Chorizo & eggs! Everything was delicious

The food was so good! My mother recommended this restaurant and I am so glad I took her recommendation. We came for breakfast and sat outside since it was such a beautiful day. Service was decent and we overall had a very pleasant time.

15 years of consistently good enchiladas and tacos later, in a town filled with Mexican food, this place remains our locally owned favorite for lunch. A nice sunny terrace on the corner of 10th and Main, we usually find street parking although there is a small parking lot under one of the town's many murals. If you are looking for vegetarian, try their cheese enchiladas or potato tacos or Rajasthan tamales. Tasty!

I tried my husband's pastor sope and it was really good. My chicken mole was saltier than I liked. I felt like I couldn't taste the chocolate or chili! I alsolike the horchata and the chips and salsa. The restaurant decor and the murals were really nice.

1 lb asada, 20 tortillas, rice, beans and salsa. $20! Great take out meal!

La Terraza has consistently excellent service and food. In a town full of Mexican food places, I keep coming back for more. In these Covid-19 lock down times, its important to support the places you want to see on the other side... La Terraza makes it easy by offering quick take out. I picked up taco makings tonight to keep at home. 1 lb of asada, 20 tortillas, salsa and a bag of chopped onions and celantro. Retried beans and rice make it a meal! At $20, it makes a nice change from my own cooking! Support local business and vary your diet..

So authentic and delicious. This place has that small town, homemade feel in the food and service. I also love the decor. My favorite is the Pastor Burrito.

excellent service and perfect grub after hiking the punch bowl

Ate here after hiking the punch bowl. You order ur food at the counter, get a number and the. head to a table and wait for your food to be delivered by one of the staff. Their chips and salsa was very fresh and seasoned well according to my palate. I ordered fried fish with rice and beans and it was delicious! the belly part of the fish was too salty for me, so i skipped that and finished the rest of the fish Their bathroom is clean The restaurant is clean.

Prior to coming in I had tried their beans tacos dorados (tres taquitos) and their chilaquiles. Tacos were okay. I felt like there wasn't that many beans inside. Chilaquiles were delicious. I live close but by the time they got to me, the tortilla was not as crunchy anymore. Still enjoyed them. When I went in, got the chilaquiles again since I wanted to eat them fresh. Even better. Loved the sauce and how crunchy they were. I did get the red ones. They are a bit spicy for those who don't like spice. I have really liked that they use black beans instead of pinto beans. Their red rice has always been nice an fluffy. Another time I went I tried their quesobirria shrimp tacos. They are tied for my all time favorite spicy shrimp tacos. They were so good. The chipotle sauce you do to add to it was delicious. Overall, I love Cocina 1912. Love that it's so close to me and how delicious the food is. I have definitely started to bring people already to try it and will continue to do so.

Cocina 1912 is located in downtown Santa Paula and was easy to find. Large signage outside and plenty of 2-hour parking out front and across the street. This restaurant is surprisingly large. Not only do they have the regular dining area but they also have an attached second room for dining and a larger event space. This space can be rented out for markets, parties - you name it. Would make a great music space too. Another standout here is the staff and the hospitality. The young gal working behind the counter was super nice and welcoming. She helped us with the menu and on deciding what to order. What I also love is even though it's an "order at the counter place", the staff were attentive to come over to our take multiple times to check on us. Talk about A+ service and care. This alone would keep me coming back. Thankfully, the food is equally as good and tasty! We started with a Jamaica drink which was refreshing and hit the spot. For our mains I ordered the Al pastor tacos and my friend went with the shrimp tacos that were made queso birria style. Lastly, I ordered a side of rice and means. Everything was tasty and satisfying! The tortillas are freshly made each day and you could really taste it. The Al pastor and sides were about a 4/5. Not the best I've had but totally satisfied my craving and I'd get them again. The real star of the show was the shrimp tacos! My friend let me try some and I was blown away by the freshness of the shrimp and thought it was a delicious dish. Very spicy though so I know I can't hang lol. Regardless though I loved them, so if you can handle spice and love a good shrimp taco, you absolutely must get these. Such a solid experience here and a fun time with my friend. We'll definitely be back!

But we have enjoyed our dinner entrees and had a nice experience. So, we have been many times. However, we have also ordered lunch & breakfast &, again, it's pretty pricey but honestly not as satisfying as dinner. The breakfasts are pretty good- have had some nice omelettes. As far as lunch is concerned- I feel disappointed. There was a picture of the fish tacos on yelp that looked good, so I decided to try them for lunch. It was not at all what was pictured. The fish was so so so dry, large clumps of american cheddar and just not any good flavor. Plus- they were $19. For a $19 quick lunch-I just want to enjoy my meal. I have had better fish tacos at Foster's Freeze, to be honest. I dont imagine myself coming here for lunch again.
