midnight, but I would feel weird going here after dark because it's not in the greatest part of town.

The place isn't fancy or upscale. There are a couple of tables, but I think most people just pick up carry out. Bing, the owner, is super friendly and was happy for us to dine-in. She set us up and brought us some water. She treated us like family. I ordered a bowl of hot and sour soup and Kung Pao Shrimp. The bowl of soup was huge, hot and comforting. She brought out a bowl of warm fried wontons that were absolutely delicious. The generous portion of Kung Pao Shrimp was delicious. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the dish was hot. The vegetables were fresh with lots of onions. The fried rice is excellent. I took half home because there was so much food. My husband had the Kung Pao Chicken, which he devoured. Prices are really reasonable. I'd definitely return and recommend.

My hot and sour soup was extremely good, but the Szechuan was probably the best I've ever had with all fresh ingredients, did I mention I got it hot I love hot and it was really really good, but boy did it make my nose run. I will probably get medium the next time, but it was delicious. My wife got the wonton soup and she said it was the best she had ever tasted. She also got an egg roll that she said was very good. The owner was very proud of her homemade hot mustard and brought some out. It was delicious, but be careful a little dabble will do you, it was so good. I had to take some home. We were so glad we tried this little place and as we go to Black Dog brewery in Moorseville quite frequently we now have a Chinese place for takeout when going home from black dog. We will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place for the fresh ingredients they use, the exceptional Service of the owner. when we left, We looked at each other and said that made us feel good.

However, I've been making regular visits out to my family in Putnam County and this has allowed me to drive by the Avon location of Raising Cane's. Today, I finally got a chance to check it out. Raising Cane's is a growing chain that specializes in chicken fingers (or tenders). That's it. That's their gig. When founder Todd Graves proposed the idea in a business class, he received one of the lowest grades because his professor said it wouldn't work. Graves persevered. Named after his labrador (literally named Raising Cane), this chain is growing with three Central Indiana locations currently (Avon, Carmel, Noblesville). As noted, Raising Cane's is based around chicken tenders/fingers in a handful of different combos. They have multiple sides, serve Coke products, and have both sweet and unsweetened iced tea. They have a two-sided drive-thru, though only one side was open at my time of arrival. You can dine inside, however, on this visit I did not. I could tell the curb cuts were appropriate, however, I won't speak to accessibility on the inside. The employees I met were friendly and helpful. I was able to upsize my drink, always a plus, and my order was accurate. I tend to prefer barbecue sauce with my tenders, however, I opted to try their Raising Cane sauce. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Raising Cane's is community minded with six areas of focus - education, feeding the hungry, active lifestyles, pet welfare, entrepreneurship, and "other" (meaning they enjoy supporting community organizations and will consider "other" ideas). While I'm not quite ready to go 5 stars here, I enjoyed the tenders quite a bit and I enjoyed the small order of crinkle-cut fries. The food quality was good and the quantity was a solid meal. Employees were great, the drive-thru went pretty darn quickly, and I have no issues with calling this a solid 4-star experience. I'll definitely be back.
