:Cozy, welcoming, and family-run, this restaurant brings authentic Peruvian flavors to town with a casual, relaxed ambiance and friendly service Lomo Saltado: A house favorite--tender, well-seasoned beef sautéed with onions, tomatoes, and crispy fries--captures that classic comfort taste And the Ceviche omg!! 5 stars! We ordered also choritos a la chalaca and arroz con mariscos! Delicious!!

    Location hours

Came on a Saturday night at 8:30pm only to be turned away because it was closed. When the sign on the door says it closes at 10pm. When we walked out the girl changed the sign to closed and locked the door. Bad business to have those hours posted at the door and not be open.

Had an errand to do in the area and I'm so glad that we stopped by this unassuming location to get food. Honestly one of the most delicious restaurants I've eaten at in SF. Inside was very beautiful and great ambiance, staff was super friendly, and again cannot emphasize how delicious and pretty the food was. Para los que hablan español les súper recomiendo este lugar. Sin duda de los mejores platillos peruanos que he comido y con una presentación hermosa cada uno. El interior tiene decoración hermosa y todos los del restaurante muy amables. De seguro vendré de nuevo :)

My boyfriend found this place after an IG posted a picture of the Crab Ceviche. We decided to check them out and they are new-new and busy! They have the Grand Opening tomorrow, but were open today. We ordered the Special Crab Ceviche- which as special and not on the menu and the chaufa de pollo. The plates were beautiful and delicious, the salsas were spicy and flavorful. The leche de tigre was so flavorful and delicious with the crab legs and shrimp. This place is mouthwatering good! The waitress was so nice and really took care of our table, as the place started to get crowded and uber eats orders coming in and out all the time. This place is going to do so well!

Heard about this new place on IG and knew I had to give it a try. Peruvian food is one of my top 3 so I was so excited. The restaurant is located on the industrial side of Cesar Chavez, right off 280. There aren't any other restaurants or bars nearby. Plenty of parking during dinner on a weeknight. The ambiance is causal and spacious. All the staff were attentive and very nice. Even the chef came out to ask us how our dinner was and thanked us for stopping by. All the flavors are there and each dish was really pretty. My favorite had to be the tallarines verdes. We ordered them as a side dish which isn't an option on the menu, but the chef accommodated us. Only thing I wish was that they had more wine options. But I'm sure that'll improve with time. Here's what we ordered: Lomo Saltado with Filet Mignon-10/10 Bistec a Lo Pobre-8/10 (wish my egg was a little more runny but still soooo good, could have done without the fries) Tallarines Verdes-10/10 Pisco Sour-9/10 It wasn't very busy which is expected being that it's fairly new. I really hope more people hear about this place because the food is solid! Excited to try more from their menu.

I've been to this restaurant few times now and this time I ordered tacu tacu con lomo saltado but I told them to add two eggs and plantains and it was delicious. This restaurant never disappoint me. Friendly staff and the food is consistently good.

Such a wonderful spot to celebrate my sister's birthday! While the restaurant was in an unassuming location, the ambiance inside was wonderful. The food was sooo delicious, good portions and Chef Jorge even came out to greet us. We told him we love his food and was able to get a photo him. They even threw in a nice birthday treat for my sister! Highly recommend and we will be back.

The food and the service was amazing. Went there for Mother's Day and we all enjoyed the dining experience. I recommend this place very clean, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and prompt every time we would ask for service. Please come here and enjoy their amazing food. Cheers

As a Peruvian living in the U.S., I'm always looking for spots that taste like back home and this place nailed it. The fish in the ceviche was super fresh, and the arroz con mariscos might be the best I've had in the Bay Area. Some of the decor was all the Peruvian candies and snacks I grew up eating, deff brought back some memories, which was such a nice touch. I'm definitely coming back!

