Tell your customers about the gratuity that in place before ordering. Let them know the percentage of the gratuity, so their not shocked when they get their bill. I went there for the first time, food was okay. But my bill was 185.21 , I gave a 10.00 dollar tip, then looked at my bank account and a $38.21 was taken out for a tip. It's a Little hole in the wall. They have a small parking lot which is a little tricky to get in and out. Their seafood is very fresh here. The oysters and their ceviche are what I recommend when you go. Their cook seafood is good too but their raw fish is better. I recommend trying their number seven on the menu. We had called seafood cocktail which was packed with octopus, shrimp, oysters, crab meat. Also had a combo plate with tacos, enchiladas and chili Relleno plus rice and beans. The combo plate was like 12 bucks and you couldn't even finish it. Ice cold Mexican beers. Great set up to watch sports. In fact we were here for Super Bowl unfortunately it was in Spanish. The place is only a few blocks from all the major Rent-A-Car places and probably only a mile from the entry to LAX. You got to come here it's the best restaurant so close to the airport. Okay first timer here. We ordered a michelada, empanada and aguachiles. The Michelada was good but BEWARE their shrimp from the aguachiles was bad. I don't know if they left it out too long or if it was just old. It had a weird off taste. My friend said that it was due to it being raw, but I love aguachiles and never before had they tasted nor smell like the ones we had here. I even told him jokingly "watch, bet you, we are going to be sick". I was only able to eat 3 from the 12pc $23 plate. Well well, guess who's been going to the restroom all day today? Yup, me and it's no fun, so least to say I'm not coming back. The 2 stars were given due to the good service from the ladies who work here. This was a yelp find and I must say, it definitely did not disappoint. I was looking for a breakfast place other than a chain near and around LAX and when this place popped up I thought okay, let's give it a try. My friend ordered the eggs and chorizo which comes with beans and rice. I got the mojarra frita (fried whole tilapia) which was the special of the day and was only $7.99! When our food arrived, I couldn't believe how huge the portions were. My friend kept saying "we could've shared the eggs and chorizo" but I was like "but I didn't feel like eating that!" Mojarra frita is always my drug of choice when I'm at a Mexican place which serves it and I love eating it any time of the day. So who cares that it was only 9am? My friend's eggs and chorizo was absolutely delicious.... and I mean, like TASTY! I didn't really see the eggs in there but my friend assured me that it was there and pointed out the little bits of white and yellow interspersed in between the brightness of the chorizo. My mojarra frita was cooked to perfection! Crispy on the outside, moist and succulent on the inside. The salsa they have is actually some of the best I've had in terms of flavor -- it had the right amount of spice to it and was a perfect complement to my tilapia. I felt judgmental eyes upon me as I devoured the fish from tail to head, licking my fingers, not caring what the person sitting across from me had to say. I like my fried fish and I can eat it any time of the day. Blah blah blah, I wasn't even listening! I continued eating until there were only bones left and my tummy was satisfied!! Dang..... what satisfaction!! If I'm in the LAX area again and needed a breakfast place I have no hesitation in coming back here again! Reasonably priced! Pleasant service! Good food! Place is solid. Ordered the shrimp cerviche and the whole fried perch in garlic. The fish was pretty outstanding, the cevche was just ok. Place is open 24/7 which is a huge bonus. I'd definitely come back here and give try more things on the menu. When I came, it was in the evening. Mostly Mexicans were in the place and they have a few TVs turned on a Mexican channel. So it's pretty legit. When I return I'll definitely write an update. The one thing I definitely want to emphasize is that most the dishes on the menu are more than $10. Was debating on going here because it had a letter grade B. Was definitely disappointed with everything: service, food and cleanliness. The waiter checked on us only one time and we were there for over an hour. Mind you, there was only one other table of guests there during our visit. The food wasn't hot, more like room temp. The only plate that was hot was the chicken tenders for my son. Our forks were dirty, the enchiladas had barely any chicken in it. The food overall didn't have good taste. The music was too loud, we couldn't even hear the waiter when he was taking our order which was not even necessary because like I said before there was only one other group there. I caught a glimpse of this place on IG. What really sealed the deal for me was that it was open 24/7. After a night out we headed here and sat around 3AM. Clean place, nice waitress, but that was it. I was so hyped after seeing the pictures on IG, and was convinced anything that was ordered would be so bomb. So, my girlfriend and I ordered coctel de campechana. We were excited because after tasting the juice, we didn't have to fix it up all the much; we just added ketchup. Unfortunately, it took my girlfriend one bite before she set it off to the side. She said it tasted so fishy as if they did not clean the shrimp, octopus, or any of the other seafood items. On top of that, her avocados were black. I was able to finish all 3 shrimp and 4 small pieces of octopus from mine after I doused it with Tapatio and more ketchup. Our hunger obviously was teased, and we ended up ordering a small shrimp quesadilla. It was ok, but our appetites disappeared after those coctels. We going up to go pay, and we asked if we had to pay / or even get a discount for the unpleasant tasting coctels. The waitress straight up said no because the boss tracks what is made, how shitty.
