Decent place for Peruvian food but nothing special. The Lomo saltado meat looked like a thin steak they just sliced into pieces and threw in with the other ingredients. The overall flavor wad good but not the texture I'm used to for Lomo saltado. Papa a la huancaina was good and the ceviche which we ordered medium heat was a bit higher heat than expected. Reading a 2 stars review among 4 and 5 stars... was curious enough to check it out myself. I couldn't understand why was the waiter blamed for the food being late. The "Perihuela de Mariscos" was spectacular... delicious and plenty of fresh seafood. Marcos, the waiter was excellent too... and the food was served sooner than expected. For some reason the two numbers listed did not work but my husband and I were sooo hungry we decided to drive there and try and get the food. I am he pickiest eater in the world and I was soooo pleasantly pleased!! The chicken salteado was AMAZING! The jalea appetizer was so good too! All the fish was fresh. I think that the chaufa could have been better it was missing something but I can't figure it out. Still good but a solid 5. Overall I give this place an 8.5. Great portions too. read more

To describe this restaurant in two words - AMAZING & DELICIOUS! This place is as authentic as it gets. I was introduced to Peruvian food because of this restaurant and I must say that it never disappoints. The leche de Tigre in the ceviche is a perfect balance of lime and salt and the fish always taste fresh. The lomo saltado, well, I'll let the pictures do the talking. My eight year old sister had the fried fish with rice and beans and she just kept saying how much she likes it and wants to come back for more (spoiler alert: she's as picky as they come) The owners always welcome everyone into their home like you're family. I dropped in today for their 10 year anniversary and they showed so much appreciation to their customers with free goodies, drinks, raffle and live music. Having grown up in Hialeah, I will go on a limb and say this is the best restaurant in "la ciudad que progressa." When I visit Hialeah, this is one of my go to places as the food is superb and ranks amongst the best restaurants I have gone to (although I have a strong bias as this restaurant is in my hometown). I highly recommend their ceviche and sangria. The staff is very friendly as well. In all, for the quality of the restaurant, the prices are unbeatable. read more

We returned a few weeks later (we were only a party of 3) and were seated right away. We all had different dishes: ceviche, Lomo Saltado, grilled fish, sangria. All the food was great and fresh. A few months later we ordered take out for lunch. Had the ceviche and the grilled steak. Very good. About 2 wks ago we did take out again and all the food was delicious. The seafood soup is really good, the ceviche is always fresh, we also had the steak and pasta (w/green noodles) which was very tasty. I guess the first time was a fluke. I was in the neighborhood after I purchased a vehicle and was hungry so decided to give this place a try. Wow, what a lunch I had!! I had their seafood soup ( I don't know the name in Spanish since I'm a gringa) and it was incredible. They do not skimp on their seafood at all. I then had their flan & it too was great. Ownership here is awful our waitress was awful!! We where first to get there to eat lunch. Ordered our meal and as it came out our dish was incorrect. When I asked the waitress to rectify the order she kept telling me how wrong I was and how right she was in taking the order. She never said I'm sorry I'll change it, she basically told me I was wrong and we had to eat it she wouldn't take it back. To add salt to wound she brought what I originally ordered to the table next to us, when I confronted her about that she stressed again how wrong I was, and so I just told her to remove the dish from my order and bring me check. The owner came by our table to basically back up her waitress and continue to insult us by telling us we where wrong one more time. We come here regularly after mass however they've lost our business. I refuse to give these people our hard earned money after the horrible service and care for there customers. Went in for dinner and the place was completely empty. My family and I (5 total) sat in a table of 6 and a server told us we needed to move as only parties of 6 can sit there. Mind you the place was COMPLETELY EMPTY; it was just us and another couple and they had the nerve to tell us to move. The food took forever to arrive only 2 of us order after they told us to move and the food took over an hour. The server was extremely rude and disrespectful. My husband and I come here at least once a week for the most part, the ceviche is one of the most delicious and fresh I've ever had and the leche de tigre is perfect as well! Most of the times we come, we order both the lomo saltado and arroz chaufa and there has never been a time where it wasn't cooked perfectly. The waitresses are some of the nicest in Miami and the restaurant is clean. Also, every time we've come here, we haven't had to wait more than 25 minutes to receive our food. So I came here yesterday which was Saturday it was pretty quiet, our food came right out, the waitress was excellent & the food was amazing. 2nd visit today Sunday, it was really busy the waitress apparently didn't give a bleep... We asked for an appetizer when we first got there and she said we couldn't order it because the restaurant was too full...... & we had to wait till we knew what our main entree was to order the appetizer ???? Like really..... Anyway the food wasn't as fast nor as tasteful.... I felt like they didn't give me enough food the 2nd time around, plus the whole table was out of water and the waitress yet again was no where to be found.... When I finally spotted her she was drying the forks and spoons... Literally 15 mins later she comes & asks how can she assist.