Fortunately for us, El Dorado was conveniently located a block away from Moscone South (yes, I had my eye on the restaurant ahead of time and had made a reservation). The first night, Jorge greeted us warmly and walked us through the menu. The restaurant's vibe is neighborhood casual, though still appropriate for a date night or nice family outing. We wanted to try a little bit of everything, so we ordered the ceviche trio, the empanada sampler, and the pescado frito, which is a pan-seared red snapper entree. For dessert, we had the churros and mango mousse cake. Everything was delicious, and our favorites were the original ceviche, the veggie empanada, the fish, and the mango mousse cake. For drinks, we ordered the chicha morada and pisco sour - both refreshing and yummy! Jorge was also our server, and service was excellent throughout dinner. We enjoyed everything so much and joked about dining here again tomorrow. Pretty sure Jorge did not take us seriously! The second night rolled around, and I couldn't stop thinking about the veggie empanada and pisco sour... so we dined at El Dorado once more! We did not have a reservation this time, and thankfully the restaurant had a couple of open tables. We told the host (not Jorge; sorry, I forgot your name!) we had dined with them last night, and he chuckled. Pretty sure he thought we were kidding! This time our server was Ayduri, who was very sweet and attentive as well. We got a full order of the veggie empanada, the shrimp causa (kind of like a tart potato salad with shrimp), the churrasco entree, and their seafood pasta special. For dessert, the chocolate cake. Another chicha and a maracuya (passionfruit) sour this time. All the items delivered - especially the churrasco, which came perfectly medium rare, just like we requested. And, to our pleasant surprise, the dessert was on the house, because we dined there twice in a row! All in all, El Dorado is a gem in SOMA. Granted, I do not venture into SOMA often, so my palate only knows so much. But I'm confident you'll find something to love here. And chances are we'll be back again the next time we're in the city.

I had the arroz criollo, which reminded me a lot of paella. The seafood tasted fresh, and the whole dish was flavorful and satisfying. I also got the passion fruit lemonade, which was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. And definitely save room for the churro! It reminded me of the churros at Disneyland, but even better. It was filled with hot caramel and paired with cold, bittersweet chocolate for dipping -- such a good combination. Everything we had was delicious, and we'll definitely be back!

There is a nice selection off the main menu for Happy Hour 4-6pm. Providing an opportunity to sample one or more of the menu items as an appetizer. I chose the mussels with garlic bread, as good ones are not found easily. The portion was quite ample, and the sauce I dipped my nice crunchy garlic bread in was very flavorful, warm and delicious. I also tried the plantains which were cooked perfectly; not too mushy with a perfect char, and the sweet onions on top were also tasty. Paired with a very tangy dipping sauce. All the flavors came together well. My husband ordered the Cantina burger which he enjoyed down to the last bite. Our daughter also sampled off the smaller menu with Lomo Empanadas and the Chicharron de Pollo which she reported were both very nicely prepared. Will, our server gave us excellent recommendations which we availed ourselves of. The bill for 4 items plus the burger, a side of rice, and a ginger beer came to just under seventy dollars, which was a reasonable price. I would definitely give the food five stars, and the restaurant four as it's a long and lengthy bar with a few tables for two. The majority of the seating is in the back with two flat screens and an open kitchen. I can imagine how loud this place can get. We went at the perfect time: not a lot of customers so we received excellent individualized service from Will. I would hope to be able to return next time we visit GG Park and sample some more menu items like the Peruvian Paella which sounded very promising.

I definitely recommend the Kaiyo roll, which was not our first pick but recommended by the waitress (thank you). My only complaint would be the speed of service and attentiveness. Our waiter seemed to be pretty overwhelmed by the size of our party and came back 4 times checking in and leaving promptly before taking our order (not intending this was deliberate, but it gave the impression of possibly being overwhelmed by a larger party?). She also did not seem to know about what contained gluten when my wife (who is celiac) had asked.. doesn't seem like the best communication between the front and back of house? Alas, with multiple requests of checking with the chef if items were gluten free, we had no hiccups and continued with a satisfactory meal. Overall, it's difficult to tell the full capability of a service team when you come in with a larger group so I cannot fully fault them. However, the food and drinks were delicious, I left with a full belly and an allergic reaction free wife. I would come back here again but possibly with a few less people than 12. FYI- bring a jacket!!
