The menu has a great variety of authentic Mexican dishes, including tacos, gorditas, carnitas, carne asada, birria, enchiladas, fajitas, seafood and several other options. I also really like that this isn't one of those places with a huge menu where everything tastes the same. There are a lot of different choices and flavors to try. The service was another highlight. The staff was friendly, attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the overall experience was relaxed and enjoyable. The restaurant itself is bright, colorful and has a fun atmosphere. It's also easy to get to on Grant Line Road and has plenty of parking, which is always a plus. I ordered two flour tacos, one with chicken, one with steak. The tortillas were a bit of a disappointment. They were thick and barely heated. But the tortillas were stuffed. Chicken or beef, lettuce, tomato,and some grilled onions. Tasty. The only "fail" was the side of guacamole. To my taste, it was bland, lacking garlic, lime, any real seasoning. There was a happy hour special on margaritas at $4.99. So I jumped on it. They brought me a huge 20oz goblet filled with an excellent frozen margarita. I usually find happy hour drinks are watered down, but not in this case. Arguably, one of the best margaritas I've had, and coming from a Texas boy, that's high praise. Of course, i was billed $9 for the drink. Apparently, I ordered the happy hour special and got the jumbo sized non-special price. No worries, the drink was that good. Ok, food. The tortillas seemed to be house made. Light and fluffy. I'd be shocked if these had come from a package. But, I don't understand why they serve such a large portion with only 3 tortillas. They were filled with half an order remaining! Probably a good thing, as that other half will be enjoyed at home! The fajitas were terrific! The steak was tender and well seasoned. Lots of grilled onions and peppers. And Mango's is one of the few restaurants that serve strips of beef rather than chopped up "bits" of steak. Our language of speaking Spanish is not very good. So we have eaten items here normally we would not have because of the language barrier. Beware the chicken is very hot. And when we ordered this item, it was too hot at times. The taste was great but cooked hot. Now for us that want an option for vegetarian they off that choice as well. The vegan version is also available. These variations are well planned out and actually part of the menu. Now the spooky season is available each time that you visit here.
