The soup is sooooo freaking flavorful!! It beats going all the way down to the port! And let me not mention their secret sauce for the cocktails! Man this place is fire!

Ok, if you have not visitedd this place in the New Inglewood, California you must. This is a tiny place but the food is truly authentic Mexican food. The family recipes come from Jalisco, Mexico. They specialize in seafood like shrimp cocktails and authentic seafood soups. Again this is a small family restaurant but the service is great, they treat you like family. Prices are reasonable and highly recommend this for anyone who loves truly authentic food. The place is clean and nice as well. Don't give your money to large place support your local small business. Thanks

They did it again, my husband ordered a small shrimp and octopus cocktails and what a surprise.........NO OCTOPUS. You can come to this place if you like to have BAAAD SERVCE AD TO GET RIPPED OFF!!!!!!

I love this place because it's a mom and pop. How could you not love a mom and pop! We ordered a mixed cocktail, aguachiles and a mixed tostada. I loved the aguachiles it was so spicy but so refreshing after a long night of getting sauced at a wedding. Everything was fresh! The only thing I was t a fan of was a red citrusy type sauce they put on the cocktail and tostada. I have to say for me personally when it comes down to ceviche I prefer them being cooked in lime juice and heavy chile. More savory than sweet for me, however the quality was great! It's a small place and it's not fancy so don't go expecting it to be beautiful. Support small businesses!! So good, so reasonable! I will be back forsure.

Was craving some ceviche and since my last sea food spot , decided to try this little location ( it roughly fits 20 people or so ). We ordered shrimp ceviche tostadas and aguachiles. The tostadas were not disappointing at all, it was everything i had hoped for. The aguachiles were a little different than what I'm use to, a little creamier but nonetheless very tasty . I will definitely going back for more . I will say, I was not impressed by the Michelada I ordered, it was very basic, tomato juice mix, beer and chili and salt.

Yummy! Fish taco and shrimp cocktail! Small authentic, amazing flavor!

A little gem! Authentic and amazing! I had the shrimp cocktail and fish taco... Great flavor! This is a place for people who appreciate a little hole in the wall that offers something special. This is a true gem, thanks for the reviews that sent me here!

    El Rey Coctel

Open for Memorial Day, got the el Rey coctel, shrimp and fish soup and two fish ceviches. This place never disappoints, always clean. Everyone is so nice. Food is always fresh. Definitely one of my favorite spots!!!

i like to come to this place cause they have a very good dish(camarones a la diabla) spicy shrimp but today i had a very bad experience. i ordered two fish and shrimp soups to go and when i got home and opened up the container it was the sadest soup ever there where only two little shrimp in there and the fish wasn't very good looking at all if i ever go back to that place the things i would never order again are the soups

    A giant plate of guacamole!

Food: ° Shrimp & Octopus Cocktail - fun fact! The more you add into your cocktail the bigger the bowl is and it gets big. We added 4 different seafoods into the cocktail and it was delivered in a large bowl. But the cocktail has good flavor and you get so much it can feed 2-3 people easily. Great choice! ° Chicken Fajitas - this was a really good dish, its normal in size only this one had amazing flavor, the plate stayed warm the entire time, it comes with Rice & Beans and the vegetables and meat was cooked perfectly. You also get tortillas either corn or flower. ° Enchilada Plate - It comes with Rice & Beans and you can choose from red or green sauce. Definitely get the red sauce its really good and the flavor was just right. Great choice. ° Chips and Salsa - love love the free chips and salsa. The chips are made fresh and the house salsa can be used on anything. It's really good anf has a good consistency. Service: Our waitress was GeeGee and she was so awesome. Really friendly even had a laugh with is but did her job so well and was able to keep us engaged and satisfied. The food came out in a reasonable time and it's plated nicely. Everyone seemed to be nice and attentive. Atmosphere: They have inside and outside seating and it can hold large groups. The inside is very chill and decorated with flags from all over the world its pretty cool. It's not too loud and it does have a calm relaxing vibe. They do have TV's as well. Location: It's located in Inglewood on Century Blvd. close to Inglewood Ave. White building with blue trim. Prices: The price are great! My Chicken Fajitas with rice and beans and tortillas was only $18. Parking: They have plenty of parking with a private parking lot connected to the property, it's easy to get in and out of.

