Cheap, delicious, flavorful, with friendly service. What more could you ask for? I'm not a big quesadilla fan, but theirs are outstanding. Their burritos are hands-down the best in the area. This is the little taco truck that couldn't. Situated in a gravel parking lot, former site of an old car dealership, it can be somewhat challenging to actually find your way here. The best approach is to head south on 15th Ave towards the Ballard Bridge, but then exit before the bridge as if you were going down to Leary. The taco truck is on the corner of that exit and 50th St. I had two different tacos - carnitas and asada - and both looked and tasted like the meat was boiled instead of grilled. The plate of rice and beans was ok but fairly bland. The salsas in the squeeze bottle were lackluster. The horchata was overly sweet. All around, a disappointment. This has got to be be one of the premier Taco Truck joints in the Seattle, I have been waiting to review this mainly because I wanted to try it multiple times to justify it's 4 stars. After a few visits it has earned them and rightly so. If you're a bit adventurous and can handle beef head or tongue tacos give them a try. Here are few pointers in order for these tacos to be great the beef head has to have a nice consistency and freshness to it. The tongue has to be soft & moist with a slight chewy-ness, but not rubber like. These guys seem to know how to cook these two to perfection. The asada is somewhat bland but just squeeze a drop of lime and add a dash of salt and you're good. They have all of your other regulars on the menu like the carne asada plate or enchiladas. The tortas (mexican sandwhich)are packed with all kinds of great flavors and big enough to split. To wash it all down go get yourself a refreshing bottle of purified H2O...yeah right. Try the orchata (rice & cinnamon drink) or go with the staple Mexican drinks, jarritos (various flavors) or the good 'ol amigo Coca Cola. Tried this food truck out today as I've passed it many times going down 80th near 15th. I didn't like that the prices were not posted anywhere for the food items. Also, my food was served in a styrofoam container. Is that still a thing? I ordered chicken enchiladas with mild green sauce. I've never had enchiladas made with flour tortillas before (normally corn) and it was extremely salty. This is coming from someone who loves salt! Nice neighborhood spot to grab some pupusas. I like the queso con loroco and revueltas myself, but I have never been disappointed ordering any of them. Friendly service, sometimes it takes a little longer, but that's just because they're busy, and that's always a good sign in my book. The curtido is a bit spicy, so navigate around the chili flakes and jalapenos if that's not your thing, otherwise it's quite surprising. This place is the hidden gem that you probably wouldn't think to try if you didn't know what to look for in a food truck. The flavor is on par with the best I have had in Mexico at a price point that one should expect from their food trucks. I got the lengua tacos and spicy pork torta. The torta is a messy, super tasty affair like a proper sandwich should be. The tacos are a perfect balance of the ingredients and were a total flavor bomb. They offer sauces, which are excellent. I found good homestyle Mexican food in Seattle! Grew up in southern California and lived in Hawaii seven years so I normally have to wait until I go home to get the good stuff but not anymore. Found this little gem while heading toward the bus. The menu is simple but fresh and delicious. They accept major credit cards and are about what most hole in the wall places charge for delicious food like this (so basically you can get a ton of food for cheap). Parking is easy. And the couple who runs the place are so sweet. Already helping myself to seconds. Got ten of the tacos ($1.25 each) for three people and had us a little feast. 1/2 the order was chicken (delish) and the other 1/2 were beef (even more delish!). I wanted to try something different, and I always see this when I go to the Ballard Safeway. So I thought I'd give it a chance. I got the Texas Burrito. Very filling. I like that they have black beans. The burrito was good but I feel the meat was missing something in flavor. It wasn't bad. It was good, but not great. This is the best taco stand in Seattle. They have great salsa, green and red, both which are pretty spicy. I have been searching for this particular type of red salsa since I had it in a similar place back home in MI. Their tacos cost 1.53 with tax. Nothing wrong with that, EXCEPT their sign says 99 cent tacos. Um, what?? I asked them about it, and he said somebody broke their sign. Um, what? Why don't you fix it, I asked, or take over the 99? He did not appreciate this, ending up with "I don't give a f**k."
