I've been working down the street and decided to give this place a try after my wife showed me their yelp and I was mad at myself for not coming sooner due to the amazing corn taquitos/burritos I had today. THEY WERE SO GOOD. If you haven't been here yet, do your like a favor and come eat here, you will not regret it. Called in my order of 5 corn taquitos/burritos around noon and the the lovely gentlemen let me know my order would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. As I walked in he was backing up my order, talk about fast and friendly service here. Got a side order of guacamole for my order and it was a very inexpensive lunch. The corn burritos/taquitos were popping hot and came topppd with a ton of cheese. I poured the red salsa it came with over the cheese and I got the final product of salsa and cheese covered burritos/taquitos. 10/10, highly reccomend. These things were amazing. Stopped by for a quick dinner with a friend. The cashier was friendly and our order was ready in about 10 minutes. They brought us chips and salsita rojo and verde. The chips were stale tasting but it was nice to have them with our meal. I ordered a chile verde burrito that had rice and beans in it and I added sour cream and guacamole. My burrito came out $16.95 which is on par with food truck burritos I have tried in Oxnard. I took my first bite of my burrito and there was definitely a kick of heat but I could not identify if my burrito was the correct order. I could not taste or see any pork meat. In fact it wasn't until I got about 3/4 down into the burrito that I could visible taste and see the pork. So my only suggestion would be to make sure the meat dents end up at only one end during the making process. Overall the burrito had great flavor. The rice inside was just how I like it and I think it may have been the spicy flavor I was getting at first in my first few bites. Unfortunately I was so hungry I did not take a photo of the inside of my burrito. Yelp check in offer of a free drink with a combo purchase. No stop in SP is complete without a stop at this family run restaurant. I've been very happy every time I order tacos or burritos . I tried their "corn burritos " which is apparently a thing. For the uninitiated, they are fried corn tortilla filled with refried beans, topped with melted cheddar cheese, and served with a special tomato based sauce. The sauce is a little sweet and has good spicy pop. I like to have meat so I ordered a taco, but the corn burritos would make a good shareable side dish to your entree. read more

We ordered some tamales yesterday and pick them up today. We got two dozen pork, red sauce, tamales and one dozen chili Verde tamales. When I brought them home, the smell in the car was driving me crazy I had to open them up and try them after five tamales. Let me just say these are some of the best tamales I've ever had. If you have never tried tamales from there, you're sadly missing a tremendous experience. Not only is everybody in this place very nice but their food is next level and the tamales are so good. Came here cause I heard they had the corn burritos they used to sell exactly the same as a fish and chip place they used to have In Santa Paula, near by this taco shop. They are good the corn burritos exactly the same and the sauce. That's usually the only thing I get here but I tried the posole it's super good I wish they put a little more meat. It's super fire, the customer service they are really nice we waited for out order outside and they delivered it to us , I never ate inside so I can't review that , it's small you can miss it . I came here on a recommendation from a friend of mine, who liked and frequented this place when he lived in Santa Paula. Now, years later, I find it is still living up to the recommendation. It's what you think of as a "mom and pop" place where the family takes pride in its work and does its best to give you a good culinary experience. Actually, I have yet to discover if there is a mom in this picture, but I have met and grown to like Jesus (pop) and his two sons Luis and Jesus Jr. There's also a nice lady who might be a daughter. Over the last couple of months since I moved here I have come to feel like I'm part of the family. I have tried and enjoyed many items on their menu but I am particularly impressed by the fish tacos, cheese enchiladas, and menudo. I have seen all of the family sharing roles as ordertakers and servers. The inside dining area has ample seating with a pleasant, comfortable family ambience. There is also patio seating that is usually filled to capacity by workers on their lunch break. There is appropriate Mexican music that yes, as some reviewers have noted, is played loud, but the staff cheerfully turns it down when so requested.
