This place is nice and clean, staff I've met are professional and friendly. This morning I'm had the Original Breakfast Burrito with bacon. It wasn't my preferred style but I'll be as unbiased as possible because it was still a decent burrito. Refried beans dominate, but they are flavored well. With the slurry of beans cementing everything together in texture and flavor is was harder to distinguish the other flavors. I know there were potatoes because I saw them, the bacon was long strip and only in a few bites, the egg is griddle fried, not scrambled and fluffy. Would I order it again, probably not; if someone showed up with these at work and gave me one would I be disappointed, not at all. Staff is 4.5 star for limiting salsa to 2 cups per order even though it's more management than the staffs fault. Location is 4.5 stars; good and inside is clean and nicely laid out with a decent salsa bar, just dine in and refill your salsa cups. The 4 star review mainly reflects my opinion of the burrito, not bad but not my preference. Decent value under $15 for a decent size/weight even though that's because it was mostly beans. read more

I always feel like a good menudo soup but some taco shops don't make them or only make them on Sundays. This place is quite small but they are fast. Its easy and just in and out! I just like convenience and the food isn't too bad. I loved their menudo bc they didn't put any hominy. That's just too much carbs. I paid an extra 2.50 for more tripe, but worth it for me. Disappointed in the Service I usually love El Ranchito--especially the Hemet location where the staff is always friendly and flexible. At this Temecula Parkway spot, Eva has been great in the past. But today (5/3 at 2:50 PM), I was met with unnecessary attitude from an employee named Estrella when I simply asked for grilled chicken in hard shells instead of soft. Instead of trying to accommodate, she brushed it off with a bratty tone. It's the small things in customer service that matter, especially when you're not feeling well and just want your comfort food. I'll be avoiding this location going forward. I'll remove this review when Estrella no longer works here. Eva is always great by the way. She should not be looped into the poor customer service. The food is better at the Hemet location as well. Absolutely the WORST fish burrito I've ever had. There was barely any fish, just small chunks of battered fried fish (mostly batter) mixed in with cabbage and this white sauce - I requested no pico (I hate raw onions & cilantro). It was obvious that they put pico on it and then scrapped it off, probably with all of the fish, because there may have been 3 tablespoons of fish in the entire burrito. I ended up opening it up, hoping to find some fish, totally disappointed, I threw the cabbage and sauce burrito in the trash. I usually order a chili relleno ala carte. Lately the chilis have not been cooked, the chilis are peeled but still raw and crunchy when trying to eat. I have asked them to cook them longer this is not the case, but still crunchy. I have had chili Rellenos my whole life, I have never had such Chili's. Also with the guacamole, I understand prices go up and that's fine, but there is more "pico" than guacamole. So sad. And they don't offer straight guacamole. read more

Had a running today with a man-child at the taco shop. I was in line and he shoulder bumped me and preceded to "mad dog" me. He has a neck tattoo that looked like a sun and he had curly hair but balding. He kept turning around when he was at the counter and I ask him if there was a problem because he bumped me and looked at me like a thug. He said I am the owner of the shop. Like that gives him the right to bump and stare me down. He was extremely unprofessional and I don't understand why an owner would do that to a customer, his business. Tacos were good (carne asada and El pastor). My family also ordered 5 rolled tacos (no cotija cheese and no guacamole) along with California burritos (which contained 1/2 the meat and filling compared to Los Jilbertos or Alberto's Mexican food restaurants, which are all consistently big). These burritos were all tortilla with a handful of fries and barely enough meat to consider it a burrito, especially when paying over $10 each). Overall, high price very little filling in each burrito. If you are in the mood for soft tacos, not a bad place but you will be very bummed if you are expecting a carne asada or California burrito (especially if you are used to eating at a your typical Mexican fast food place like Los jilbertos, Alberto's, Cotija's, Lolita's, or any common authentic So Cal Mexican food joint. This was huge waste for spending $146.00 and sad when they fill the burritos with 1/2 the contents. The large bean and cheese burritos at Walmart are waaaay bigger and 1/4 the price. Taco shop is in the Ralph's shopping center on the corner of Butterfield and 79south. Parking can get hairy. Friendly service. I ordered 3 street tacos and some chips. Tacos were good and portions were appropriate. A few tables and booths. All were pretty dirty and required some cleaning. I asked for some spray cleaner hinting that the table was filthy hoping they would clean it....they just handed the cleaning agent to me. Hence 3 stars... hopefully the kitchen was clean. Literally just stopped in for my FIRST time to get chicken enchiladas to go and I am wishing I would have just went to the Carl's Jr. across the parking lot. First of all, when you walk in NO ONE says hello. The blonde cashier is THEE rudest cashier I've ever experienced. After she looks you up and down, rolling her eyes just at you existing and giving their establishment some support she takes your order. I only ordered one thing. After I ordered I said oh can you let them know no pico and she very rudely says "WE don't put pico" as if I knew they were the ONE Mexican restaurant that doesn't put pico on top of their enchiladas. Then within 5 minutes my food is ready, which I'm a little skeptical about. I've never ordered enchiladas and gotten them so fast. Anyways, my to go box/bag is COVERED in red sauce. Today I had the pleasure trying out El Ranchito Taco Shop in beautiful Temecula California. Location: Located along Temecula Parkway and Butterfield Stage Road on the SW corner with plenty of free parking at this huge shopping center. Atmosphere/Ambiance: This little Taco Shop is beautiful decorated and very clean. At the time of my visit the place wasn't too crowded, and it was nice and quiet inside. Food: Since I was not very hungry, I ordered their soft taco's one with the Carne Asada and the other one with Chicken Asado. While I was waiting, I proceeded to their Salsa Bar and picked from a variety of different spice levels and sat down at of the empty tables. My food arrived quickly, and the tacos were nicely presented. I started with the Chicken taco and added some additional toppings to my liking. The chicken tasted moist it was very juicy, however it had somewhat of a strange flavor. The Carne Asada also was juicy and moist, but it too had a different flavor. Not sure if it was because the onions or the marinate they used but I will give them another try the next time I am in the neighborhood. Of all the Ranchito locations, the food at this location is subpar and MUCH more expensive than the others. Some items are $4 more than the other locations. If they lowered their prices to be at least within $1 difference I'm sure they'd see a jump in their ratings. read more