Great Mexican seafood at this Michelin rated restaurant in Inglewood!…read more My friend and I shared the following dishes: Ceviche Marinero: Fresh and tangy with a generous amount of plump shrimp. We asked for another basket of chips (free) to scoop the ceviche with. Crunchy and delicious. Filete de Pescado a la Plancha: The seabass was tasty and delicious! Nicely cooked and melted in my mouth. The side veggies and rice were also nice compliments. Each dish was around $23 - $25. Considering the portion sizes and proteins, these were a great value for what we got! You also get a complimentary basket of chips at the beginning with an actually spicy green salsa. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are nice. I liked seeing the display of news articles about this restaurant displayed. The service here was great as well. Our server mainly spoke Spanish, but that wasn't a problem since I spoke a little bit and he was very attentive. Overall, a great experience here. I ordered the ceviche cocido and found it to be mostly tomato, onion, and cucumber with very little seafood. It was also surprisingly flavorless. I also ordered shrimp with salsa langostina, and unfortunately that dish lacked flavor as well. The food was so underwhelming that I ended up taking it to go, but honestly, I don't even plan on finishing it. To make matters worse, when I went to pay, I had already been waiting in line for quite some time. The cashier chose to help another customer before me, and when I pointed it out, his response was simply, "I didn't even notice." It felt dismissive and added to an already disappointing visit. As someone who has supported this restaurant for years, this was one of the worst experiences I've had here. Between the bland food and poor customer service, I'm sad to say that I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

It's been a minute since I've have had a seafood boil and man was this place was worth the wait!!…read more I came with a friend on a Wednesday night and thankfully it wasn't too busy. As for food we got the Combo 2 and our choices were shrimp, clams and snow crab. We went with the Torpedo sauce for our boil cause it was a mixture of all their other sauces (garlic butter, classic cajun and lemon pepper) and we got it at a medium spice level. And oh boy oh boy did it set our mouths on fire but in the best way possible!! The sauce was everything we wanted it to be, spicy, savory, garlicky, tangy and just pure indulgence. To calm the heat though we also got cajun fries, rice, Thai tea and Jasmine milk tea. Sharing a meal with a friend is always nice but sharing a meal with a friend here is great. I believe food is the ultimate uniter and I'm happy we chose to go here!! My one and only con is just the location because it was a bit sketchy especially at night but the food and service was so good I think it's still worth it to go.

The menu lists market price for their seafood, but nowhere to physically see the prices so you must ask the waiter. I ordered a pound of head on shrimp in spicy torpedo sauce (their house combination sauce) and some mild cajun fries for sharing. The shrimp was well cooked and a nice aroma of garlic lingered from the chunks of garlic visible in the sauce. The sauce had decently chunky bits which adhered to the shrimp well enough and was delicious with a nice kick of heat. The shrimp were less than fresh but perfectly palatable. The Cajun fries were lightly seasoned, with a crisp (but not too crunchy) coating, similar to the exterior of an onion ring. They were great for snacking and whetted my appetite well. All in the food was good, but I just wish the shrimp was fresher to lend some subtle sweetness and fresh feeling to the dish.

The service is friendly and the process of ordering is self-intuitive and easy and the time process is quick knowing it is custom cooked to order for every customer that can be 10-15 mins or so and you can be in and out dining in quickly or take a meal "to-go" quicker. The steak is or was, mediocre. This is a seafood restaurant and specialty. If you come here, I'd say don't do the surf and turf (steak) but opt for more seafood. The shrimp grilled in the shell is lackluster because the shrimp often sticks into the shell and dry out, harder to eat and less delicious, in my opinion. All of the fishes that are grilled are great and the best options.
