It's so 'potato', as a potato lover I appreciate how minimally processed it is. It's not mashed or mixed with flavorings, it's really just a perfectly cooked potato with a drizzle of sauce. I don't think the potato will blow anyone's socks off but I really liked it :) Service is very friendly, it's giving family owned vibes. The interior is festive with lots of Peruvian decorations and there's a cute faux grass welcoming mat outside to set the mood. Overall I recommend this place! This place was DELICIOUS! All of the flavors were on point on all of my dishes. I ordered Lomo Saltado (flank steak), leche de tigre, and the dessert of the day that turned out to be a flan. I ordered through uber eats for delivery. I didn't expect much since it was delivered but everything was excellent. They also gave me a surprise breaded shrimp appetizer and hot sauce. What a nice touch! It's hard finding a good Peruvian restaurant and am so glad I found this one! I can't wait to dine in and try other dishes. This place is a bit remote (it's next to an auto garage and a few kitchen supply stores), and it is outstanding. Of note: the Jalea mixto is perfectly fried, crispy without being too oily or soggy. Also, the lomo saltado is outstanding. We paid the extra amount to get it with filet mignon and it was worth it: super tender and flavorful. The ceviche is great, but not any different from La Cibicheria or Limon. The Rachi is also very tasty, but I prefer Cau Cau, so I wish they offered that. They also do a Causa with what I think is a crab filling, and that was very good. read more

My boyfriend found this place after an IG posted a picture of the Crab Ceviche. We decided to check them out and they are new-new and busy! They have the Grand Opening tomorrow, but were open today. We ordered the Special Crab Ceviche- which as special and not on the menu and the chaufa de pollo. The plates were beautiful and delicious, the salsas were spicy and flavorful. The leche de tigre was so flavorful and delicious with the crab legs and shrimp. This place is mouthwatering good! Heard about this new place on IG and knew I had to give it a try. Peruvian food is one of my top 3 so I was so excited. The restaurant is located on the industrial side of Cesar Chavez, right off 280. There aren't any other restaurants or bars nearby. Plenty of parking during dinner on a weeknight. The ambiance is causal and spacious. All the staff were attentive and very nice. Even the chef came out to ask us how our dinner was and thanked us for stopping by. All the flavors are there and each dish was really pretty. My favorite had to be the tallarines verdes. We ordered them as a side dish which isn't an option on the menu, but the chef accommodated us. Only thing I wish was that they had more wine options. But I'm sure that'll improve with time. Here's what we ordered: Lomo Saltado with Filet Mignon-10/10 Bistec a Lo Pobre-8/10 (wish my egg was a little more runny but still soooo good, could have done without the fries) Tallarines Verdes-10/10 Pisco Sour-9/10 It wasn't very busy which is expected being that it's fairly new. Not Worth the Hype or the Price I rarely write reviews, but this place was such a disappointment I felt compelled. The prices here are on par with high-end Peruvian spots like La Mar Cebichería, but the experience is nowhere near comparable. The ambiance is tacky at best, nothing that justifies the fine dining prices they're charging. The food? Aggressively Over-seasoned and over-cooked, I ordered temperature medium, that drowns out any real flavor, and rice that was borderline inedible--undercooked and hard. For what they charge, you'd expect at least the basics to be done right. And the cherry on top? They tack on an extra fee if you pay with a credit card--something they don't bother to mention anywhere. It's a sneaky and shady move that leaves a bad taste, even worse than the food. Save your money and go somewhere that actually earns the price they're charging. This place is all cost, no quality. I recommend Roosters in the Mission or the street stand at 16 and Mission served by a lady. read more
