I can only speak to what I have tried. I've had a few of the tacos and the size and the condiments on them were spot on. Some meats are better than others. I would stay away from the carne asada. The salsa bar is fair. It has a decent enough selection, but it is hard to get the cups to go because every time I have been there, there were no lids and I had to ask for them. I've tried the "Mojarra Frita con Papas Fritas" which is basically a whole deep fried tilapia with french fries. Don't tell my cardiologist. Oh wait, I don't have one. Nevermind. Anyway, I know this dish can be good, but the time I tried it from these guys, it frankly wasn't. They really over-fried it. Instead of just having a crunchy coating/exterior, the whole thing was pretty much turned into the coating it was so overdone. It wasn't seasoned at all either. I might try it again, but I'm not sure. Maybe they just gave me one that was overcooked. The shrimp ala diabla. That was really good. That is going to be my go to dish in the future. The diabla sauce was very thick, had a nice tomato and chile texture and flavor. And it was HOT! Yeah, now that is what I am talking about. Too many places call it shrimp ala diabla and it tastes like marinara sauce. This one had a good strong bite. Makes you feel like your alive when your chomping down on them and sweating. Take a taco truck, pull it inside a building, add a few tables and chairs, and there you have it! It even looks like a taco truck in the back with all the stainless metal. They have a great menu of options with all the usual suspects. The prices are very reasonable and the food is pretty good. The restaurant is very clean and very well kept. One thing that would make this closer to 5 stars is the meat. The meat is good but nothing special. To me, the thing that sets taqueria places like these aside is really really flavorful, delicious meat options and unfortunately, there's nothing special here. All around a good stop. read more

It is high time I review this place considering I've been going here for a couple years now to get my taco fix. I usually go for the asada and birria tacos with loads of onions and cilantro and a fresh squeeze of lime on homemade tortillas...not to mention a big glass of horchata. My bf and I usually split a side of rice and beans too when we get tacos here if we are really hungry. I have tried the enchiladas here too which are decent but for the most part I stick to the tacos. I enjoy the authenticity of the place and the service is good. Downside is that if you eat there...the lighting is pretty horrible...for me at least. It is extremely bright flourescent lighting like i feel like im going to be interrogated. The food started out GREAT but my last three (consecutive) visits were horrible. First time, I waited about 20 minutes to get my dessert. I had to show the receipt to show I paid for it before they brought it out. Second time, they ran out of chicken, so used "seasoned" chicken instead of pulled chicken to stuff my enchilada. I wish they had told me that they were out and I would have ordered something else. When they are out of desserts, they let me know. Crazy!! Third time I ordered the chicken in mole sauce. Sauteed chicken breast with onions, bacon, and mushrooms in a thin, salty, brownish and flavorless sauce. No taste of mole at all. As I left they asked me "how was it?" and I shared my opinion with a response: "Maybe the next time." I've been here many times and the food is good but I don't think I'll be coming back because of some problems I've had. I have had my tortillas forgotten about 5 times. It's very frustrating because I have to drive back to get my tortillas, every time (luckily I live close). I've even told the worker "can I have flour tortillas?" since he didn't offer me tortillas........and another time, i got corn tortillas instead of flour which i asked for. The food is good, very flavorful and semi-authentic. I love the white corn tortillas, they have a flour tortilla consistency with all the flavor of corn. The portions are enormous so plan to have leftovers. Service is great but the tables and menus are sticky and it's not well lit. It can be really loud too. The real winner is their House Aged Tequila! Even if you're not a tequila fan you'll find yourself sipping this smooth oaky delight slowly. read more

I was a regular of the Bellevue location so I was VERY excited when I learned that there was an Everett location. The location is a little awkward sitting slightly behind a gas station so do not miss it. The salsa bar is great and seemed cleaned every time we visited. Staff is great and have always been responsive and helpful. I have gone back a few times and tasted the things so I can compare quality. They are very comparable and taste great. I came here at 10 Pm, on Friday the 23th, first my family and i places our order. The lady working on the front is really nice. But the waitresses are the opposite. when the food finally arrived, my order Of tacos was way to cold and I asked them if they could reheat it, the waitress gave me a look and took them anyways. When they came back, they came with veggies and it wasn't what I ordered, I asked them to take it back and give me what I ordered. Finally The came back and to my discretion, the barely put any meat. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this little gem never disappoints. The plaza where it is located can get a bit busy due to its popularity but the wait is worth it. The chips are hot and you are able to choose various salsas at the salsa bar. El Rinconsito has various soups for those cold northwest days and a few menu items you wont find at chain Mexican restaurants. Great choice if you find yourself in the area. read more

This place most definitely serves REAL Mexican food, and for decent prices. My boyfriend and I eat here at least once a week. Sadly, sometimes the quality can be hit or miss, depending on the cook. Luckily when it's good, it's SO GOOD!! My favorite thing to order is the steak or shredded beef tacos. They always have specials going on in store and if you follow them on Facebook they have additional specials, you can just show them the post at the counter and they will discount it for you. When we were leaving the employees were nice enough to say "have a good day" (Even when I came in w/ a semi attitude) The only reason why it's not 5 stars is cus in deducting points of the salsa bar ! I thoroughly enjoyed going to this place up until tonight. Upon finishing my main course I was told before hand that my desert (churros) was on its way. 15 minutes passed and I was sitting waiting with my finished main course. I had to remind them what I ordered as they forgot. Fair enough, place was pretty busy for a Thursday night. Once my churros got my table I took one bite and one bite was all I needed to not even attempt to eat the rest. The churros were still frozen inside! I came here for the tacos, my husband and I ordered quite a few. We got asada and unfortunately the meat was hard and rubbery. Not fresh at all, you could almost tell that the meat was probably sitting there all day or was possibly heated up from all previous day. Barely any edible meat bc like I said, it was so rough and rubbery. Just cheap meat with hardly any flavor. Also ordered some aquas frescas, which didn't have much flavor either.
